I am going into IT. Soon I could be working on YOUR computer. Scary thought, I know. Just kidding. I'm working on my A+ and then my Network+ and last my CEC which is for Computer Forensics. So I'm busy with that on top of learning HTML. No. I'm not trying to kill myself. Another reason I have not been here, is due to an illness and pain I have been experiencing. Luckily, I am fine, and there is nothing major besides a stomach illness I have had for many years and allergies. YAY. I'm Tired.
I wanted to kinda drop a line to everyone and let y'all know what's up since I haven't been in touch alot. Nobody reads bulletins, so I figured this would be the best way. Not only am I now employed again, but was working 2 jobs for a period of time, and currently haven't had a day off at all in almost a month. Currently, at the behest of a of good friend, I am reading a book on ethics studies, and questioning my morals. Do I actually have any? If I knew a friend was going to lose their job would I tell them? What if my boss told me in confidentiality? Well, for me it's not a matter of ethics... it's a matter of survival. If someone is losing their job- you better believe it's not going to be me. If you're drowning next to me, I'm using you like a piece of driftwood. Hey, doesn't mean I don't like you... but if I have to choose- it's going to be ME, every time. However.... if you throw my sister, or my two kids into the mix, I'd slice my own throat and walk over broken glass to keep them from being hurt. Teen girls involved in chase Two teenage girls had to be chased down on foot by RCMP after the alleged stolen vehicle they were fleeing in left the road early Thursday. Const. Kathe DeHeer of city RCMP said the incident started around 1:30 a.m. when officers attempted to stop the vehicle for a minor traffic offence at the intersection of Gaetz Avenue and Piper Drive. A brief pursuit followed and ended when the suspect vehicle drove off the road at 77th Street and Riverside Drive. Is It Just Me?
Is it just me or have things really changed that much since I was in my twenties? I mean it seems like these kids have absolutely no respect for anything including themselves. Went on a road trip yesterday with a friend and her daughter. Crap I haven't laughed so much in , I don't know who long. Emily is 16 and is almost as cool as her mom. Was I that cool when I was 16? Overcoming Fear
So, yesterday was a big day for me. Maybe not that important to many folks..but for me...it was a day that I got to overcome a fear. I have never had the "opportunity" to be involved in a Flammable Liquids or Gas Fire..they just haven't happened around here. (thank goodness.) And all of my training in that area of firefighting has only been textbook/classroom. The pictures of dangerous situations and the videos of disasters caused by explosions are enough to scare even the toughest personnel. That is what they are supposed to do...so you have a healthy fear of the dangers...and don't do anything stupid. But, since I have never been involved (because, luckily, every call we have had involving tanks etc...there was no fire involved...yet) And, because of the scary stories of 11 firefighters being "evaporated" in a BLEVE with only one bone fragment found that would even incicate that there was anybody there, I developed a "fear" of these things. I speak of my friend a lot, but sometimes it is better to get the point of view from someone who is a good enough friend to tell you the things about addiction you do not want to hear. I have lived here since 1965 and yes I’m old and yes I’ve seen a lot of changes over the years. Up until a few years ago there were large pastures, wooded areas and lakes all around my home. I grew up fishing, hunting and exploring this land and getting to know Mother Nature. That has changed thanks to people who have no respect for her or her wonders. They have come in and devastated the land to build houses and communities. In doing this they are forcing the native wild life to find a new place to live. I have 3 acres of my own with lots on either side of me that are 5 or 6 acres each. The properties have woods on them and no houses other than mine. This is going to sound stupid to some of you. I was sitting here tonight working on a story, came to the end of a sentence, and was trying to decide whether or not to end it with an explanation point. This is one of my pet peeves, the misuse of punctuation, and so I wanted to do it right. So I imagined it as being a real life situation and decided, yes, it needed an exclamation signifying a bold revelation point rather than just a period which would be indicative of just an end. That’s when it stuck me that this is an exercise that I should be applying to real life. How much of what we do should have an abrupt finality and how much should be not just a benchmark, put a point of pride and hope? May Spring Run
Hello folks .. Been away a while , about 3 weeks , and just got home... I went on a long run from Kentucky down to NC then up the full length of the Blue Ridge Parkway , through the Monogahela national Forest , back down through WV,Va,Tenn,NC into Georgia then back to KY.. I have just added some of the photos I took along the way ( I screwed up on transfering one of my data cards to my puter and deleted over 300 photos I took but had some left on other cards) These are not the best of the shots I got but they are the only ones I still have... So I wish they were a bit more professional looking but I hope you all enjoy them.. Hey there everyone sorry its been so long since I added to this conglomerate of bitch sessions.. been busy dealing with the real source of these... the public. Today i think one of my top gripes is gonna be people who drive small cars and think they must be magic. For those of you who have ever moved a household you understand that when moving you have to transport items from one loacation to another. Most people use a large vehicle, either a truck or a van or rent a semi. LARGE being the opt word. WHY is it that when people go to the store to buy said large items they bring the smallest car they have and not only buy the biggest thing possible but insist that this item and 5 friends who came with them are going to fit back in said car. Case in point: Its weekend before superbowl and you decide you want a larger TV to watch the game. So you hop in the car and drive to your local TV retailer. What is up with these dumbass people who rate pics less than a 10? If you don't like a pic, just don't bother to rate it! I have had a few people contact me to say that they accidentally rated a pic less than a 10 but then they re-rated it a 10 (or an 11, if I am lucky). That's fine. That mistake is as easy to make as sending a shout out to the wrong person (which I have done many times, sorry if I did that to you). However, I get these chicks who check me out and rate my pic a 1. I don't get it, does it make them feel better about themselves? It's just plain rude. Most of the people I have met on CT are really terrific but these few just plain old piss me off. There, I feel better now that I was able to rant about this.

Well this week started out on a great note. First thing Sunday morning i Passed my CDl test so i could start driving 18 wheelers acrossed country Legally. Then tuesday i found a couple companies to drive for, which wont be a problem. Won my 2 softball games tuesday nite, then went to the bar to put down a cold one or 3 and ran into a great friend of mine that just got home from Iraq. I have never relized how much our troops do for us until i sat and talked with him about his missions over seas. Then today July 4th in which is my fav. holiday i have sat home and had a BBQ with family. having a bon fire and met some new great people on here. I hope i can meet some more in my near future. Well, on that same day, at night - I found Missy- not even 3 year old Dane Girl. Emaciated, HW positive, massive Phermitria, Mastitis, skinny as a bone,sweet as can be. She also has lacerations on her throat, by her ears, like somebody attacked her or wanted to cut her throat. Missy had to be rushed to the vet's office. She could not even lift her head. She was put on IV for 3 days, hoping she will regain some strength. On the 3rd day the vet perform surgery. Missy survived. Missy is now in recovery. She will need to gain a lot of weight before we can treat her Heartworms. Once all is done, Missy will need a home where she will start a new life.
