In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Carrot Pineapple Salad
Ingredients: * 1 envelope unflavored gelatin * 1/2 cup reserved pineapple juice * 1/3 cup sugar * 1/4 tsp. salt * 1 cup boiling water * 1/4 cup lemon juice * 1/2 cup chopped pecans * 8-oz. can crushed pineapple, well drained, reserving juice * 2 carrots, coarsely grated Preparation: In large bowl, sprinkle gelatin over reserved pineapple juice and let stand 2-3 minutes. Then pour sugar and salt on top of gelatin. Pour boiling water over all and stir until sugar and gelatin are dissolved. Add lemon juice and stir to blend. Add pecans, pineapple, and grated carrot. Pour into 8" square glass baking dish. Cover and chill 4 hours until firm. Cut into squares to serve and top with a bit of mayonnaise. 9 servings

Today would have been my dad's 84th birthday. I miss my dad. I didn't know him as well as I wanted to and my mom said it was because he didn't really want three kids wanting wondering around. I held a special place in my heart for a man that I didn't know everything about. Besides him spending time in Veitnam and liking to work with mechanics. He was 6'4" and his middle name was Willie. He made a graceful exit on my mom's birthday, when I was 16. I am not looking for anybody to feel like hurting me or any great boundy to come my way. I guess I am more like my mom than I thought. I am comfy right here in my cubby hole. Its been seeming like alot more people are exiting this realm of existance. I hope the ones left behind learn what they are suppose to before any earth shattering event takes place. Time is dwindling and I kinda feel like eternal rest sounds real good. May peace and tranquility exist in everything you see and feel today, tomorrow and forever more.

I am worn out! Yesterday, I headed to San Francisco with Peter to buy my new car. I was very excited and anxious since I had picked out a color (colour) that I had never seen before. They took my car (Honda) out for a drive to get an estimate for a trade in value. Peter and I were worried that they were going to try to buy my Honda for little money. On Saturday, it was to be him, my wife, me, and his ex wife (my wife's mother, my mother-in-law).On the way there, however, my mother-in-law hit a truck. It was at what witnesses describe as a dangerous intersection. It totalled my mother-in-laws vehicle (a Ford Explorer or something similar). It flipped the other truck over three times. None of us know about the other driver.M-I-L couldn't find her glasses, so when she got back from the hospital, she looked in her vehicle. They were in the middle seats.Now she doesn't have a vehicle, but her mother and other relatives live near her, so she can still bum rides to go places.

When we went to the emergency room at Blount Memorial hospital we were told that we would be sore on Saturday and then even more sore on Sunday but that on Monday and Tuesday we should start feeling better. They explained to us that this is quite common in car wrecks and nothing to be concerned with. However we were told that if we were not feeling better by Wednesday that we should go see our regular doctor and get checked out. So Wednesday we made an appointment with our regular doctor for Thursday Morning. Thursday Morning we went and seen our doctor and went thru an exam that should have been done

Serves: 6 I N G R E D I E N T S 3 cups cheddar or Monterey jack, shredded 12 corn tortillas 1 jar San Angel Cascabel Sauce I N S T R U C T I O N S Preheat oven to 350°F. Heat corn tortillas until they are soft enough to roll. You can either lightly fry them in oil, heat on a griddle if fresh or heat in a sealed plastic bag in a microwave. Pour half a jar of San Angel Cascabel Sauce in a pie dish. Dip a tortilla in the mole and move to a plate. Roll up the cheese in the tortilla and place in a ovenproof dish. Added some new pics... They are of the computer case mods that I have done... The first one is my personal machine... Simple color scheme, windows, organized cabling, added lighting, etc... On that one I paid a lot of attention to details... Notice the interior is colored... Yes I stripped the case down and painted the inside.. Also one of the coolest mods is an added blue LED light inside the DVD-Rom drive (a pioneer slot load not tray load)... So when you insert or eject the disc the disc shines a beam of light into the room (way cool effect)... The next one is a mod of an HP case... I cut a spiderweb into the side door for a window then placed a spiderweb fan grill in the center with a lit fan behind it... The owner wanted a purple and green color scheme so that's why it's black-light lighting with uv green cabling... I like to think both cases turned out well.. Learned a lot from both jobs... I haven't seen the HP since I gave it back but mine is still in mint condition.

4 lb. boneless chicken breast, cut in chunks 4 eggs 1 c. milk 1/2 lb. salted cashew nuts, more or less Snipped green onion tops Salt and pepper to taste OYSTER SAUCE: 1 chicken bouillon cube 1 c. water 2 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 1/4 c. water 1 tsp. oyster flavor sauce Flour chicken - let stand 15 minutes. Meanwhile combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Place floured chicken pieces in egg mixture for 10 minutes. Remove and coat with flour. Fry in hot oil in single layer. Keep chicken warm in covered pan at 200 degrees until all chicken is fried. Pour sauce over hot chicken. Sprinkle with nuts and green onions. Also may be served with Sweet & Sour Sauce. OYSTER SAUCE: Dissolve bouillon cube in boiling water. Combine cornstarch and add water. Add sugar and oyster sauce and cornstarch mixture to bouillon water. Cook over low heat until thickened. So get this, Years ago when I was taught to ring a cash register, you handed the loose change back to the customer first, then counted the bills back. Sometimes you had to patiently wait while the customer pocketed the change. Nowadays these people give you the bills first then the change on top! Yesterday was the worst! I got a coffee with a 20 dollar bill and when the cashier went to hand me back the change I actually reached for her hand with the loose change with my palm up....what did she do? Ok the Holidays are coming weather we like it or not. I love the holidays expecially Christmas but they can be ruined very fast for me when I'm at the register and the person in frount of me is giving the cashier a rough time over something she/he has no control over. What do I mean by a rough time. The store was out of something that she was there for and you'd have thought it was the the cashiers fault. Homemade Cashew Butter Recipe courtesy Emeril Lagasse, 2003 Show: Emeril Live Episode: In a Nutshell Cashews are highly perishable and can turn rancid quickly due to their high oil content. Process on high speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula and process to desired smoothness, adding more oil, 1 teaspoon at a time, if a smoother butter is desired. Cook chicken in a little oil and minced garlic. When the chicken is no longer pink, add the bamboo shoots and the green pepper to the wok (or fry pan if you don't have a wok). Cook for a minute or two. Sprinkle a little of the rice wine vinegar over the chicken/veggie mixture and cook another minute. Add nuts and cook another minute.
