I was going to make this flashy but decided not to. I just wanted to take a few minutes to write this blog and say a few things. It's the holiday season which means spending time with family and loved ones. Enjoy that time with them. Put aside past differences and just enjoy the moment. Next year is never a guarantee. Those around you and in your life now might not be there next year or even tomorrow. Smile and laugh. Make memories that years from now will still bring a smile to your face.
Don't focus on what you don't have in your life this year. Focus on what you do have. Focus on the friends and loved ones who care for you and love you. Be thankful for the life you do have. If you don't get that gift you were hoping for, that's okay. There are people who will get no gifts, who will spend the holidays away from loved ones whether they are the one currently serving overseas or whether they are the loved one at home waiting for their soldier to come home.
Sure at times family and friends can drive us all a little nuts, but there are times we do the same thing. Just enjoy the time, make the most of it. Be safe this holiday season especially if you are doing any traveling. And I'll end this by saying I'm glad you're a part of my life in one way or another.
