There was this little girl sitting by herself in the park. Everyone passed by her and never stopped to see why she looked so sad. Dressed in a worn pink dress, barefoot and dirty, the girl just sat and watched the people go by. She never tried to speak. She never said a word. Many people passed by her, but no one would stop. There's a first time for everything, and sometimes, all that matters is just doing that task that you were trying to finish. I've had many days where the motivation was not there, but the "need" to finish a gaol was. Now, It's the opposite. I've got these goals, but the motivation and the sheer volume of some of the work that lies ahead just makes it tough to stick it out. So Far This Year!
Well it has been one hell of a new year so far. I like my new job that I started about the last of December after being fired from my last one that I was with for two long years. The Last Few Weeks
The last to weeks, needless to say, have been the worst of my life. For those of you who have not heard, my dad died on March 22nd of complications from diabetes. I found out mid-flight from Phoenix to Philadelphia. There is almost a feeling of guilt. I keep saying to myself "I should have been there", but there was nothing I could do. On the list of worst days of my life, on a scale of one to 10, this was easily a 20. It’s a sad fact to think of now that Dad passing is what brought the family back together, Aunts and Uncles which i haven’t seen in 10 to 15 years I was able to see again, and my sister, who I have not seen since 1999, I was able to see again. This was the first time that my brother, me, and my sister have been in the same house at the same time since 1995. Thanksgiving
To my family, friends and fans on CherryTap, Happy Thanksgiving late. I'm sorry I didn't get around with holiday wishes for you all, but I was offline, spending time with my real life family. Turned out to be one of the nicest Thanksgivings I've ever had in my life. Along with myself, my fiancee and her two kids, both my kids were there, my daughter with her boyfriend and my son in between legs of a tour. Also present were Catherine and Jason and my Grandson Kaydin. Every got along great and the food was scrumptious. Everyone pitched in to help with cleanup, so it actually ended without the usual huge mess in the kitchen. After dinner we had homemade pumpkin pie and toasted with Mikes Hard Lemonade before a 4 hour Guitar Hero tournament, during which our good friends Anne, Michelle and Ashly made appearances. All in all just a great day. Thanks to everyone there for all your efforts to make it a fantasic holiday! I'll remember this one for a long time!

i was offered the job but when we talked money it seemed that the original terms were wrong and i was offered a lot less than originally stated and i do mean a lot less so i turned it down . he was taking the piss. got another interview this evening and another on Friday so fingers crossed once more. been one of those days today. cant seem to shake this depression that's hit me. guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself. just got back from a job interview and it went well, I have a 4 day trial in which to show them what I can do so fingers crossed it will go ok. and I'll be back working full time once more.

I'll be flying home, for good this time, on May 3rd. It's been an interesting 3 years in Germany, but I'll be glad to be back. My Youngest Brother
Today i was down at my dads place for dinner. As i was leaving my dad asked me if i would go and check on my grandparents place that is up for sale in Toronto. Why couldn't I take some of my old, short short fictions and turn them into a series about a single main character, Xavier St. Pierre. When I went for my walk, I furthered it by thinking I could write 16 stories about said Mr. St Pierre, 12 of which would be "inspired" by the "12 Days Of Christmas."
