Wicked's blog: "Gossiping Moms of Junior High"

I had something happen to me last night that made me realize that people of all ages are ignorant and heartless at times. I need honestly to learn to let it slide or take revenge. Right now Im debating on which i want to do.. here's how the story goes...

We have moved into Jeff's house so to make Johnathan feel comfortable I invite him to have sleep overs on the weekend.. This week he decided to pick Elio. Now a little about Leo's mother is a registered nurse and has been raising him on her own for years. Because of these reasons you would think we have a connection but we don't. I like Elio hes a good kid but hes sensitive and I  having gone threw this with Johnathan know what that's like. I also think sometimes Elio and his mom need a break so I try provide that for her. Don't get me wrong I dont assume this but she has thanked me and told me this as well.. Moving on

Johnathan is mildly sick so I warn her that he is and as she drops elios stuff off for the night she takes a look at him and declares hes fine. So as a good mother, doing my duty of warning the parent that there is potential for her kid to catch the cold I feel at ease. She says thank you for the break once again and goes on her merry way...

Saturday im running around trying to get a furnace fixed in my old house... that will be another blog about how some days when the Gas guy says its an easy fix just get this part never listen.. Im calling the house and asking Jeff about the soccer game we are suppose to be at. I tell Elio he has to come and he can stay another night...He agrees then Jeff informs me that John is so sick he shouldn't go to soccer. I figure if its that bad Elio's mom should come pick Elio up... She does and John spends the rest of the night in bed....

Sunday i went riding, Johns laying around being sick when i get home from riding I feed him soup and do what normal moms do .. then i feel his head..... sudden panic hes burning up.... WHERE IS THE THERMOMETER.... Dammit i have to run to the store in my pjs and slippers... (once again being mom you just do it) Came home Jeff being Jeff insist on trying out the thermometer.. ( i think he thought it was cool pfft men and toys) Stick it in John's mouth after he refused to do it rectally... (poor kid has a mom like me who finds it amusing to torture him) and up comes 103.5 .. get normal clothes on go to hospital...

So I figure as a good mom I would give a courtesy call to Elio's mom stating that John's not doing so well. This is the point in which i went wrong...

Ok so ill fast forward quickly threw this part:

JOhn and me were in hospital, it was a 6-10 hour wait I called my girlfriend who is an EMT she told me to leave if they hadn't checked him in the best they were going to do is give him an advil and send him home... I also figured by the time I saw a doctor I could have had a good nights sleep and seen my doctor in the same time... I choose to leave.. I went home he popped an advil his fever broke and has been gone since.. I still haven't been able to get threw to the doctors office cause apparently this H1N1 is making alot of people paranoid.... Needless to say my son is coughing at home and fine.....

End of fast forwarding...

Last night I receive a phone call from my favorite parent, she starts asking me about John and then informs me that everyone in the school is saying he has H1N1. Thanks to Elio and his mom!!My favorite mom and they are far and few between starts snorting like a pig at the end of the phone call and im laughing. As i hang up tho it makes me sad, I was informing her because I feel like every parent has the right to know if their child has been around someone sick and to have the option of not being near that child.. I dont see how a nurse knowing about the H1N1 can assume that my child has it and that she should inform her son of it.. So know today i got a call from the school asking me not to send John back till he was fully recovered..

I want to go sneeze on a few people
