OK so I am still out of town as I went to see Tom Petty and the Heart Breakers with The Strokes opening for them. Let me tell all of you that missed it you missed one hell of a show not but 5 songs in Petty introduced all the Heart Breakers and one Honorary Heart Breaker none other than Stevie Nicks who litteraly whiped the over frenzied crowd right over the top. It was Christmas morning Mistress had told me last night she had a surprise today.i laid awake in my cage thinking all night of what it could be. My Not So Good Evening
My day didn't get bad until after work. I get to the subway station and the subway is crowded. Already, I'm thinking bad things. If it's that crowded at the first station, the train must have taken a long time to get there, or in this case, been there for a long time. No one knew for sure why. Anyways, just as I sit and get comfortable, everyone has to get off. Didn't say why (that annoys me right there). Anyway, we had to wait on one of two buses to get there and they were both crowded. Not to mention it took a while to get there. We get to a couple subway stations down the line (by now, it's after 6. I'm usually home by now.) I get to the subway station and it's just as crowded as the buses were and the subway was before that. (If you can't tell by now, it was basically the same crowd.) My Lifetime Whisdom
So many people, who write books, seem to have some great secret wisdom to share, but all I seem to have is that wisdom I have found through those same books, in music, and even in silly little quotes. I could fill these pages with those things I have been blessed to learn, I do think they are well worth the time and the ink, and maybe you might find something more here that maybe you didn't know. For instance, rain falls and sometimes it falls on your head. Just as the sun warms my skin, warms us all. But for some, that sun is hard to find. If we could be the sun for those others, then maybe we as a people might just get through our own sadness. I guess it could be seen as selfish, but I have found when you give warmth and light to someone else's life, then your own life warms up and you feel so full. Man, getting the "word out" about naplesnerds.com is ROUGH. I did it for naplesplus - and it's all over the web. I did it for NeighborHelp Referrals' Affordable Trapping, and we get TONS of calls when someone needs trapping. But Naples nerds --- man, this is going to be tricky. Computer Problems, A Note To All
To All My Fubar Friends & Family, Hi everyone, I wanted to tell you what's going on if I happen to be off line for a few days. My laptop is completely screwed up, the screen is broken I think. The comp works I'm on it now but I can't see the screen at all. Their is a button that hit's the top part of the lap top when it's in the down right position, it ensures the the screen is completely off when the lap top is closed. When The lap top is up I can press the little button and the screen will appear for about 3-5 seconds. That's how I'm using the comp now, it's like doing everything in the dark. I click the lil button to make sure the mouse it at the right place and stuff but other then that I can't see anything. I was told it might now be the LCD display, it might be a switchboard that's not giving power like it should. If anyone has any suggestions as to what it might be please leave a comment here for me. Fu-trouble...
Is anyone else having trouble viewing/posting photo comments? I can't see any of mine and when I try to post one for someone else it doesn't show up for me, but they can see it. Also... You know how you use to be able to select someone's photo album and click from photo to photo at the top or click on the current photo to go to the next? I can't do that anymore. I have to exit the album, reenter it and select the next photo. Priorities
It's time for me to re evaluate my priorities... I honestly wanted to make "god mother" by August {my birthday}, but I just don't see it happening... I'll be here through the end of the month and then I don't know. Anyone That Was Wondering About Hurricane Ike
It hit us in Houston HARD. We have been without electricity for almost a week now. Hopefully, we will all have power again by Tuesday. It has been pretty hard to find water and ice, and almost all of the stores around my area have been closed. Me and my boyfriend stocked up on beer, cigarettes and canned food last week before the storm hit, but that shit didn't last long. Luckily, one of our friends had elecricity at his apartment still and took us in for a few days. My apartment still doesn't have electricity. Trees were down all over my neighborhood, as well as telephone poles and pieces of houses/fences/parks/etc. Looks pretty bad around here. Galveston took it worse than us. They are still under water in some places.

This year has proved to be the worst one of my life!!!! On A Serious Note...
I just finished budgeting my last paycheck and have everything all set aside for the next week. I feel inadequate though. I am sending monies to my babies but I feel like it's not enough. I'm not asked for any support because frankly I didnt receive any when I had my babies with me. But I do know there are things that need to be bought especially food and clothes etc. So I will be leaving shortly to go get the stuff sent and such. Then sneak in a nap before work. You may not know this about me but I like hockey. My love affair with the Lightning began when I was in highschool Tampa got it's hockey team and tickets were cheap and abundant. I read one virgin burners story about heading to the playa and it brought a tear to my eye because a lot of what he said is true and makes me miss the playa... Amsterdam
For those who didn't know I've been in Amsterdam for three days. Back home now to my more mundane surroundings for a bit of recovery so I thought I'd write a bit on the subject. Ok, so now I'm not sure what I was going to write... hmm... wait a sec.... Well, the trip was for my friend's stag do (bachelor party to those across the pond). We left Oxford at about 7am on Saturday. Getting there was a bit of a mission. It involved driving, then a bus ride, then a plane journey, then some walking, then a tram ride, then some more walking. Finally got to the appartment at about 3pm. The appartment was a pretty cool place to stay. There was only really supposed to be four of us and the appartment supposedly slept a maximum of six, but there was plenty of space for all eight. The only thing they can do to help her with the pain is morphine and radiation -- The doc has given her 2 weeks - 2 months if that. Up until a week ago she didn't even look sick or acted like she was sick -- now it looks like she's skin & bones :( and can not get out of bed. Cancer is a serious thing that hurts everyone affected please make sure those that you love, you, and friends get tested for any types of cancer - it just might save someones life from alot of pain if detected early enough HUGS TO ALL

Advance Individual Training
Ok...now that i've talked about Basic Training, let's talk about my MOS. I am a 92 GOLF which is food service specialist. After BCT, I drove with my parents up to Fort Lee, VA. When we got there, I had to say my goodbyes and leave my parents again. I had to dump all my clothes out for a shakedown to see if I had any contraband on me. Luckily, they didn't find my cigarettes so that night I smoked about 4. The next day we did our in processing which took about 4 days. When our classes for cooking started, I was soooo excited. Finals
Last Thursday I took my psychology test. Top 10 grade. No biggie. =P I THINK I passed my english class. If i don't i am going to die. I do NOT want to take english again and then FINALLY take the course that is required of me. Blah. Anywho... Woooo, what a day. I took my biology and math final today. The biology exam pissed me off. My professor did NOT ask me ONE question about global warming or the water cycle. yet he kept bitchin' about it during class. Argh. Anywho, I think I passed with D. hehe. Next, my math exam was pretty good. I knew most of it but one fucking problem was pissing me off. I think i got that one wrong but i KNOW i'm passing with an A. hehe.

~yesterday I told my crush that I was falling for him. And I feel like a complete ass. Ive done things in the past that I am not proud of, and I am afraid that it is going to bite my happiness in the ass. ~Things have been different since I have been seeing him, but *shrug* who knows. ~been seriously considering leaving fubar again... or just walk away for a while so that I can fix the life that I have *outside of the box*.
