This Day Of The Year Every Year
This day is ALWAYS hard for meto sleep nowdays. Oct.27th.... This is the day that i gave life to a child after knowing only 2 mths that is was pregnant. He weighed 4lbs and 1/2oz. he was fullterm also.... then in Feb he got RSV and was hospitalized and almost died onus. He was a great and VERY spoiled kid.He loved life and made veryone smile everyday. then onAug.3 01 there was a car wreck. The damn setbelt and the seat of the car took him from all of us...... He would have been 13 today... I miss my boo! But i am so glad that he does not have to go thru all the drama of the life here on this god forsaken ground anymore... The pain NEVER leaves and you dont get over it... You learn to live with it... why does today bother me when i can handle it any other day of the year... I guess i will wait till the sun comes up and go tout to where we laid him to rest (which i did NOT get to go to the funeral because the STUPID ASS dr wouldnt let me leave the

Fast Taco Soup
Fast Taco Soup It's a fiesta in a bowl! If you like a little spicy heat, add a seeded, chopped jalapeno along with the beef or a pinch of chili powder along with the taco seasoning. Servings: 4 Ingredients: * 1 tablespoon olive oil * 1 pound lean ground beef * 1 can corn, drained * 1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans (do not drain) * 4 cups low-sodium tomato juice * 1 package taco seasoning * Tortilla chips, for garnish * Shredded cheese, for garnish Directions: Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Possible Shakespeare Imitation (idea Only)
so, in my intro to shakespeare class, we have to read one shakespeare book a week. dumbass me forgot about how many days i had so on tuesday i read over 100 pages of "the taming of the shrew" and still didnt finish (i gave up at 10 pm). after i was done, i had an almost uncontrollable urge to speak in iambic pentameter. in class, when we were talkin about the book and watching clips of the BBC version and some other better version, i realized i was slowly thinkin in imabic pentameter. lol by the end of the semester, i'm sure i could almost imitate shakespeare, so i'm going to challenge myself. i'm gonna try to write a story, not a play, in iambic pentameter. it's going to be hard but i'm sure i could do it. now then, i need ideas...any suggestions?

It's hard to frame my thoughts. On Wednesday at 5:23am here in Vegas, my world was shattered. My nephew Devon passed away after a massive infection (Septic Shock) ravaged his body. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS FIRST BEFORE LOOKING AT PICTURE. Family on holiday in Australia for a week and a half when husband, wife and their 15 year old son decided to go scuba diving. The husband is in the navy and has had some scuba experience . His son wanted a picture of his mum and dad in all their gear so he got the under water camera ready to go. 69 days and yes Carlton is still an addict I thank u God, my higher power for allowing me 2 live as a functional addict. Bell Ringers
I saw the bell ringers are out today. I'll never forget one a few years ago. I put a dollar in the pot and the bell ringer grabbed my hand and got a strange look on her face. Her eyes looked black, lifeless, and then she rolled them back in her head until I saw only whites. Her lips did not move, yet I heard a voice say, "Under your pillow. You will find happiness under your pillow. You will sleep tonight and in the morning you will find it. Happiness...under your pillow." Well, I was in a rush and didn't give it a second thought, until I went to bed that night. I slept so peacefully, never stirring, and never waking until morning. I've never been so shocked as when I woke up! Because I lifted my pillow, and would you believe there was not a fucking thing under it? I still can't believe what a cool trick that old woman played on me. :D

On February 22nd 2008 (my 23rd birthday)... I was on vacation visiting my love and my wheelchair tipped over a step. Due to my fragile bone disorder, the impact broke my legs and injured my spine. Because the hospital was unfamiliar with my condition, the doctors gave me some heavy pain narcotics that my body could not handle. The drugs put me in a state where my lungs almost stopped working and I was experiencing respiratory acidosis. That means that my lungs were not getting rid of the carbon dioxide. I had to be intubated and put on a ventilator and eventually the doctors had to perform a tracheotomy. I was in the hospital a little over 3 weeks and had the trach almost a month. A Better Me...
I've had a lifetime to deal with all this pain, at one point, I think I went insane. I've always made it back to myself except I always lost a part of my self. All In Time
I woke up this morning and had to run a couple errands, and finally when I got home I had to go to the transportation department for a bus aide position. Took the kids to McDonalds. Its like crack to them. Got home and it has been cooking and cleaning; which it seems no matter how much I clean it is always messy again like ten minutes later. alot has been on my mind regarding my job..this past month. We have had a slow period..not enough patients..etc.Some due to Doctors going on vacation..etc.. Anyways, this is first time in 19yrs I have seen it this bad up there. We have been combining with the medical floor. I was beginning to wonder if we were even gonna have jobs. Anyways, got called by my boss today. She wanted to let me know what was going on. I guess they plan on having us be a small unit..with just 10 beds. We will be open monday through friday and what few patients we have left on friday we will move to medical floor. She was asking me if I was willing to work 12hr days. I will only have to work 2 days a week instead of 3. I will not have to workweekends...and lesser holidays. I said it sounded wonderful. Although I am sure my paycheck will notice the difference. The warm sun was sinking into the ocean as we walked down the beach. What was once bright and impossible to look at was turning a deep orange as the horizon consumed it. A Sad Day Yesterday
On Saturday my husband son and I took our 15 year old cat to the vet to put her to sleep. She has been sick for the past few weeks and yesterday she was in such pain so weak we could not let her suffer any longer. It was a very sad day for all of us. And will be for some time. This Past Week
I would say Ive had better weeks. I've had worse ones for sure, but let me just give a quick lay down here. first on Saturday my monitor decides it wanted to go boom. normally not a big deal, but bad timing as I don't have the resources til next week to actually go get a new one. Then had another endoscopy done to see how bad things are in my stomach. Wont kn the official results until our sit down on the 20th of this month, but he did say my esophagus is healing, but now I have inflammation of the stomach lining. that combined with a possible hiatal hernia could be what has been causing my stomach pains the last two years. I dunno what they are gonna do, guess we shall wait and see on our sit down. Most likely just more drugs. UGH! Good note friend of mine found a spare monitor today im using til i get my own and tomorrow is fridayyy.

Surgery
I just found out about an hour ago that I will be having to have surgery . The surgery date is scheduled for February 3, at 8am . I know it will slow me down a bit, but I know me I will be up and running hopefully by that evening . This is another obstacle I will overcome and get on with my normal business . I am one who doesn't take long to heal , I know they say about 4-6 weeks for recovery but I know me . The least amount of time I am down the better I am on getting back to where I need to be .

So Monday was when the ex's trial started. I testified on Tuesday morning and the jury got the case that afternoon. Wednesday morning the verdict was guilty. He was taken immiediately into custody. No sense really in trying to play catch up. School is going well - only a year and a half to go before I get my degree. So I have a bit of a thing for female vocalists, especially of the singer-songwriter variety, and I've been lucky to see a number of great acts at our local Arts Centre - Erin McKeown, Kimya Dawson, Nina Nastasia, Thea Gilmore, Jill Barber, Piney Gir, Mor Kabasi, Isobel Campbell, to name a handful... And I would put last night's Laura Veirs gig on a par with any of those. This Summer
How exciting has my summer been? Well so far I've been nonstop. Two classes and a lab for the first summer session, then a lovely trip to Fort Mccoy, Wisconsin for 28 days. Laying in bed, two days after Thanksgiving, I get a phone call from my daughter, who is living in Alabama going to college. All I remember her saying is, "mom, Waynes dead". Wayne is my ex who I had left May 20th due to personal reasons. He was also my best friend and had been for many years. The night before he had gone out to meet a friend and hang out. Well when he left to head home, about 10 minutes down the road, suddenly there were lights coming at him and he had no where to go and no time to do it anyway. He was hit head on and killed instantly. He was the 1st fatality of the season, thanks to a sorry ass drunk driver who survived because he was so damn drunk. Now there is a 7 yr old little boy, who no longer has a daddy. A daddy who thought his son was the best gift from God. Here is the irritating thing. These SAME people don't spend the 2 minutes to read anyone else's. They are so busy whoring themselves out for points that they forget that there are humans on the other side of the computer. Yeah this blog is nothing but a bitchfest, but what is sad is that the people that REALLLLYYYY need to read this won't take the time to read it because they are working on their next bulletin begging for points or ways to get more fans to satisfy their need for points.
