First Leave
Well this recruit finally got his first weekend off from CFLRS St. Jean. The Last two weeks have been quite interesting this recruit finally realized where he trully belongs. Prior too the miliary this recruit thought that being an individual was what set someone apart from everyone else until this recruit realized that being part of the entity of the CF (Canadian Forces) was the pinicle of unselfish sacrific. Now here is alittle about BMQ on arrival this recruit was stationed in green sector t-600 for admin week (aka week zero) and was posted too platoon R0021E more affectionatly known as ROOZIE Platoon. Just Got A Call From Work
Ok...For those of you that really know me you know what I do for a living. I'm a 911 dispatcher. Well, I got off work this morning at 6am. I was working from 6am to 6 pm. Then over a year ago I wanted to go to nights. I work from 6pm to 6am. Yes I work 12 hour shifts. But, I only work 3 days one week and 4 days the next. YEAH!!!!! Anywyas, I was laying on my couch just dozing off today when my phones rings. It is my boss..I'm half asleep. She is like we are changing the shifts around. Do you want to go back to days? I tell her NO..I love being on nights. So, I'm losing my partner. We work very well together. I'm not happy about this. My current partner and I have worked together for over a year now. The city of Minneapolis can bite my ass!!! We got over a foot of snow this weekend, and when I left for school this morning my car was just sitting there (buried) but still there none the less, and when I returned an hour and a half later to attempt to dig it out, it was gone... The snow emergency rules are written in a really confusing manor. They have it broken down into 3 "days," however a day by there standards is a twelve hour time period. I thought I had it right, there were other cars parked where I was and everything seemed ok... and then NO! Of course not. It cost me $138 just to get it out of impound, plus an additional $34 parking ticket. They suck!

Well I hasve been here on the continent now for 3 months and I have 3 weeks left before the ship arrives to take me back to Australia. I have been skiing on snow and ice where no man has ever been before and I get paid to do it. All those people that pay hundreds or thousands of dollars to ski the alps or Aspen or St Moritz ned their heads read. I ski here with 5 people and no one to bother us. We can place our skis anywhere we like and not bother about anyone taking them. We have areas where we can see the most spectacular ice cliffs and ice bergs, see penguins and seals and whales. A Somewhat Long Night

It's My Monday Tonight
I generly try not to be superstitious, but..... Well let's just say I have reason to be a little nervous about April 1st. I was 7 or 8 years old, a fine, warm April 1st afternoon; shirt-sleave warm. Okay so, I’m swamped beyond belief, I’m completely ignoring all my friends and family, and I’m STILL not any closer to finishing all my work! So what am I thinking about? Going on for my doctorate, of course. What the hell is wrong with me??? lol I'm almost finished with my masters program (well, except for that damn thesis) and here I am planning to prolong the agony! I can’t really remember how I felt mentally when I finished law school, but I definitely feel like my brain is a bit fried right now. For some reason I just don’t remember feeling like this back then. Maybe I was just seeing all the dollar signs, who knows? hahaha I postponed the deadline for my thesis from this month to the end of summer just so I could cope with all my work, and it almost doesn’t make a bit of difference! What I Am Gonna Have Done
I went to an orthopedic surgeon today... and this is the first test they are gonna do on me... Electromyelogram (EMG) — An EMG is used to evaluate the activity of the spinal nerve roots. The test involves placing small needles into various muscles and measuring the electrical activity. The muscles’ response, which indicates the degree of nerve activity, is measured. I feel as though I have suddenly lost sight of what I have been working so hard to achieve. I've had three Jobs since the end of January. It feels like it has all been for nothing. Yeah I have material possessions, but they mean nothing. I'm stretching myself thin and I have no hopes or aspirations to show for it. Gary Allan - Tough All Over
For all of you true blue Gary Allan fans out there...this is it...the latest and greatest this is it! For those of you that don't know...this is the first album released since the death of his wife in late 2005. To the best of what I can gather...his wife committed suicide at their Hendersonville TN home in the early morning hours. This Album is the first since her death, with the first release of 'Best I Ever Had' A 'tribute' to his late wife. This album is a serious dive into the deep depressive, down and out, kind of emotions that Gary is feeling. The CD is a damn good CD, I would say his best yet, (I own all of his CDs to this point). Moving To Jeffersonville
I'm in Lexington and next saturday I'm moving to Jeffersonville Indiana. The rent will be alot cheaper than I'm paying now, the place is bigger. I love the new apt, but the kitchen is small. For as long as I can remember my drivers liscense has always had organ donor on it. People would tell me, "you know that don't work on you or get you to the hospital that fast if you have that." October Driving Trip North To Nj
My Dad came and spent the night last Tues and early Wed a.m. we drove to Charlotte on our trek to NJ for the funeral. We got to my brother's in NC and stayed the night; Thurs we drove to Richmond and stayed with dad's childhood friend. Wtf Is The Point?
okies, here's the deal. i met a guy on this site and we clicked instaneously. later that night he gave me his phone number and asked me to call him as he was becoming weary. we started talking every night and texting non-stop throughout the day. he, not i, HE began talking of moving from Florida to Hawai'i to be with me. now, granted, i was flattered and felt special i kept reassuring he'd be making the right decision as i am the only person he's been in contact with here. he then began sending me text messages implying (and sometimes even boldly declaring)wanting something more than a frirndship. a couple months into our "friendship" he text messages me and accuses me of lying about particular pictures i sent then went off b/c his gf saw them. this set me off b/c if i had KNOWN he had a gf i wouldn't have allowed the types of exchanges we made! my question to you guys is why do guys do things like that? wtf is the point? does it give you some sort of ego boost knowing a woman is falli

Happy Thanksgiving
It's that time of year again to stop and count our blessings. I hope each and every one of you can take a few moments to reflect on where you are and where you are going. Seems we sometimes get lost on "Lifes Highway" and can't figure out how to get back on track. I think about that as I'm about to hit the highway headed towards Wisconsin. The turkey will be carved, the meal will be shared, the laughter will flow. Dinner this year is at my daughterinlaw's parents, they really are great people. Footprints In The Sand
