Almost two years ago I had the honor and privilege to meet a wonderful woman. Her smile could light up a room, her laughter was infectious, and her warm and giving spirit was felt by all around her. She cared deeply for her family and friends, devoting her life to those who mattered most to her. She was rarely upset or down. She was always there to listen, lend advice or bitch right along side you. Tragically her beautiful life was cut short on September 23, 2008 when she was involved in a auto accident that took her life. Happiness.... I am not sure that any one thing or person can provide true happiness... Although...you add family, kids, husband/wife, and great friends and you have the perfect recipe for happiness.... I know some ppl believe that money can bring happiness or that material things can bring happiness....but all of these things can be got and lost in a day....where as family friends kids a mate these things are not so easily lost if loved and treated well.... well.. we had one bad windstorm lastnight. Have to say it was one of the scariest moments in my life. I know they were calling for tornados in cities near us..but felt like we were having one here also. I was rather shocked though when I went to town today..to find not much damage. I seen a little bit..but not what I figured there would be. We were out of electric for 13hrs though. I got weighed in today..and lost 3 more pounds. A total of 9.8 in two weeks..woo hoo. Happy Fucking Valentines Day
I've decided that today is the shittiest of all holidays. Every year, I spend it alone. Even when I was w the kids' dad, I basically spent it alone. At least then I had drugs... anything to numb the pain would be great right about now. It's not even 3PM, and I'm already considering hitting the booze. so I finally got my stuff back, minus a couple blending style's I made... feel's good to be able to conceptualize what I am visualizing again... I know it's only a program, but it's a release for me... a way to escape from the mundane, to let my own world show through... these other application's out there, not as good to me... I know some out there feel they are, I want simplicity and functional, not something flashy that I have to memorize a hundred and one hotkey's and function's... just let me point and click, adjust a little slider bar, grab a node with my mouse and move it where i want it... even my machine's are simple... i don't need the fancy thing's to do what i want, they don't make me any better... they don't make the machine's or the program's run any better...

03 25 09 12:06pm OLP's time... As I'm sittin' here by the window in my easy chair, with my laptop on me, and the skies bein' partly cloudy. I feel at peace within myself now. I have spent the past two days taken my two boys to the vet. Barnabas who is 1 yr and 5 months, went to get his annual booster shot, ear cleanin' and mite solution. Tuesday was Paul's turn he is 11 months old, his birthday is April 2nd...But, he went in for a casteration, ear cleanin' & mite solution also. I participated in it three years ago – it was only an hour at Paradiso’s, a local Mexican restaurant, in which to get your mug shot taken and make calls to raise money – and I felt the local chapter was a little dishonest about it. This part’s a little embarrassing … I really don’t know that many people to contact by phone around here to “raise my bail”. Money is a touchy subject; ask almost anyone. So, I get up at my normal time and do the "I'll just lay here 5 more minutes". Yeah, get up and now I'm running behind. No breakfast for me. Dressed and out the door to catch my bus. Oh joy! Happenings...
Hello friends, so i just spent the last 3hrs at the emergency room gah!. About 4 days ago i started coughing really bad but assumed i was just getting a summer cold and ignored it. The next day started doing the over the counter checkers with this medicine and that and trying a few different home remedies that everybody loves to offer when they see you hacking up a lung. Thursday night when i got off work i was suppose to go see my guy for some playtime but my body and head hurt so bad from coughing that i v lined it to walmart instead and loaded up on nyquil and thera flu. It was at that moment when i chose medicine and bed over sex that i was feelin pretty damn bad. Last night when i got off work i litterally felt like id been run over by a truck but i had promised a couple friends id meet them for a drink so i head to the bar. I went to see my mom today. It's her 83rd birthday. She has been in a nursing home for several years now. She doesn't know who I am anymore. They now have her under hospice care. Which means the end is near. She looked terrible. She had no idea who me or my daughter was. She thought we were the staff just there to bother her. That was tough. As bad as this sounds, I just wish the end would come sooner than later. So she doesn't have to suffer in her private hell anymore. I wish she would just let go.

Between her horses and my soccer we see very little of each other. A lot has gone on this past year and i mean a LOT. The best thing other than still being alive and bring life into this world 11-20-09 @ 12:59PM. It'll be Kieran's 1st Christmas, he'll be 1 month and 5 days old on Christmas. I'm happy to be celebrating his 1st Christmas with him along with my 3 yr old son, Elijah as well. They are both the best things that have ever happened to me in MY life at this point. With everything that has gone on this past year though I don't even care to celebrate the holidays. Other than my boys and my own family(mom, bro, uncles) I don't have that special someone to share it with. A year ago it was great as I was spending Christmas and the New Year with someone i loved at some point and someone who i thought loved me. Well now? Now i am signle 23 with 2 kids. All i can hope for is 2010 to be better than 2009.

I have heard it said that happiness is not a prize to be won. It's a journey not a destination. You don't get there and stop, you are always moving along with it. Some say the purpose in life is to be happy and to help others be happy. I think that minute by minute and day by day we can choose to be bubbly and smile no matter what or we can choose to be a sad sack. I don't always let things go and stay in the present but I try. I can't always stand firmly where I am and sometimes I catch myself looking too far forward or looking backwards in my life. I try to be aware of everything going on and every day I get better at it. My step dad, Charlie was a good guy....he became my dad shortly after i was born. He treated my two older sisters and brother like his own. So, i only knew him as my dad. Unfortunately i fell in and drown. My little sister seen me fall in and rush to get my mom then went to get my dad. My mom pulled me out as my dad came flying out of the house. He was a navy man and did alot of water rescues. Dad started cpr on me immediately. I wasnt breathing and my heart had stopped for over a minute. Finailly, by the grace of God, he pounded on my chest one more time and it started to beat again. He continued to give me mouth to mouth til the ambulance arrived. Hey guys! Just wanted to update my friends. I will be graduating in 7 more days! It's been such a tough year, with its share of trials and tribulations. But i stuck it out, and here's my pay off. About a month ago, i applied for a stylist position at my favorite salon. (this is a huge reach, because most recent graduates have to work as an assistant for the first year or so) They called me in last weekend for an interview and practical assesment, and immediately offered me a chair!!!! So, I graduate next tuesday, and begin my new job the following monday. I feel so grateful to all of my family and friends for supporting me and pushing me through.. now i can do what i love to do, in a place that i love.. and get paid for it!

For the majority of people out there, today is simply the day before St. Patrick's Day. Everyone is excited to go out tomorrow and drink their green beers and get DUI'd all over the place :) But for me, it brings back both wonderful and extremely painful memories. Today, March 16, would be my grandmother's 79th birthday if she were still here. I grew up in South Philadelphia; which for those who have been there or have lived there, is not exactly the storybook childhood. Well it is other July. Another birthday come and gone so know I am going backwards with my age haha. had a decent 4th of july weekened except the fireworks are were on July 1st. Over 10,000 motorcycles will be there and over 65, 000 people all for a good cause. A Happy Day In A Sad World

She hugged me so tight I couldn't breathe. It was beautiful. Then the baby, Maddy (18 months) arrived, shy and charming as ever. Maddy warms up quickly! This baby can work an iphone like I've never seen! I wouldn't be able to do it! She also loves to go up and down the concrete stairs from the den to the backyard patio...which makes everyone a bit nervous, but you have to learn stuff....good and bad, right? Nothing bad tonight. We all have an eagle eye on that baby! Dinner is ready...we have so much food and tend to cater to the babies, no matter how old they are (always have fave food on hand). I first want to wish all moms, all single dads that take on the role of mom and dad, all grammas, all moms to be and all 2nd moms a Very Happy Mothers Day! Through gods gift and lots of prayers I was given the title of mom almost 9 years ago. At an early age, I found out I wasnt able to have children. My hopes and dreams of being called mommy were shattered. My dreams of walking hand and hand with my little one, teaching a child everything I know, attending PTA meetings, laughing with, crying with and growing older with my child was gone. Until one day, I decided I was going to be a mom. Through the adoption process, I became a mom almost 9 years ago. I was given my gift of a beautiful daughter the day she was born. Through a long and dragged out process, I picked her up brand new at the hospital. This was the most wonderful and memorable day of my life. I was now a mommy !! I look forward to Mothers Day as a day i remember as god answering my prayers and a gift from my dad.

Tomorrow is my mom's birthday. She will be 62. She is already forgetting things I didn't think she would soon forget. It kinda of does bother me but then again I forget certain things at the most inconveinent times. I figure if I hope for understanding that someone else would too. I just came home from a fun night with friends. Turned on my lights and my pc and was staring blanky on my screen. I am nowhere. That's the thought that came to my mind. Not that I party all the time but because I am not inspired...motivated...undecided. I don't need anyone to do it for me but I feel lonely. Today!!! 5 years ago i gave birth to my biggest baby boy...Mason Miles!!...Today im gonna share a very emotion story with you guys...After he was born and we brought him home...I suffered through Postpartum depression, something i was rarely new to since i didnt have it with my 3 before....After a week i was admited to St.Louis Jewish barnes hopsital to get better....After there for a week in a half i got to come home to my baby boy..But its a time i would rather not rememeber He was airlifted to St.Louis Children's hopsital within mins of me arriving home. With only a 50-50 chance of making it.He had lost nearly 4 pounds,from what he weighted at birth He then would spend the next Month Fighting RSV Today i have little memory of the first few weeks of his life...But he is my angel baby!!...Today he's one heathly 5 year old!!!...And a little monster at that but he will always be my angel baby no matter how big or old he gets...Happy birthday to my amazing little M&M...
