Bouncing Back Isn't So Hard
Once you get pass the initial hurting. It's ok though. He found someone who makes him happy and I found someone who makes me happy. So we're both happy now. People come into our lives for a reason and stay for a little while or a long while, and they may leave just as quickly as they came. The idea is to cherish the time you had with them but not dwell on it--yes I'm guilty of that and hoping Roo and I would get back together. But not anymore. All went well at the hospital, here I was a nervous wreck over it lol They put the Picc in (long catheter/IV inside my arm into my chest) its running from my right arm into my chest, nurse is coming over and antibiotics are being delivered as well. Now...finally...I think im gonna get better, so...happy. I just wanna get back 100% hopefully one more surgery, the infectious disease doc, recommended taking the hardware out, fusing the bone back together, then once it heals, put my arm in a hard cast, then put another Picc in, to stream more strong antibiotics into my body, of course I will have to do physical therapy, but thats way down the road still, I know i'm staying positive about all this, and to hear the nurse Jenny today say to me, we will get u better and back to normal reassures me, they will do their hardest to make it happen. My Thoughts For This Long Weekend
well everyone on friday we lost our 121st CDN soldier in afghanistan. why do we make a big deal of it up here everytime we lose someone is because we can and its because we care. when a soldier comes to CFB Trenton they travel along the stretch of the 401 which has been renamed the Highway of Heroes to the coronors building in Toronto. and along that stretch ordinary people line the bridges and roadway to pay their respect to the dead. and it is illegal to pass the convoy due to a heavy police escort along the whole route. right now there is a new memorial being painted by the past president of the kinsmen club of preston. the paintings are of every single soldier that has been killed in afghanistan and he will be doing the painting until they all come home in 2011. then after that a permanent memorial will be built to house the painting. that will be the biggest tribute that anyone has done ever. so to all the troops over in afghanistan you are in our hearts every day and you are maki

The Ongoing Saga Of The Job I'd Been Offered
So I go to visit the place that wants to hire me away from the job I currently enjoy (though there are aspects I'd love to escape, given the chance, which kind of had me thinking this would be a good idea). I would be installing and repairing some fairly large equipment with a really powerful laser for cutting through steel and aluminum. I'd be gone for two to three weeks at a time, though normally home for weekends, and working a ton of overtime while I was away. I had no problem with this. Five people have been killed on G.T.A. roads in the last two days. The latest fatality happened Friday after a car and a van crashed head-on on Highway 27 at Nashville Road around 6:45am. The victim was just 19 years old. Police closed off parts of the highway around the crash scene as they investigated the tragic accident. Litter Box Cake 1 spice or German chocolate cake mix 1 white cake mix 2 large pkg vanilla instant pudding mix, prepared (I like Bird's® dessert mix) 1 large pkg vanilla sandwich cookies green food coloring 12 small Tootsie Rolls® 1 new kitty litter pan 1 new plastic kitty litter pan liner 1 new pooper scooper Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans). Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble. Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup. A True Friend
This is my definition of a True Friend: Someone that accepts and appreciates you for who and what you are. Someone who is there through thick and thin. Someone who, if they are able, is ready to jump up to help you no matter what time it is. Someone who will be there for you to cry on their shoulder no matter how wet it gets. So anyway we have to cordone off the area and wait for EOD to come out..............so..........aboot an hour later, maybe and hour and a half later, after almost having to shoot a bus that was barreling down the road, EOD finally shows up. Guess what they do........they get a damn metal detector out and walk right up to the detonation site. I thought it was humorous and worth writing about. As the day fades in to the night, I can feel the animal in me awaken. True I was young,when thinking of the ones before me. In our bloodline, no 18year old had ever gain the sight that I had. Doctor Visit 8-31-07
Well I had my doctors appointment today. We pull up to this "back and neck" doctor and hes a freakin neurosurgeon. lol One hell of a back doctor. Anyway got in, filled out paperwork and they then tell me I need my MRI copies from the hospital, so off we go to get copies. Finally get the copies after a 20 minute wait and head back to the doctors office. Get there and wait another 30 minutes and finally get called back. So the news is, I have 2 herniated/bulging discs in my back. He prescribed me some pain medicine to take three times a day that will likely knock me on my ass. Ummm... no thanks. So I left knowing a little more than I did but not being too happy. I wish they would treat the issue and not just mask it.

30 Lbs Gone
Last Tuesday I went in and I hit 30lbs gone! Yeah! I got to sign the 30lbd board and I got a new link for my bracelet - a yellow rose! This weekend has been bad for me regarding my diet. I went to a music festival with my family and I just couldn't resist my mom's baking. She isn't a good cook but she can bake! Now that I am home I need to get back on the wagon. I so wanna loose the weight but yet I wanna have fun. I feel its sad that I think I have to eat to have fun. I need to change this thinking. I bought a guitar this weekend for $50. I hope that I can turn it into a hobby. I bought a self teaching book but I think I am going to have to find a teacher here in town. I know of 2 places I can try so I think I will look into that tomorrow. Plus I need to get it tuned since it sounds aweful. LOL Also I think I would like to learn how to dance. Honey-glazed Turkey Breast With Roasted Pineapple
Prep Time:30 min Start to Finish:2 hr 30 min makes:16 servings 1 bone-in whole turkey breast (4 1/2 to 5 lb), thawed if frozen 1 pineapple (3 lb) 1/2 cup dry white wine or apple juice 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 teaspoon finely chopped gingerroot or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 large clove garlic, finely chopped 2 teaspoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons cold water 1. Heat oven to 325°F. Place turkey breast, skin side up, on rack in shallow roasting pan. Insert ovenproof meat thermometer so tip is in thickest part of breast and does not touch bone. So the shit hit the fan last week. This teacher I mentioned a couple of blogs ago (in this thread), is up to her tricks again, twice in one week. First she may have lost 5 thermometers and tries to blame us when she didn't do her job properly as laid out by our science classroom guidelines. Leveling Requirements

My aunt will be 90 this summer. She gave us a scare last week when we thought she had a bad cold and it was actually pnuemonia along with congestive heart failure. She has been in the hospital for the last week and has responded well to treatment. She should be home either Tuesday or Wednesday barring a relapse.
