Piss Testing
This was emailed to me and I don't really think its a bad idea. Working in the oilfield I'm subject to a piss test damn near every month. What do you think? I have a job. I work, they pay me. I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as they see fit. In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test, which I have no problem with. What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test. Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check, because I have to pass one to earn it for them? Please understand that I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet. I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sit on their ass. Could you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check.

Well I was in houston the week after Ike hit, helping to undo the destruction. I have been back for a couple weeks and just am now able to find words to describe everything I saw and experienced. Army Stuff
Keep in mind, I may be a bit jaded from being at ft. bragg for 4 years. Even when I was in the reserves here though, where it is supposedly " more laid back " There was still all, or more of the bullshit. I actually enjoyed my job, and lots of the things about the army. I would deffinantly go back in and stay, if it weren't for all the bullshit, vanity, stupidity, and heartlessness that is there. I don't have a problem with p.t. long hrs, being deployed, lots of training, or all the hard work. There are all sorts of different jobs in the civilian workforce. Each has it's troubles, and annoyances. I'm not trying to trivialize that. I'm deffiantly not trying to be condascending. I'm not bitching about my job either. I don't even have a job, I get paid to go to school now because I was able to deal with all the bullshit for so long without shooting anyone. Accident Back Home
So far, I know my parents are okay. As for my 4/5 brothers and my sister, I haven't heard anything about where they are. I at least was able to call my parent's home tonight. They're both still living and breathing. As for my friends and other family members, I'm not sure. The death-toll is rising and not much else is being said so far. I just got wind of a terrible accident back in Minneapolis, MN where I'm from. It is being broadcasted live basically on any news channel. A bridge over the Mississippi River collapsed and it was somewhere along I-35 near the University of Minnesota. I tried calling my parents but no answer. So I may not be on for a couple of days or at least til I find out about if any of my family or friends were on that bridge.

Ok I might be rambling at the mouth or something. As of today, Aug 1st, 2007 at 6:30pm, We had to put my black lab down to sleep. I had taken her into the vet cause she wasnt looking well.. I took her in and she got some blood work and turned out she had acute kidney failure.. Her kidneys stop workin and her red blood cell count was very low... It was the toughest decision but the right decision seeing how the vet said that chance of her living was slim.. So as of right, both me and my husband are doing okie.. Yesterday, I got really sick at work. Had trouble breathing and when I did, it hurt like hell. My boss let me off work early and since it was so hard to drive home, I went to the ER. The doctor on duty said that I had broncitis and gave me scrips for anti-biotics and cough syrup. I thought that I wouldn't be able to get them filled until today but thankfully Walgreen's pharmacy is open 24/7! I'm probably going to end up quitting the cigs here soon cuz of how quick this came on.

so mom and i went to walmart tonight not expecting to be there allll night long..... well we were.... we joined the long line after finishing getting what we needed and they decide that the registers went down and after standing there for another 15 minutes while they walkie each other they finally decide to send us to good 'ol electronics.... so they cram everyone in there and if you werent standing up there in line then you didnt know what was going on. so we stand there for another half hour and the lady on the other register drops the guy's milk ALL OVER and then our lady drops moms ID and credit card in it .... all the while trying to get them to come over and clean it up and the lady walks by and goes "I'll get to it later" YAY WALMART..... so then we are walking past this other manager on the way out ... cuz we had to walk ALL THE WAY BACK THROUGH .... cuz they are going remodeling in the MIDDLE of the store. and we ask the lady why the FOUR of them have to set up one display of

Tues July 31st marked the 9th week since I started the paper work for my wage replacement disability insurance. First check is finally in the mail today. I never said I was a patient person. The older I get the less patient I become. But I think I did rather well waiting for them to get their ass's in gear. I only drove my friends mildly crazy,(ok maybe a bit more that mild). I did call the main number to ask the status of my claim every other day. And knowing that they would never give me the real address to their office I did not hoard gas in my car so I could drive east to "talk" in person. I did how ever learn who my friends are. And I was very surprised at the level of help. I will never be able to give back all they gave me. And I'm not just talking money, which did help a lot! They hauled my sorry butt to the store, vacuumed my living and dining room. Dragged me out to dinner or lunch or both to make sure I ate healthy more than once a week. And unhealthy at least once
