Well just in case anyone wants to know, the reason I have been feeling bad is I had to go to the ER last night. Deployment 2007
Well here we go again.....My son received his pre-orders for deployment this last weekend. According to the pre-order the guys have been instructed to get all of their affairs in order, so that they can ship out sometime in June or July. I have already been through this once. Wasn't that enough for any mother's heart to endure? I just can't help but think that every time my son deploys, the odds are not in his favor statistic wise. As hard as it is for me to have my son deploy again, I think of all of the other mother's that were not as fortunate to have their children returned to them alive. Many times I have found myself thinking, "But for the grace of God, there go I." I live in a small rural area and we have had a large amount of casualties per capita in this area. So far all of the casualties have been from soldiers that were in Iraq and not Afghanistan. Unfortunately, when you live in an area this small, you always know the person or their family. OK here is the story of my weekend in Charlotte, NC Since I play competitive gaming I was asked by a team to join them since their 4th member couldn't make it. I asked my friends if they wanted to go down for fun and learn some stuff from the pros. they said yeah and so i figured it be fun for everyone. boy was i wrong. Weds night i goto my friend jons house and a bunch of people LANing halo2 and well i asked if they were ready... low and behold they said they weren't going. so i got ditched for bullshit reasons. THURS: 9am - I wake up get packing, went to the bank took out $300 and at breakfast 11am - I start driving down. doing an average of 80mph. I ended up stoping about 3 times for gas in the mustang. their goes about 80 for the drive down. 8pm - I made it to the border of NC and Charlotte on mapquest says about 110 miles away... I avereage about 115 the whole way racing some kid and made it within the hour which was really good timing i though. 10pm - i'm settled i
