What A Lovely Land

283.1 Lbs
Well I am happy to say I have re-lost the weight I gained back after quitting the "diet center". Back down to as light as I have ever been in my adult life. This time I did it the old fashioned way - diet/exercise. This means since Thanksgiving I've gone from 303 to 283 - 20lbs. Yeah!!!! Most of that was probably water weight but hey - lbs gone are lbs gone!!! Yeah!! Hope I can keep changing my eating habits and keep loosing weight.

Stand Off
End of the Stand Off 11:30pm As the tear gas was getting ready to be deployed, a phone call was made. A man, name still unknown, was barricaded inside his home. Spiritual Basketball Poem
This is to indicate some more information about how my mind works. The poem below was written by the following process. First I constructed a list of seven defensive tactics in basketball. This was done several weeks ago at the Neighborhood Youth Night of my church. (I've constructed 3 other lists related to basketball, but that's another story.). Then in the last 2 weeks I constructed a list of seven spiritual analogies of these things. On 8/3/96 or thereabouts I wrote the original poem with 7 verses, one for each of the 7 points, with the I st line indicating the item from my material existence list and 5 lines indicating the explanation of the spiritual analogy. Then I noticed that an item in my journal just before that, which was on 2 Cor 8:7, would be a good summary for each verse. Animal Shelter
Just found out my town, because of budget crisis, has temporally shut down the animal shelter. That is not right. Both of our cats came form there and are great. They rescue mostly cats, but also dogs roaming the streets. The town only really paid for her salery. Building, on town property, was built by donations and volunters, volunters run it, food, blankets, toys, litter and everything else was donated by business and citizens. Such a dissapointment in my town over this.

Let me explain what's going on with my laptop, for those that don't know. It seems to have a mind of it's own. The DVD drive will open by itself, it won't read my memory card from my camera, and it will just shut down on its own. Now keep in mind that I've only had my laptop for about 7 months, if that. The DVD drive thing started the first day I got it. I didn't think much of it at first, I thought maybe the way I was sitting, I was hitting the button for it and not knowing it. After a week of it opening on its own, I called Dell and they said that they wanted ME to take the DVD drive out myself. Funny story - Last night me and my girlfriend went to see Motley Crue 'cause free tickets rock. Anyway, the gf has been on her period and didn't feel like bringing her purse in, so she shoved things in my pockets. When we got to the front door, there were cops using metal detectors on everyone. It went off for me, and I emptied my pockets. There it was, a giant fucking pad. The cop walked over and picked it up, looking at it with a confused expression on his face. My Virgin Trip To Chicago
I was recently nominated for a position on the Agent's Council for RLI Insurance Co. It's a very prestigious honor to be nominated, especially since there are only 6 members of the panel. Two IIABA Administrators, two retail MGA agents, one retail distributor and one call center representative. The executive director of the orgainization I work for as well as the director for my department were notified and they approved of my participation, and now I get an all expense paid trip to Chicago at the end of March!!! I'm really excited!!! I've never been to Chicago and I am finally getting acknowledgement for the job I have done since I took over the insurance program almost two years ago. Diarrhea
Damn I hate having the runs. I've had them for 3 days now, and am feeling like I've been molested by a polarbear. Now, the worst thing about diarrhea is that you get these mixed signals from your butt, things that would normally work just fine stops working altogether. There are these two deliveryguys that pass through your butt, one is called the poop-delivery guy, the other is call the fart-delivery guy, now normally you would recognize what fart-delivery guy feels like, and when you are getting a delivery, you go off on your own and pass it through - or sometimes you can just refuse to accept delivery. The poop-delivery guy is usually a very patient sort of fellow, he waits until you are ready to accept the delivery, "Hey man, no fuss - whenever you are ready mate". Getting Diarrhea means you can no longer distinguish between the two, so you THINK you are getting some farts delivered and when you are just about to let them through - what happens? Yup - it was poop-delive

Octomom is just a mess and ought to have her head examined. Who in their right mind has 6 kids already that they can't afford and thinks it's a good idea to add to the group. If you want to be around a bunch of kids, and aren't independantly wealthy, then work at a daycare. Just to let everyone know I won't be on here very much in the next month or so. I have soo much that I have to get done before I can move. I am finally headed back home. My great nephew was suppose to get his 2nd heart surgey on Feb.4th the postponed it to March 11th He had his checkup which went well the doctors had to test him with some kind of blood thinner to make sure he wasnt allergic to it.Please keep praying for him the prayers are helping.He'll be 1 yr on March 25th

A Miracle
Just got home from the hospital. My oldest son and his friend had a wreck earlier tonight. My son was thrown out of the back seat and landed over 20 feet or so from the vehicle. The driver was stuck in his seat belt unconscious and my son crawled through the window to unhook him and he and the other boy pulled him through the window. Apparently it took them all a while to realize what had happen because when Thorne said he woke up in the field he realized he had dried blood already. His hand is like hamburger meat and looks awful, has a strained wrist (what he broke the window out with when he went through it)..... he got the worst of it. But all the boys were able to come home this morning and after hearing about what the car looked like I am amazed that they all lived. The highway patrol told me the same thing. I have a great deal of respect for time in general. Time is precious as we have such a short period here on this earth, in this life, to experience what it is that we are going to experience, to interact with the people we are going to connect with and interact with. I do not wish to waste one single moment of this short time I have been given. I want to experience as much as I can. Come On People
I have been employed as a gas station clerk for over over 2 years now and during this time I have come to realize just how rude, inconsiderate and just plain out right ignorant people have come to be. Almost every day I have someone come in and display just how childish adults can be. Working with the public on an almost daily basis tests my patients, it is at times all I can do to swallow my sarcastic words and put on a fake smile. The simple words of please and thank you seem to be lost in a sea of demands, yes I know it is my job to serve you but do you have to bark orders at me like I'm your maid? And someone please tell me why it is customers come in and shout, yell and complain to us about things beyond our control. Well it’s 2009 and new year and like most everyone else I hope for this to be a better one than 2008 and all the others that have come to pass. Most people set New Year’s resolutions and usually they are the same ones year after year because these goals never get met. Well I am no exception to that, I always say I’m going to lose weight and I have yet to do so, well this year here’s to positive change, I have tweaked my resolution from losing weight to just making a better me in general. I have recently said I was putting the flamenco up within a day or so---true, the flamenco, for the most part is complete, however, I will hold off until I have completed the new etude...I have said around June, however, every musician will agree that you cant put a date on material being worked on. I should keep my mouth shut and not talk politics but that is part of who I am. I am an Obama fan for sure. Today he announced he would pull troops out of Iraq within the next 19 months and set an end date for that conflict. Republicans really have no need to object because it also conforms to a agreement Bush had already signed with the Iragi government. But some troops will remain there as non-combatants. My objection is that the news media (namely CNN) is not reporting to us why troops will remain behind, or why they cannot all come home or be re-stationed elsewhere. If the troops left behind are not going to fight anyone why have military guys there at all? Are we to think they cannot use their guns during there duties there? I do not think they will do anything "top secret" and so I want to know why we cannot make a clean break and allow for a total withdraw for all the troops. Deer Encounter
As some of you know I am a professional portrait photographer, seemingly I cannot get enough of this photography gig so I often spend my weekends hiking and photographing wildlife and landscapes but mostly wildlife. Today I decided to venture out to a state park outside of Austin to do precisely this. I didn't catch much too exciting stuff (mostly turtles and birds). I did have a most interesting encounter with a deer though. It was very hot today and there has not been much rain in the area, this generally brings the more reclusive creatures to the streams to drink. I had been hiking for hours and guzzling water due to the ridiculous temperature. I was back in the woods along a tributary to the main creek. Chaotic Mess I Am

Update On My Granny
For those of you who know me well already, and know what I have had going on in my personal life, there is now a bit of improvement! Things went very well with the procedure for my Granny. Within hours of them completing the procedure, just due to the increased circulation, her cheeks were rosy & pink, her skin was more warm, and she was looking better. She's lost that gray-tone from a lack of oxygen, now. Currently, she is now home & on bed rest for several days, so my personal stress meter is settling down some!! There is other BIG NEWS going on in my life at this time, you'll have to keep an eye out for another post to let you know what is going on!!!

This would be top of my list for one obvious reason. It's the day I was brought into this world. It usually is a joyous occasion. But my birthday isn't too much. You see, through a strange and cruel twist of fate, I happen to share this day with my sister. Would be cool if we were twins, but we aren't. She was born 6, yes 6, years before me. How odd is that. A New Start
I am an OTR ( truck Driver) and while I have been out here on the road these past 6 weeks, I have been doing a lot of thinking about life and how I have let a lot of things get to me that I shouldn’t have. Ever wonder what it would be like to have all the answers? To be able to say I know, never say I think, never assume, Never be in doubt. I’ve wished for that feeling, I’ve sought answers. But with every answer comes another question, greater than the last. I’m starting to realize, just now in fact, the answers aren’t really what I am hoping to find. i bought a dvd copy program called ICopyDVDs2 from wallyworld and now i try to copy some of my movies. it tells me i have to dl a DVD43 program fom the net so it can get around the copyright protection that all the dvd have...grrrr wtf, since software isnt returnable ill have to bite the bullet and do a dl of this program. i found the website dvd43 but i want to know if anyone else has done this dl before i do it. or any other recommendations for copying dvd's as you were
