So I got one hell of a surprise this morning and have come in to a little money. I have an awesome career that I have worked very hard for. I plan to go back to school again and further my knowledge of my job. I am a single parent and still stand on my own two feet. I don't depend on anyone and have done everything on my own. I pay for my own house, car and bills. I love the feeling of being an independent woman. To be honest, I had this whole big thought on this blog I was going to write. Something that would capture the imagination, and maybe make people ask questions. Then I got a phone call from someone I had not yet prepared myself to speak with. I am sure by my constant silence, she realized I had so much to say, and no way to say any of it. A Story I Wrote
My body as well as my gear was bouncing off of the C-47’s floor, along with every other soldier aboard the plane, that night as it started down the runway to pick up speed to take off. The day that everyone had been waiting so long for had finally arrived, D- DAY. The more speed the C-47 picked up, the worse the vibrations became. I held my Thompson machine gun close to my chest. It was the one thing that helped me stay calm through the German flak and night fighters that I knew were coming. Then all became somewhat calm, we were finally airborne. The only sound that could be heard was the sound of the wind whipping past the jump door as the engines strained to gain altitude. The pitch of the two engines changed which told us veterans that we were at altitude and we were headed for France and the welcoming committee in Normandy. First Day
Ok well it is 3am, so I doubt this will be a long one. I started a new job, test driving Prototype cars and trucks. And today was my first day out on the road. I had the best time. Moms Passing On
Today , my mom passed away at 6:50 pm and her fight is over. She suffered enough and now she is at rest. I spent the entire night with her last night and i spoke to her and she had her eyes open for a couple of hours. I was going to spent tonight with her as well, but when i got the call not to go...it all came in. I cried more times 2 days ago for how sad i was FOR her. I cried several times today and the only nice thing is that she joined my dad for the first time in 41 years...HER FIRST AND ONLY TRUE LOVE. Shes no longer in pain and resting well. I was glad to spend that last night with her. I saw her body after her passing and with her head tilted to the right, she was not moving or breathing but she was at peace. Updates On Me
Just a little note to let u know about me. I quit my job today... My kids will always come before any job. So we agreed months ago when school was out that my ex would have the kids while I worked and I would pick them up afterwars. Today was the first non school day. Losing Teeth
Well I went in to have a tooth checked out. There was no saving it. I was really sick a few years back and it really messed up my gums and the bones. I might lose the whole bottom row of teeth. This is really depressing to me. I know when I look at people I look at their teeth and now I will be on the other side of it. They had to remove one front bottom tooth. I now have a space there. It looks and feels weird. There is nothing I can do to save a few of them. My last dentist didn't make it any better because he wouldn't do a cleaning the whole 3 years I was going to him. He just keep pulling teeth and was thinking he was going to fix them before he would clean them. Now I know he was making it worst. I think it was the big bucks he was getting for doing the work. Well I hope the new dentist will make it better with out pulling the whole bottom row.

New Artwork
For those interested, I've been going through bouts of being on Fu a lot and then not being on so much, just showing as being online. Spinach leaves Red onion, cut into rings Tangerines For each salad, fill plate with spinach leaves. Top with onion rings and tangerine sections. Sprinkle lightly with Mom's Spinach Salad Dressing just before serving. 18 Years!
It's hard to believe it really has been that long, but 18 years ago, this beautiful girl was born into my life. She's always been Daddys Girl, as much as my son was attached to my wife, she was attached to me. I remember how she used to look at me with those big brown eyes smiling, as if she really believed I could do ANYTHING. :) Well she has grown up into a mature responsible kind hearted civic minded young lady, who is almost always willing to play the role of peacemaker, but do not let that soft exterior fool you, once her patience has run out, she can be a bulldog. We all know that typhoid is a very dangerous disease and could lead to death when left unattended. I was suffering from headache and high fever 3 days before I was confined. As Of Now.....
Well I am all on the mend from the accident. One broken toe may have to be operatedon, depressed about not being able to run, I do get to the gym now but not the same as a nice jog. My oldest son is once again trying to drive me crazy so he can control my bank account! R.I.P. PUDGEY on x-mas 2008 we got our daughter a puppy.. he was such a cute little thing, just an adoreable lil pup. when we went to pick him up he was in a litter of 7 pups the guy was giving away. after a few moments this pup was just standing there with his front paws over the edge of the box. our daughter went over to him & they were nose to nose. he licked her & she kissed him back. they were ment for each other, love at first puppy kiss if you will. at first we had a hell of a time gettin him trained to potty outside & being "gentle" around the baby (our daughter). but it didn't take long realy until he was the one gettin the blunt of the punishment.... from the lil one!!! lol she jumped on him , sat on him, poked @ his eyes, pulle dhis ears & lips, and he never snapped at her. not even once. now how many puppies or even full grown dogs will let a child do that with out snapping at them? likwe i said they were made for each other. he was her protector. the way i was tea

Zucchini Bread With Nuts
Another good old harvest-time recipe...1-1/2 Cups all-purpose flour1 tsp ground cinnamon1/2 tsp baking soda1/2 tsp salt1/2 tsp ground nutmeg1/4 tsp baking powder1 cup sugar1 cup shredded unpeeled zucchini1 medium egg1/4 cup vegetable oil1/4 tsp finely shredded lemon peel1/2 cup chopped walnutsPreheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl stir together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and baking powder. Set aside. In a mixing bowl beat together sugar, shredded zucchini and egg. Add oil and lemon peel, mix well. Stir flour mixture into zucchini mixture. Gently fold in chopped nuts. Turn batter into a greased 8x4x2 loaf pan. Bake in 350 degree oven for 55 to 60 minutes or until done.Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and allow to thoroughly cool on wire rack.Wrap and store loaf overnight before slicing.

Some of you may recall back to the first week of August when I was admitted to the mental hospital due to increased depression/anxiety, suicidal thoughts, had a very graphic and totally workable suicide plan, and hallunications of my dad uncle. I ended up staying a week including a three night stay at the ER under suicide watch. When I was first discharged I felt great and felt like I could tackle the world with my new found "sanity" but in the fast few weeks I've been hearing voices telling me I will be back in the hospital in 6 months or less, constant whispering and snickering, and my increasing collection of vivid and graphic nightmares about being readmitted. I have an appointment in the morning with my therapist and I'm not to sure what these new developments in my mental state will mean to him and the course we will take in my therapy. I haven't written on this in awhile. I didn't keep up a whole lot on it anyway and when I did get on it was just to read what Duane was writing from Iraq.
