The oaks stand strong against the winds and the beeches hold through the cold, but the maples falter. Amongst them, gold and crimson are carried away, in flocks, like black birds grouping before the migration. The air is stained red from their gathering. Last night I went to see Hank III, and I was totally stoked to do so. I love his country stuff, because he sounds like his grandpa. The show started with a band called Eick Joad and the Power of Country. The like truck driving songs, but weren't half bad. Not good enough to make me want to buy their stuff, but not o bad that I wanted to stick a straw in my ear. Then there was about a 15 minute wait, so we got to listen to a bunch of drunken ass pirates chant his name, and genuinely make ass of themselves. But there were enough of them, that they had a big enough crowd as to not feel bad about doing it. Before I forget, this was at the Pearl Room in Mokena IL. Hannibal Rising Review
I saw the movie today with my husband, mom, and brother, and it was KICKASS!!!! It deviated slightly from the book, [which I read as soon as I heard about the movie], like at the beginning, Hannibal when he is at the orphanage, never escaped the basement, but the guy he stabbed with the fork took him into his shed and was going to beat him, and he almost did until Hannibal's Uncle came and got him. In the movie, Hannibal walked to his uncle's castle and his uncle's wife said he passed away a year before, but in the book, he was picked up by his uncle and he died a year after Hannibal moved in. But for the most part it stuck to the book, and the movie was exactly how I pictured it in my head reading the book, which was cool. They left one crucial part out near the end, one of the ways Hannibal found a war criminal was they stole paintings from his family's castle and sold them on the black market, and he tracked Grentz down by that method. But I give this film 2 thumbs up,

Just a lil something I wrote about in my blog on myspace.. about my not so healthy obsession with Dr. Lecter. Hope you don't think I'm crazy after reading it LOL... :) Dayna I have been obsessed with Hannibal Lecter since I was 11 years old, when Silence of the Lambs was released (1991). I know that's probably one of the strangest things you've ever heard, yet still it's the truth. My mother was totally against me watching the movie at such a young age but I demanded she let me, that I could handle it. Instead of feeling frightened by Lecter (more by Buffalo Bill than anyone else and Dr. Chilton's horrendous taste in wardrobe and cheap pick ups) I found myself drawn to Lecter. Even at 11 years old, understanding that this fictitious character must have had something horrible happen to him to turn him into the "monster" he became. I found something intriquing in his speech, in his courtesy to those who were courteous to him. Although at 11, I couldn't quite pinpoint what it was I liked

I went and seen the Hannah Montana movie tonight. (ok, go ahead and laugh a bit, I will wait) You better now? Are you checking to make sure you read that right? Yes, I did go see Hannah Montana. I have two little girls, cut me a break. They loved it. But that was to be expected I guess. Jalen was dancing along a bit. And as sad as it sound I found myself singing along a bit. Very sad I know. I hope you are having a splendid day! I have already been to work and done my three mile walk and boy was it hot out there. We are still having 100 degree days. You know how sometimes in life a very happy and touching memory comes back to you? I just had one. Anyone that knows me knows my mother and I almost never got along but I remeber as a child when we were poor she learned how to make play-doh for me. And she made batch after batch for the longest time. Happy Friday The 13th...
Today at work was a total bitch at first. My manager decided to move me to another place and I was cool with that at first. When I got there, the wasn't any PMO Manager in the working area. We had just finished a work order and people kept asking me what to do next. I kept telling them that I didn't know yet. I'm still in PMO training so I was pretty clueless on what to do. I just knew that I had to get some paperwork done and the computer was being a bitch. I had to get ready for our next work number as well. Luckily, Jerry, a PMO Manager came in. I wasn't ready to work on my own yet and won't be for a while. Other than that bullshit in the morning, work went pretty smooth. I did some machine work and testings....fun fun... yay... How odd is it that I found happiness with one woman who lives not far away from me? She's beautiful, smart, funny, and a wonderful mother. And yet, there is a friend of mine, the two of us have mentioned in the past that we like each other. We almost dated, but then out of the blue she decided she just wanted to be friends. Hello everyone, well whomever reads this. LOL My weekend was very nice, but hectic. I started it, with a trip to the zoo. My hubby, and I went with our youngest, Collin's class. We were an hour behind schedule after we were separated from the bus. Bummer. But we made it there and I chaperoned 5 little wild boys. Fun! Then, Saturday was cleaning day. I lead such an interesting life. Sunday, we spent the day in Boone. We went to all the shops and I took some beautiful shots. I will share those later. Monday, was hard to start. I am very happy. My uncle hasn't been able to ingest any food or liquid in over two weeks. He has been fed through I.V.s Well, today he had some broth and jello and was able to hold it down. Last night I went to meet David in Greensboro to pick him up and bring him home. I was so happy to see him. But not long after us getting home my tummy meds kicked in. Good morning everyone. I am playing hookie today. Well, in a way not. I have a urinary tract infection, so I do not even want to go to class. Hope that wasn't too much info. LOL! Well, I thought I would share with you the latest happenings in the last few days. We spent the weekend in Spruce Pine, and stayed in Little Switzerland's Resort and Chalet over night. The drive up was beautiful. I took a ton of pix, off the Blue Ridge Parkway. I got out several times, just like the other photographers, and took some beautiful pix. I promise to post some later. We went to a gem mine the first day, and it was fun. My hands almost froze off. We got the boys each a bucket of mixed gems. They both had some both had some nice size emeralds, garnet and amethyst that could have been cut, and polished. But the price to do this was a bit steep. Well, last night we had a big halloween party! I love Halloween!! We all met up at this really trendy pub and freaked everyone out with our costumes. ..Hope everyone either had, or is having a SPOOKTACULAR time.. i wanted to leave individual comments but its been one hellova busy day for me,.. into town this morning rushing about with last minute buys.. home for quick coffee, picked karen up from school, then in 3 and a half hours i cooked a nice big pumkin pie, 3 dozen witches finger cookies, 2 dozen spooky cupcakes, 2 dozen pizza snakes, and 16 hotdogs...decorated the house, got candy ready for trick-or-treaters and got my outfit on.. had loads of kids come round, till about 9.00pm..then finally satdown to unwind with a cup of chocolate AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH so...hope u enjoyin yours!!

Happy Halloween Comments for Myspace Well on Sat. we went to Whiskey Fest and OMG I thought I had died and gone to heaven!! I remebered while I was there that I have expensive taste, LMAO (the best whiskey I had was $340/bottle). It was wicked cool. They handed out free glass shots to taste all the whiskey there. I thought I would have a kind of miserable night, seeing how I have been moving and did not get to decorate the new place or carve all my pumpkins. Well... it was nice tonight. I dallied at Shannons and his red pen tried to attack my costume. Then I ate dinner at Chevy's with friends all dressed up. We got dessert at Aroma's. This girl in a soldier costume came right up to me. I said hi. She said nothing. Then she moved to a different angle and looked at me again. Everyone was confused. Then she asked for a picture with me. She put her arm around me and held my hand... she was icy cold! I have a daughter.. she adopted me and I adopted her when she was around 12 or 13 years old. It's a very strong emoional attachment. The leftovers beckoned-- the dark meat and white, but I fought the temptation with all of my might. Tossing and turning with anticipation, the thought of a snack became infatuation. So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door and gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore. I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes, pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes. I felt myself swelling so plump and so round, till all of a sudden, I rose off the ground. Yes, it's the beginning of my favorite holiday. Thanksgiving! Woo hoo. Also referred to by my loving husband as the only day of the year "she likes to cook". Heh. Pumpkin pies are in the oven as we speak and soon, I'll start chopping up vegetables for the veggie tray, stuffing and turkey soup. I love to cook, I just love to cook big meals and spend all day making something wonderful. Everyday meals bore me I guess. We're having turkey, baked yams, pumpkin pie, peas & corn, turkey gravy (from scratch) and cranberry sauce. Oh and stuffing! For some reason, we decided to forgo the mashed taters this year. We'll see how that goes! So, what's your meal look like?

To start off.. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Keeva went to the doc. Her finger is just fine. They gave her a tetnis shot today instead of in Feb to help prevent anything further from happening. I told them about her throwing up and the poopies and the doc said that it's a virus that is going around and Keeva's already pretty much over it. It's like a 24 hr thing. Sucky thing is that she's getting a head cold out of it. I did a lot of cleaning. I wanted to do it yesterday but we all know when I wasn't able to. I still need to wash clothes to go to my mom's house. I wasn't able to spend the night since Keeva's apt was too far in the afternoon for my dad's liking. He wanted to be back by 2 pm.. but.. Keeva's apt wasn't til 1:50pm so that effed that shit up right? Either way we got a lot done. The living room is just about done. Just need to clean a lil bit more.. that's all. Dishes are almost done. 8 dishes left to clean... mostly big stuff then some lil stuff I found while

Children can sometimes say the funniest things. My daughter is still struggling to say certain things and words. Sometimes she says them correctly and other times she will make up her own words. I was talking to her last night and my mother was trying to get her to say various words and phrases. Such as "That's discusting!" and "octopus", which all came out wrong but were good attempts and damn funny. When she tried several times to say "Happy Thanksgiving", she gave up and spit out "Happy Nicegiving"! So I want to wish everyone a Happy Nicegiving today!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Guys and Gals! Here's a Thanksgiving rant for ya!! I'd be lucky if I could find a job that makes me 30,000 per year! I'd be hella thankful for that! But I guess if you're living in a large city where the minimum wages are much higher than where I am from in Bum Fuck Egypt, Nebraska, I guess it wouldn't be that much. Teachers here in the small town I am from are lucky to make barely 20,000 per year. I believe teachers should get paid a lot more, because they are actually attempting to make a difference in the future generation of the world. I am a high school graduate, 22 years of age, female, and have had a variety of jobs. I've gotten paid as low as 2 dollars and 25 cents per hour before for performing one of the most hardest jobs in the world, in my opinion...waitressing. You have to deal with the most snootiest fucking bitches in that line of work, and for that reason alone, I think they should be getting paid at least a set salary in stead of working f
