Guess What She Is Doing?
Yesterday, while driving to get the kids from school, I heard a commercial come on The Michael Baisden Show. It was a commercial about a company that works for Disney that finds child talent for TV shows, commercials, movies, and appearances on The Disney Channel. I figured since my daughter has my artistic side (singing, dancing, acting, etc.) that she would like this. So I called the 800 number and what do you know? I got her an audition!!! I will be taking her on Saturday. Her audition is at noon. The lady on the phone said they are looking for child talent for a TV commercial, so that is what she will be auditioning for. Wish her luck!!! We are both very excited and I know my little lady will do very well! P.S. I already researched the company. They are BBB accredited and it is not a scam. I know someone will come in here and say be careful. Just know that I already thought about it before you did :P

Festering pustules of putrid acid fill my bowels and create a unwelcome habitat for peace. I fill dirty and hopeless as eyes surround on all sides. My heart shrinks as I try to hide and crawl back inside. The beast screams in defiance when told to stand down. My bass guitar finally died on me after 20 years of faithful service. Well, theres no use crying over spilled milk, on monday im going to buy a new bass. Im going to buy a Fender Highway One Jazz bass, actually this will be the first "professional" quality bass i have ever owned, not that i think it will make a difference one way or the other, cheap basses can sound pretty good too, its all in how you play not what brand of bass you play. I have owned around 30 electric guitars over the last 25 years, some of them have been really expensive american handmade instruments and some have been cheap korean or swedish guitars made out of plywood and plastic, i currently own a 1966 Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins model that sounds absolutely amazing and a swedish Hagström made of plastic, one of them is worth at least 2000$ and the other perhaps at the most 100$ but both of them are damm good guitars, i have actually used the plastic Hagström a lot more than the Gretsch, i wouldnt trade that sw

So, since I'm poor at the moment even though I just got paid, and I don't have an XBox Live Gold account, I activated my free two day trial that came with Crackdown so I could link up my gamertag to my GH3 account online. I guess I love them all, but my Rogue Bell Brass Resonator ranks right up there, and then there's my 92 custom Gibson LP w/EMG's for when i really feel like tuning low, and my Dean Dime just begs to shred!!! yet at times my Strat just wants to be caressed so it can let out it's blues before gettin funky. And then I grab my 87 Kramer Striker, which cranks out any sound you could possibly want, and yes, it was made in Korea, which in my opinion slaps together some of the best sounding guitars out there. what do you folks think?

As a musician, I have looked up to other guitarists who have influenced me through the years. You know when you buy that pack of gum, chew a few pieces, and lose the pack? That happened to me last week, but I found it! Yes, indeed. I went to San Diego last week and bought some gum at the airport. You know...pop the ears, fresh breath, etc... Well, once I got there I forgot about it for a few days. Gumbo Louisiana Style
2 stewing chickens 3 lb. smoked sausage (seasoned with salt, pepper, accent, garlic powder), sliced in thin pieces 2 lb. crab legs 2 or 3 cans oysters 1 c. diced green pepper 1 c. diced celery 3 tbsp. garlic powder 2 tbsp. black pepper 1 tsp. red pepper 2 tbsp. salt 2 tbsp. basil 2 tbsp. rosemary 2 tbsp. accent ROUX MIX: 2 1/2 c. flour 1 c. cooking oil Heat oil in heavy skillet until very hot. Add flour a little at a time stirring constantly until it forms a paste like consistency. Lower heat and continue to stir until dark brown. Do not burn. Turn heat off and continue to stir until mixture stops bubbling. In large gumbo pot fill to 1/2 full with water. Add seasoned chicken, basil, rosemary, green pepper, onion, sausage, crab legs and roux. Bring to full boil stirring to keep roux from sticking to bottom of pot. Reduce heat and simmer until chicken is tender about 2 1/2 hours. Then add shrimp, simmer about 1/2 hour longer. Add oysters cook 5 minutes more. Serv

Well , things have been pretty good lately. I got to spend a couple of weeks with my son. He came to visit before he gets shipped out to Iraq. I havent seen him for 1 1/2 years , gosh , he looks wonderful... he's put on about 10 lbs of muscle and i swear he's gotten taller. Guns 'n' Roses
So... tonight I got to go see a concert... not any concert either... I went to Guns 'n' Roses... to be honest my girlfriend and I were not really excited about G'n'R as we have heard stories that they suck, and that you're lucky if Axl makes it through a whole show without throwing a hissy fit. We went to go and see Sebastian Bach. So... the very first act was the Suicide Girls who are very sexy... if you don't know who they are look them up. They had five of the bodacious ladies dancing on stage and removing their tops... they had pasties on so it wasn't like you could see everything. Then there was some other band... I can't remember their names. They didn't suck too bad... but after a few songs they started to sound the same. Then it was Sebastian Bach... he rocked out some of his solo hits and also did some throw backs to his Skid Row days... which made me very happy.
