Happiness
We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. THEN we are frustrated that the kids aren't old enough and we'll be more content when they are. After THAT, we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We will CERTAINLY be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, when we are able to go on a nice vacation or when we retire. The truth is there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best t o admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. Happiness is the way. So, treasure every moment that you have and treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time with..... and remember that time waits for no one. There is no better time than right now to be happy. Happiness is a journey,

Today is the day that we in the United States remember and say "Thank You." to the veterans of our military. We do this as Europe remember the end of World War I and the entire generation of men and women lost all over their continent. Every year we lose more veterans to old age, complications due to their injuries and sadly even some to suicide. This year it is even tougher because our VA hospital system is breaking down has it tries to handle veterans from a least five major wars and the war we are in now. So I say this Veteran's Day, thanks to all US vets and those of our allies. Please keep them in your prayers. And never let our government and communities to forget theirs needs.

I just got home from my local Veterans Day Parade and thought I'd write about it. After a night of rain I woke up this morning, the streets were wet, it was still a little foggy but starting clear. My local Harley HOG Chapter was entered in our Veterans Day Parade and I had promised to show up if it didn't rain. Besides I spent a litte time cleaning the bike yesterday afternoon in preparation for today. There were quite a few old restored military jeeps there. Lots of veterans in their old uniforms and a nice turn out by the local citizens. And, great weather!!! I rode my Sportster (that is my main pic) but I had a few more clothes on. :) To all you Vetrans, THANKYOU!!!

Please take time to remember those that have served our country, those that are currently serving, and those that have given their lives serving our country. Many people have taken time out of their lives to serve because they wanted to do something for their country. I can tell you that they do not do it to get rich and they do not do it for recognition. Most that serve know that there are bigger implications involved when they volunteer and they realize that they could be asked at any time to put their life on the line. Those men and women that are currently serving are doing a tough job, and with all the negative media and the opposition that they get from groups around the country for the job that they are currently doing; they need all the support that they can get from those of us that appreciate them. If you get the opportunity, let them know that they are appreciated. Thanks

I just want too thank all of my friends for being who you are. In all of the drama and chaos on here sometimes things gets rather crazy. You are always there no matter what I need. Seems these days it can get pretty hard for people to stay in touch on a regular basis due to spreading out location wise and just from how much we all try to do all the time! I am guilty of that too, but its this time of year i try to take a moment and appreciate those around me. You know I read alot about love and what people ask the most is should I still be friends with my ex g/b friend or husband/wife.My thoughts on it is if your relationship is mature enough then yes you should stay friends.I have been with my husband for 11 yrs things have happen and we can't live together anymore but we both agree that we still love each other so we're going to stay friends.I named this Happy/Sad because i'm sad that one part of my life is ending and i'm happy because i'll still have my best friend in my new life.I'll always love you.

He is my world, my reason for waking up every day, and my reason to laugh. I didn't get to choose him to be my family but I am more than thankful he has been chosen for me. Seems we sometimes get lost on "Lifes Highway" and can't figure out how to get back on track. I think about that as I'm about to hit the highway headed towards Wisconsin. If you haven't done so it is a good idea to do it now before it is to late. No, the worlds not going to end, at least I haven't been told that it is. Well.. here we are.. being thankful for all the great things in our lives. Not a bad thing to take some time and be appreciative of the gifts we have. I came to the realization tonight that in the town I live in.. I'M RICH.. but in another town.. well..I would probably be nearer the lower middle class. Not that status means much to me. I moved to my town to be in the town I teach in... nothing more.. nothing less. When you're about to go it alone and have to think about finances with three kids... where you live is a big one. Oldest daughter Jennifer was here for the day. She did well, didn't let her 7 year old self pop out - she dissociates to her 7 year old or teenaged self when necessary! She is actually 36 years old and the mother of the grandsons I am legal guardian for. She is on her way home to rehab as we speak! Today is a red letter day for Taylor, my 16 year old son. The band he is in, Requiem, is opening for the weekend at The Warehouse in LaCrosse! This is their first official "gig". I will play limo for the budding rockstar and his girlfriend, lol. I'm also hauling some amps, etc. So I'll be there nice and early - yeah, I'm with the band, lmao!! They are scheduled to start playing at 6:10 p.m. - such an odd time! Hopefully, Damian and Dakota, who are transporting Mom back to rehab, will be back in time

Well this week, I had sinus surgery and to be honest I am still recovering. My nose still hurts and I guess there is no relief right now until it has completely healed. So for my birthday I ordered a cake (Black Forest) last week for this weekend so that I would have it here for tomorrow.Since my dear hubby has to work and of course my brother is working as well. Ok, so maybe because I am going to be at home (ALONE) for my birthday, I should be relaxing in the blissful peace and quiet (and sleeping as late as I want) but gee, I wanted to have a little more fun than being by myself. Luckily my brother came up during the Alabama/Auburn Game tonight (I already had a hunch Auburn was going to win so I still won) so I was able to spend the time with him and my husband. I had planned on going into work today, but my plans have changed. We are in the midst of a Winter Storm Warning - the snow is really coming down! This has turned into an interesting day for Dakota, the 13 year old grandson that lives with me. He got injured in his last match yesterday at a wrestling tournament in Marshfield, WI. Whacked his right elbow really hard by falling on it while having his opponent in a hold of some kind, lol! He is now sporting a lovely cast - broke his elbow! And, of course, he is right handed, lol! He'd been complaining of a sore throat, so for chuckles and grins I asked that they check for strep! Yep, he's got strep as well. Is it possible for everyone to find happiness? Or is it only meant for some to find? That is the question that burns through my mind. How is it that some are blessed with wonderful relationship, were others must love someone who doesnt love them back. Or there are some who have money out their ears,were some are barely scraping by. I dont understand this but maybe someday i will. My dad says happiness comes with love, but the only thing i see that comes with love is heartache and loneliness. My dad also tell me that i only need to find the one person i can give my heart to, and this will give me love and happiness. The only problem with that is if you give your heart to someone the always offer it back in pieces with a note that says " Here you go, you can put it back together." Bah. I, for one, struggle with this time of year. So many losses in the past, and always more to come it seems. This year is slightly different though. I have a great new addition to my life. He's wonderful on every level. He reminds me that there are some good things to look forward to, and it's a little easier not to focus on the past losses. They haunt me, as I'm sure they haunt many of you. Just think of it this way, it could always be worse.. and it could always be better. I just wanted to make a quick post to let everyone know that I am indeed alive and well, if a bit sad and stressed this holiday season. It's been hard dealing with the loss of my mommy but we are getting through it one day at a time. We've managed to get moved into her house, though it's a huge mess right now. She already had three households worth of belongings crammed into it so it's not been easy trying to fit ours in here, too. I've been giving things away like crazy! I'm doing my best to find the holiday spirit in me. Christmas was mommy's favorite holiday and I know she'd want us to get as much joy out of it as we can, especially for the kids. Weeee! Got my doctor's appointment today... everything is good! Heart rate was good and the baby kicked at the doppler! hehe. It was a really short appointment which is cool. I had a list of stuff that I wanted to bring up and I'm glad I didn't freak out when each thing happened- since it's all normal. My blood pressure was lower then it had been in the past, which is good. It's also suprising since I was so pissed off earlier. It was to the point that I was shaking. Gladly though I did calm down and I'm definately going to think things through before I decide how I'm going to handle this. I don't want to barrel into something with out thinking it through and understand exactly what I want to say. Anyways, I found out my ultrasound is going to be at my next appointment (January 17 for those curious.) I hope this next month goes as fast as this last one has.. I can't wait! *giggles* XOXO

I know there is drama there, but it just works for me. Well, not much is happening. I have been working on Christmas photo shoots for the models. I am an official photographer for Candy Scandles. This week I will be working a freelance gig for a local realtor in town. Woohoo! Mike has been keeping me busy as well. Hubby and I went holiday shopping and this year will blow the kids mind. We got them a killer PC with a 26 inch flat screen. I cant wait to see their faces! I got my Mom a emerald and diamond bracelet, and who knows what hubby got me. Today is my oldest daughter's 13th birthday. She has decided to spend it at a friend's house. My wife got her a manicure a few weeks ago. Her friends are throwing her party later today. It will be interesting having a teenager in the house. Over the next five years, she will learn to drive, finish school, start college and get registered to vote. I know her childhood was hard with all that she has been through. So my birthday wish for her is that her teenage years are easier and full of new opporunities.

I am happy once again because I have decided upon some urging from ohio and alot of TLC here in AZ, to make it work with my wonderful husband. We may have had some rocky times but I am confident that we can make it work as we have both realized how much we really are in love with each other. Also, we have managed to work out alot of our problems that were leading us to a painful divorce. Divorce, I've had a couple and they are not fun, I am ready to fight to make it work. I am optimistically hoping that he is just as genuine as I am this time.

The transition from 2007 to 2008, forgetting for the first half of the year that you have to write down 2008 instead of 2007, lol, trying to make sure that everything goes smoothly, trying to make sure that you're resolutions come true, and having one night of fun and getting drunk and bringing in the New Year the traditional way by celebrating. Because I am a truck driver, holidays are difficult to celebrate, but I get to celebrate this year, but having the frame of mind that I do because I am a truck driver, I think of others before myself, so I'm asking that all that plan on going out to bars or parties on New Year's Eve, please if you drink, DON'T DRIVE. Happy New Year everyone. It has been a rather rough year for me, well not the entire year, just the last several months because of my boys. They have put me and my husband through a lot with school and getting into trouble. It is fixable so I will not worry about it too much. They just need to be put back on the right track. Almost made this a This and That blog, lol! Dakota, my 13 year old grandson, is really getting into music these days and all the different bands. I have been totally immersed in several bands of late: Disturbed, Buckcherry, and occasional DragonForce. Right now, I'm getting a cram course in Godsmack!! I have learned all the words to Serenity and Voodoo. I think Voodoo is one of may favorites, for several reasons. One of the biggest reasons is - I can belly dance to it!! I've worked up a really nifty choreographed bellydance routine to the bloody song, now that I've heard it about 500 times, lol. Too bad my dance instructor makes us use Middle Eastern music only for solos. I have been sick the last 6 days - nasty viral thing!
