I had to have my dog Ginger put to sleep last Friday. She was 14 years old and the first dog I've had that was my dog, not a family pet. Today was a good day. Went to the park with the "kids", sun shining not too cold. Most of you know my baby has been sick for the last two months. They're the closest thing I have to family. A Lot of you have understood this and expressed your concerns and condolences.They're not just a couple of animals to me. She's really turned around the last 4 days. People at the park were coming up to me and commenting on how much she has improved. How she's gaining weight and running around. I felt humbled at the impact she had on relative strangers. This Cold Is....
Killing me, well not really but still its making life less fun for this week. Today I woke up with a sore throat and it made me smile because I knew that I had done a great job yesterday at work! I made my way into the kitchen to make myself some fresh juice out of apples, oranges, carrots and beets. I bought my juicer about a month ago and I love it. I like to do this everyday if I am not too busy. Then I was off to work (which is literally up the stairs). I did a phone interview today for the Detroit newspaper that will be released very shortly. I also did an interview via email for the Good Vibrations online magazine which is a sex positive lesbian run sex toy retailer out of San Francisco and I thought it was a good interview. I like doing interviews but some are better than others. I feel that some questions can be a little repetative, so when I get questions that are intresting to me I am excited to answer them. Ok, I have been playing guitar for a year now. I am for the most part terrible in my eyes. Several people say that I am good though, I can't believe it. A few days ago I was at a friend's house and we were all playing guitar. One of the guys left because he had some stuff he needed to do. When he left everyone else convinced me to to play bass. After a few minutes of getting acquainted with the bass, we started working on the song they wanted to record. I did really well, especially keeping time. *If you knew me you would realize I have no rhthym whatsoevery*. They sent it to Bassist and he hasn't spoke to me since then. This one's from last night... well this morning. And it's long, just to warn you. I was walking home from somewhere and suddenly I just couldn't. I somefind that the only way I can move is to push the air in front of me which makes me go backwards. That's just part 1. Part 2. I wake up sprawled out in the middle of the street, no idea why. Get up and can still only do the backwards thing. Come across two guys and for some reason kick them both and run off (sort of) Part 3. I go to hide at a friends house (who happens to be my old best friend who I haven't seen for years) and the two I kicked drive up and park outside. They were going to meet him so we had to leave, and the saw me and didn't care. It was raining and all the sudden I could walk properly again, so I went and waited for a bus to go home. The End

Prayers For My Brother
I'm coming to you all tonight with a very sad heart. My brother,,,Tony, AKA Hydrovamp to his fubar friends was in a terrible accident on his job today.His right thumb was completely severed from his hand and almost all of his right index finger. He went through about 4 hours of crucial surgery. The doctors were very skeptical they would be able to save his thumb, but luckily both fingers were re attached,,at least to some degree. He still has to forego many surgeries in the very nearfuture before all is done. Please, I am begging you,,please keep him in your prayers. He has a wife and 2 very young daughters and I'm sure you all know this could take a toll on his family. I appreciate all of your prayers and hope you will pass the word along to others for their prayers also.

Turkey & The Tree

9/11/2001 Video Tribute. And Some Thoughts...
Eight years ago today the world as we knew it changed as did our country. I remember being in New Jersey, at work at the time of the attacks. People were stunned. They were playing the news over the intercom system at my job. Housewives are in great distress not knowing if their loved ones were involved, and had no way of communicating. Schools were closed down, offices and government buildings were evacuated. Later on in the evening, people were having rallies at street corners supporting the country and the thousands of people racing to the city to help any way they can. Later on that night, as the truth unfolded, it was very unsettling to see hospitals lined up outside with people waiting to help anyone that they could, only to realize that there was no one alive to rescue. Going to the shoreline we could see the smoke still rising into the night as the towers burned. Lhasa De Sala
I was lucky enough to see Lhasa perform as part of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival a couple of years ago. It was a rare English appearance for an artist not widely known here, and the show blew me away. Emotionally, I left the gig feeling I'd wasted my life not listening to her music, it made so much of my collection at the time seem... empty, worthless. A heady mix of Latin-American, Mexican, Klezmer, Eastern European folk, Middle Eastern music amongst others, she simply defied characterisation. The audience were spellbound, and when I tried to get my hands on some of her music the next day, there wasn't a record shop in Norwich that hadn't been bombarded with enquiries. It was nothing short of a defining moment for me, musically, and one destined not to be repeated. It's a mark of how little she's known in this country that it's taken me a month to stumble onto the fact that Lhasa De Sala died on New Year's Day this year after a 21 month battle with breast cancer. She was 37.

Emerils Jambalaya
So tonight I wanted Jambalaya after the room mate, Amanda, Suggested it.. I am the chef of the house cuz women cant cook..at least in this house.. So instead of buying the premade packet of stuffs by Tony Sacherie, I decided to do the thing big...from scratch...all fresh ingredients. So I've mentioned that my mom was a crack whore.... One day I was out with my mom and step dad. I had no idea what was going on but I knew we were meeting some of their friends. We were driving into the spanish part of Boston. It was a major road, and there they were. 2 guys and a shifty white van. I was only 12 at the time and did not know any better. My Warped Day 2010
After only making an outline for last years WT I've decided to type up a quick blog mostly for my personal records because I do not think anybody reads these things anymore. Ended up leaving here early and getting there at about 11:30am which was the earliest I think we've ever made it there. Instead of having the bands and everyone on the concrete as in years past it was on grass which was better for the heat, but not better for my shoes, stepped in gum somewhere along the way, but that could have happened on concrete too. There was a nice hill to sit on and could see and hear the main stage while taking a break from walking around in the large crowd of people. I Hope Today Is The Day
I went to a dr appt this morning and talked to him about what has been happening since taking the misoprostol. He said he wanted me to have some blood drawn to check my hemoglobin to make sure I am not anemic due to bleeding and he wants to check to see if my hormones have finally dropped below 5. He says if they have dropped below 5 then we will let nature take its course and keep dropping it. If its still above 5 then we are gonna repeat the ultrasound and see whats going on. Almost Arrested
So I’m having a major bad day. Yesterday my daughter got assaulted by a girl after school with a metal pipe, and my daughter beat the crap out of her. So anyways I had to go to the school this morning, when I got there the police were there. YAY how fucking fun. Well apparently the girl told her mother that my daughter was the one who hit her with the metal bar, luckily there were witnesses to back up my daughter’s story, the cops were ready to arrest my daughter. I was told when I got home that the girl was outside my building and wrote profanity about my daughter on the door of my building, fucking kids geeze. I am sooo exhausted. This was one trip I would hope to never relive. I landed and got to what was to be the room I was to stay at, hell no. A crack whore might stay there, but any undrugged person would know better. My dad is who picked me up at the airport, we put my things back in his truck, I checked right back out, and off to Fort Worth we went from San Antonio. I had no sleep, no shower, but was on my way to the race. LOL The race was so awesome, but I was soo tired. I will be loading pics from it here soon. I have discovered so many changes since I stopped actively following Nascar. LOL I now must not only follow Tony Stewert (but he remains tops with me) but also Dale Jr and Mark Martin. It was such a blast!!!! Heading back from the race, about half way back to San Antonio, had to stop and get a room. My dad and I were so tired it was insane. So friends of mine have offered to put up a dating profile for me on an internet dating site. Yes, I'm A Grouch
I think grouch is being good about it. I've had a bad, hmm year or so. But it's the last few weeks that have pushed me over the line. I have a sick "kid" my baby girl. I'm unemployed, broke an pissed. My unemployment benefits were revoked on Monday with no explanation as to why. My identity was stolen, I can't figure out why anyone would want it. But now I'm sitting with bills up the ass and a dog that can't tell me what hurts. And a strong desire to not wake up every frick'n morning. So YES, I am a grouch! Loss Of A Dear Friend
A dear friend of mine has passed away recently. It happened on May 1st and I didn't find out about it until May 14th. I feel terrible because it's my fault that I didn't know until 2 weeks after it happened and had not seen my friend for about a month. Losing Someone You Love More Than Once
It's difficult to lose someone you love. There really are no words to describe how it feels. I know many of you have lost someone you loved and I'm sorry that anyone should ever have to go through the pain, but I guess it's just a part of this journey we're on that we call life. I lost my father more than once, (In different ways than actual death, I lost him twice) The first time I lost him, I was just six years old. He was everything to me, and we were inseperable. One day as he was driving home from work, he got behind a semi truck without flaps, and a 4 1/2 lb rock spun through the tires, and flew through his windshield, and smashed his head. We found him over 8 hours later. Apparantly he had been lying in a wheat field for the 8 hours, but then sat up and drove himself (with a shattered windshiel) back to where he worked. Money For Nothing...
Some of you already know this, but for those who don't: I partly support myself financially from rental income. Yeah, I'm a landlord. This is NOT a job, it's money for nothing (well, if you discount the mortgages I'm still paying off on some of my properties it is). It is, however, a pain in the arse sometimes. For example, I employ a handyman to look after my properties. If he can't fix something he has the authority to call an expert from a list of plumbers, electricians, joiners, etc, that I provide him with. My tenants are told that if anything goes wrong with the fabric of their place, or the fixtures and fittings, etc, that they should call him. They're also told that they should only contact me with regards to their ability to pay rent. Yet, I still get calls about fucked up plumbing, electrics, etc, when all I can really do about it is to call my handyman dude and get him to call the tenant. But, let's be realistic.
