Well, I know I haven't blogged for a while, much less spent much time on fubar as it is. A whole lot of shit went down with my ex. It turns out that she was cought injecting forign substances into her 2 year old daughter four years ago at Riley hospital here in Indy. She was on probation at the time of our son's birth. She also was not to have any contact with nyone under the age of 18. She is now is jail due to violating her probation. The judge just sentenced her today to serve 2 years back-up time. Since it because of pobation violation, she will have to serve the full two years. I have had to go through the process of gaining custody of my son, as we were not married. It was easier than I thought it would be, and was succesful. I do not know if retains parental rights still as of yet. If she does, I will have to make sure that in 2 years if she wants to see our son it will be under court supervised visits. For now, I am taking it day to day as a single father. My family

How Did I Manage That?
I was recently told by one of my supervisors that I needed to get new uniform shirts and it might be a good idea if I bought new pants as well. This was a little embarrassing to me, because I've never been told my clothes were too BIG before. So, today, before work, I went to the uniform department and went shopping for some new pants, and lo and behold, I lost more weight than I had realized.... I dropped 2 shirt sizes and 4 pants sizes. How is it that it took that much before someone told me I was starting to look a little sloppy? And how is it, when I'm doing nothing different in my life except for the person I'm with, that I've managed to lose that much weight anyway? We're talking AT LEAST 30 lbs here!

I thought this was illarious. A ROADSIDE toilet stop ended in pain, embarrassment and almost death for a tourist when a highly venomous snake bit the end of his penis. The deadly brown snake slithered between his legs and lunged at his manhood as he crouched on a roadside near Laura, 300km northwest of Cairns, about a month ago. Thats right, from what i have seen though its not all stations yet. However there is a nice assortment to pick from. Old and New. Old as in I dream of Jeanie Old. There is this new website, thats free to use, however you must signup to view the movies. They provide full episodes, as well as short clips to be viewed at your leisure. I tried it out and was suprised at how well it worked. However the navigation while simple is almost to simple. If you are like me and work odd hours, but love shows that come on NBC or FOX, and it appears other networks are being added as we speak. I suggest you at least take a test view of this site. Hulu Ya the name sounds funny but its nice to know you can find shows when your bored. Even really old shows from your youth. Be advised there are short commercials where the original commercials once were. So far from what i have seen the commercials come in at less then 10 seconds each. The Big Move
Well I'm not liking this at all. BUT it's happening and I can't really fight it anymore. So I'm packing up and moving. Matter of fact, this is my last week in Texas. I can't believe I'm even saying that. But I'm moving to Denham Springs Louisiana. It's a small town about 30 minutes North of Baton Rouge. There are lots of pluses to moving too. There is a school there for my Daughter that can help her deal with the ordeal she has just been through with being missing and all. Which I am very excited about! We'll have land of our own. LOT of it! 75 acres of land with a 15+ acre lake sitting on it, a river that runs through it, a pond, and a forested area. So that's cool. It's about a 4 hour drive to the Florida coast. About a 2 hour drive to the Louisiana coast. So tons of fishing. There's also casinos! LOL Not to mention the sheer history of the state which I think will be cool to learn about and explore all the historical sites. And the Ghost Hunting will be AWESOME!!! So ..

So here comes another tedious TV blog. Yay! My vacation made me miss two episodes so I'll only address them in short having watched them on Tivo. Going Crazy
I have been going crazy tearing myself apart over something lately. Its been so bad i'm not even sure what to do with myself. Even worse I know what I should do and I just can't bring myself to do it because it would mean giving up something that means more to me than anything. I've realized that it is just making me crazy because I want something so badly it hurts and I know that I'll probably never have that again but I'm to stupid to just let go of that last tiny glimmer of almost nonexistant hope. i just got home from a long stay in three diferent hospitals . i started to get very sick and ended up have two opps. on my lungs just to save my life . my right lung had two holes ,one at the top the size of a dollar and one at the bottom the size of my fist . had a colapsed luge with a chest tube over 12 inches long to help me breath and was in danger of my hart colapsing as well. i am in lots of pain and not sleeping well,but i do feel the docs. did a great job putting me back together . i have been given a new chance to live and will make the best of every day i have left. may Buddha bless and keep me in his heart. i truly found out how strong i am ,it is mind blowing what you can handle when you at deaths door.

My Mission
Ok today while I was in church, (yeah i do attend church sometimes), the pastor was talking about missions in life, and the paths in life that our mission takes us or perhaps our calling in life. Now, I believe that one of my missions was to teach pre-school, now ok done that one. But as I sat in church he was also talking about the paths in life we all take, and the paths that we take are paths that God has chosen for us. My kids are almost grown and out of the house (16 and 19). As most of you know, Im dating a wonderful man who has 3 small kids of his own that he is rasing basically on his own. He and I have discussed me moving to be with him and his kids as soon as my youngest turns 18. I believe that this is the path or mission that God is planning for me. Two Days Of Normality!
After the blatant excess of the weekend, I managed to stay in last night (Sunday) even though there was cock on offer! Just sitting here hanging out, listening to some music, and it dawned on me. I have one more Monday left in theater. One more Monday. I have 8 days and I get on that blessing, that sweet bird of freedom. After a year, I have done a lot, seen a lot, and been through a bit. I have learned a lot as well. One of these days I'm going to reflect back and summarize the past year. For now, just know I have enjoyed it, am enjoying it, am looking forward to getting back stateside, but at the same time, am going to miss being here. I am going to miss the desert. Not the sandstorms, lack of beer, or being on Camp Arifjail, but I have made some outstanding friends and had some fun. Now, I'm back to sorting out stuff to be packed, carried, or mailed.

Mum Update ......
Hi I hope you had a great weekend and your week is off to a great start. I went with mum to the hospital today to get the results of her MRI scan. Great news!! The cancer has all gone!It hasn't spread anywhere, so she doesn't have to have any more treatment! They did say that there is one lymph node that couldn't be removed with the other couple that had some cancer cells in it when she had her surgery. So mum will have to go for scans and checks every 4 months. But the prognosis is positive!! They also said her brain scan was clear, so no leisions. They think the paralysis in her arm and hand was due to the chemo and now she isn't having any treatment the feeling and use should come back completely over time!! Thank you so much for all your words of comfort and support over the last months, it's been a very difficult time for me and my family.Your friendship and support means so much to me. Hugs Linda xx

What If.....
I have started this blog several times over the past few days but I can never seem to figure how to start & what to say. I think it's because I have so many different emotions inside me right now that they are all trying to take over one another. On Tuesday this week, a guy went on a shooting spree in Alger. This small little town is very close to where I live & also on my mail route. This animal killed 6 people & wounded 4 because he was mad at his mom. That in iself is tragic...I knew 2 of the people killed. I can't help being relived that the day before was a holiday(2 days worth of mail...takes longer to do) because I woulda been there at the same time that this happened. I could have been #7. The realization of this has made me reevaluate my life...I do know that I will never deliver the mail there again without thinking of those poor innocent people that had the lives taken by a madman.

New Literature Needed
i need new books to read. i haven't read a good book in sooooooo long it's rediculous. i love reading and if i had the money i'd buy at least one book a week. but i haven't really read anything in months. but then i've been so stressed out dealing with my life that i just haven't had the interest to ready anything. when i'm stressed out i have a hard time connentrating on a book and i usually start reading something then forget to finish it. kinda annoying really, but at the same time if i'm gonna read something i want to be able to enjoy it with as few distractions as possible. so if anyone has any suggestions on reading material feel free to let me know. i'll read anything...except some cheesy ass romance shit. hahahaha. i'm a big fan of fiction, sci-fi, horror, history, biographies, etc. and of coarse non-fiction.

Marriage
before anyone thinks that I have a troublesome marriage...no, I don't. I have a best caring and loving husband in the world. And yet somehow every time I see people say that they are getting married, I feel severe sadness for them. Its a cage that takes away your freedoms, confines you to a certain standard, makes you a slave in your own dominion. WHen I hear the word "wife", I think of a slave, someone who is always on a leash. Someone who always has to answer to everything she does. Justify everything. I have always been a very free person, and had no authority growing up. My parents never cared for what I did, and I was never responsible for anything. And all of a sudden...marriage. I am fortunate that hubby realizes my free spirit and doesn't try to get me to change. Otherwise this would have never worked for me.

My Fear Of Bridges
I took these photos to challenge myself. I face my fear every day, every morning, every evening. For some people phobias might seem like a joke. But other people will know how real they can be. My fear has been with me as long as I can remember. Which is to say that there isn't a timeframe in my memory I can look back on when I was not afraid of bridges. I wish there was. I have had hypnosis therapy to deal with a traumatic experience of seeing a bridge collapse in Connecticut when I was about 9 or 10 years old. The root of my fear is that it will collapse while I am on the span. My secondary fear is that I will witness it collapsing and people dying but I myself will be spared. My lower level fear is that I will one day see a jumper. I've been in traffic because of one, I've read about them, but I haven't seen one. And I hope I never do. Today for an English class i had to write an essay, on any topic i chose. I choose the last 3 months of my life. What A Weekend.....
This is a lil bit long but its what us military service member go through in the daily military world. Friday Sept 19, 2008 I forgot to turn in a key for a (Conex) after it was locked up. I wasn't the person that got the keys from a key box nor I was the person that locked the Conex. But while I was on a smoke break out of the work area a co-worker gave me the keys to hold it for a second, I had totally forgot that I had put the keys into my right cargo pocket(the pocket that i never use). Next thing you know I recived a phone call from work on the next morning at 8:01am or should I say in military time 0801hours. I had stopped drinking at 4am, so basicly I was still drunk. Apple Raisin Pumpkin Pie
Autumn Recipe Apple Raisin Pumpkin Pie Serves about 8 1 unbaked 9" deep-dish pie crust 1 cup raisins 1 (10-ounce) jar sweetened applesauce 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 can (10-ounce) pumpkin 1/2 cup evaporated milk 2 large eggs, beaten whipped cream for garnish Pre-heat oven to 400 F. Bake empty pie crust for about 10 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle raisins in the bottom of the crust, then spread applesauce over raisins. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together sugar, spices and salt. Stir in pumpkin, eggs, and milk. Pour mixture into pie crust. Bake below center of oven for 40 minutes or until set, or until a knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool to warm temperature to serve. Garnish with whipped cream if desired.

Making Changes
Making changes of any kind is hard> Sometimes it means you give up everything for the one you love and care about. Changes might mean moving away from friends and family or moving to a new country to be with the one you love. Yes changes are hard but we make them. Making my change has been great for me. Everyone makes changes whether good or bad ones. The changes I have made lately have been very good. Yes this is a big change for me but very well worth it. Sometimes the changes are not always the right ones but we learn from them. When changes are made sometimes the people you love get lost in the shuffle..but take a few minutes to explain the changes to them and they will understand. Making changes too quickly is not always the best thing but we do learn from them. Changing your hair color is easy---Life changes can be hard--just think them out and it will be fine. Joint Pain Iii
I am still having loads of pain in my right hip and knee. The pain of walking is almost as bad as it was before I had the surgery on my other knee in 2000. I can't exercise worth a crap. The orthopaedic doctor was stumped when I saw him last Friday (9-26-08) - he sees and feels nothing wrong. He referred me to yet another doctor, recommended physical therapy and an MRI on my back. He gave me a shot in the knee and it hasn't made any difference that I can tell. MRI and X-Rays back in July really showed nothing wrong other than normal arthritis for someone my age. I can tell you this is not just arthritis. I am going in for an MRI on my back and physical therapy this Friday. I guess they're thinking something in my back (sciatica, a disc, or lumbar, or something) might be causing it. I've never really had any back problems, so this is weird for me. I'm really getting tired of this pain, it's screwing up the quality of my life.

Ready To Quit
I love my job. It's almost exactly what I want to be doing with my life. The only problem is that the supervisors are making things so awful for all of us that I am just about ready to quit. And I'm not the only one feeling this way. It's a new program, I'll admit it. But our supervisor doesn't do her fucking job. She's supposed to have everything ready for us by the time we get in. Instead, we're constantly having to call to find out what's going on. I can't go into everything that is wrong with it; it would take me all day to do that. As I was sitting here, sick with bronchitis, I got to thinking. How many times have I googled somebody else's name? Yeah, so it's usually famous people or bands, but I guess I've just never thought to type my own name into that little google box on my browser.... So, I did... What I found was a somewhat famous musician on the easy listening circuit, a con artist, a surgeon, and a homeowner (evidently a fire started on his property and spread to surrounding areas, but they found it wasn't his fault). The Cycle
I friend of mine just gave birth this week. Another friend of mine killed himself this weekend. Last Wednesday, he was sitting in a meeting describing how doctors had just saved his life. He had had a heart attack and didn’t know it. The doctors did. They cut his clothes, cut his leg, inserted tubes and told him to shut up and lie still. Less than a week after doctors saved his life, he took it. He was a father, he was in his forties and he spent most of his adult life in prison. The man I met, after his release, was a frightened, scared and lonely child. I would imagine, he wasn’t much older, in terms of maturity, than when he went in; a man on the outside covered in tattoos, a child on the inside cloaked in hurt. This man was identical to me, in all ways except appearance. This week, a new life came into this world as one went out. The irony does not escape me, nor does the pain, the innocence or the significance of each. What I am witnessing is the cycle.

An Illusion Of Surburbia
My first view of Camp Korean Village was darkness. There are very little outside lights in this area of Western Iraq. There's very little anything around except sand. As is usual with the military I arrived at KV early morning a little past 3:00 AM after an 8 hour convoy in the back of a 7 ton armored truck to counteract the ever present IED threat. Upon arrival, the convoy commander simply dismissed the group leaving my group groping around in the dark looking for someone who knew where we could check in. We found them by accident and there in green splendor was Smallpox and a few others waiting for their relief. Never in a life of Sundays would I have ever pictured me seeing my best friend after months in Iraq. Interesting. Korean Village is so named because it was occupied by Koreans (duh) who had been contracted by Hussein to build a road. I saw the movie first and I liked it a lot, thats why I bought this book and... Im so glad I did!! Worth reading if you like mystery/thrill/drama/dark story. I actually feel like reading it again now. Much deeper and crueler than the movie, it made my heart beat faster in the end(the FBI part). I still liked the movie too, mostly beacuse of those great actors, although it was different about Hank's brother and more(wont write here for those who hasnt read), the movie version was "what if Hank did (or didnt) do this and that". So that was interesting too. My Ex Makes Me Sick!
My ex hasn't paid any child support for a good 11 months or better now. Although, he was in an accident just before Christmas. I truly believe he is just milking his injuries as just a few weeks after his surgery he told me he was moving a few trailers around the yard. Now my oldest tells me that he has been online since Tuesday playing World of Warcraft. He won't call the house mainly because my son was so PO'd at him when they moved down to TN but I think it's because he's afraid of what he's going to hear from me. It's pretty sad when he can't send in any money that it has to be garnished from his wages and fails to give new employment information every time to Friend of the Court (FOC) up here. It's always up to me to track down the information through my own investigating or if he's willing to give the info to me. Recently something has been getting on my nerves, the fact that people hear that I am in the National Guard and they say the National Guard don't do nothing. Well the fact is the National Guard does alot, more than people realize. So I am going to share what we guardsmen and guardswomen do. We responde to state emergencies, we deploy world wide to places such as Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. We are regular people who at a moments notice have to go from our familys to be activated. Also not to many people know that alot of the invadeing forces into Afghanistan and Iraq were National Guard. So when someone says they are in the National Guard just remember they do alot more than you think.
