Kara Dioguardi,one of the judges, made a comment about him caring for his "Sick" Mother. Spina Bifida is not an illness. The proper term is physically impared or disabled.This just means that we are not able to do some physical activities,such as walking. We all have things that we find difficult whether we are disabled or not. Should we all be labled as being sick? I don't think so. American Summer Tour 2011
Next summer June 15th I am leaving my home town to drive to 49 of the 50 United States. I want to go to each state and interview at least one family or individual who will allow me into their lives for a hour, or even a day. During these visits, I want to be interviewed as well. The people I visit will be asked to interview me and come up with three questions for the next person I visit. The point of this trip? I am a Southern Californian born and raised. I wouldn't rather have grown up anywhere else. But I refuse to be ignorant. I want to meet people across the country and learn from them things I can't learn from anyone here. The internet is a great way to culturize (yes I made that up) yourself but I am so sick of meeting people and gaining friends on a computer screen. I've been observing American Culture during my travels in the states and I think it's time to point out some of the more annoying/stupid/fucking dumb things typical Americans engage in: 1. I just finished this novel a little while ago. I wish it had been longer. I think that's the best compliment I can give to a novel. I wanted more, because the characters and the world they inhabit became something special to me. I've liked Neil Gaiman's work for a while now, having read his Sandman comics as well as other work he's done in the comic medium. This was the first full novel of his that I've read (not counting Good Omens with Terry Pratchett) and he is even more amazing than I already thought he was. You know the other day I was browsing around Fubar, and I found a curious little Norwegian girl who seemed to have a fascination with the problem of self-entitlement in the United-States. Being an American who also happens to be a political science major, this really bothered me. I think this topic merits closer examination. Yes, finally my flight from Toronto was good to go, and to make things perfect- I got upgraded to full lie down bed by British Airways and the service in that part of the plane is just wonderful. When we landed in London I met Alan Shearer and Alan Hanson who are ex-footballers and now TV sport pundits, they were coming to Scotland to play golf. My father, who is not a very nice man, is in Houston for tests. While there they find an embolism the size of five fingers side by side in his stomach. Ok, so Im a single mom, never been married. My daughter's father gave up all rights to her at birth. I have been very blessed to have had my family to help me out with her. So I was having a conversation with my friend's wife who is a psychology major. She said that I may be bipolar. Now at first I was like hmm... na, I don't feel crazy. Then when I read up on it a little more I began to consider it as a real possibility, though not as advanced as the word could get. See, I have always had a form of split personality. Not to long ago me, michelle, and allie were driving back to michelles house and when we on washington street. when we were driving, a truck ran right threw a stop sign without stopping.
