Me 2
I took the NCLEX-RN exam today. The test is anywhere from 75 to 265 questions, and the computer cuts off when it finds that you are either competent or incompetent as a nurse. I answered 75 questions, and the computer shut off. I don't know if this is good or bad, because at 75 questions, they either decide you passed beyond their expectations, or you failed miserably. I feel pretty good about it, but I just have to wait. Hopefully I will know in 25 hours or so, but until then, I just have to chew my nails and wait! LOL I have my RNlicense. I passed Ok, I haven't been online in quite some time, with the exception of checking my email. It's been rough the past 3 months, and I'm just trying to get myself straight. I work days, evenings, nights, and I'm on call most weekends. However, the pay is wonderful, and it has allowed me to take care of my business. I just have a question. If your birthday fell on Father's Day, what would be more important...spending time with your children, going out with your girlfriend and friends or making time for all of it? Well, I know a particular father that decided to spend time with his girlfriend instead of his children. He called the day before to get his birthday and Father's Day wishes. When asked why his plans changed from spending time with his kids to spending time with his girlfriend...his answer was, she made plans for me a week ago and I don't want to disappoint her. Live and Learn... What I Have To Say!
First off, let me start by saying, Thank God the Clinton - Obama race is over! Congrats to Hillary on a great race and congrats to Obama for his victory tonight. It's been interesting to say the least. As a history lover and a future history teacher the significance of this night is just so overwhelming! I'm so proud that I'll be able to tell my children that I was able to witness this event. While politics can become irritating, I am so anxious to see how this election will unfold. Not What U Were Expecting
when i'm expecting something to go one way and it goes another i am always unhappy with the results. Even if the result on its own would be considered positive. I reached for a cream soda, someone had switched one of the bottles in the 6 pack, i opened and drank it, not seeing it wasn't cream soda. It tasted terrible. Turned out to be black cherry soda. Tornadoes June 4, 2008 Well, today was one for the record books. We had “severe weather” which means (at this particular time of year) severe thunderstorms, lightening and tornadoes. Anyone who has lived here for more than a year knows that’s just what goes on. Sometimes they cause death and destruction; sometimes they don’t. So today was no exception. We woke up to rain and it began storming shortly thereafter. When I arrived at work we had our normal “daily meeting” and discussed where to go in case of a tornado. People started freaking out. I wanted to thank my Fubomber family and my friends for helping me out so much during this contest. I have been working a lot of split shifts with this new job so I haven't been able to bomb as much as I would like to. You guys have really been there for me and stuck by me and I appreciate it. I often have a hard time explaining to people why I choose to work in an extended care facility. People often think of it as just a place where people shit on themelves and die. I think, in order to lead a happy life it's not about mean or being nice, or bad or good, it's about being smart. However, I would say that it is smart to try to be nice or good. I used to be pretty bad. I think I was pretty bad until I got smarter and 'grew up.' Now I try to be good most of the time. Why? Simple. If you think about your actions and say to yourself 'would I like what I've just done to happen to me?' and if you think not, then you probably shouldn't have done it. All you have done is increased someone elses misery and you don't get anything good back in return. Ok So ive had a few of my true and honest good friends ask me whats up? ok, im gonna tell you. Im not upset with anyone, except maybe myself. 1. i allowed myself to be talked into a situation w/ Master Earl, that i cant seem too get out of. Hes released me but wont let it go. and i think it was a hurtful way of doing things, and im not a hurtful person. 2. I have my surgry tomorrow. its not difficult one, but ive had 18 prior surguries. i currently where a medical bracelet for difficutl intubation, I have so much scar tissue in my throat and at my lungs that they almost lost me the last time. So i have reservations alot of them. Im scared shitless!!! 3. Work is still there and nothing will change while im gone so ive been desperately trying to get ahead. HALLOWEEN RECIPE Eerie Eyeballs Yields approximately 9 dozen bite-sized eyeballs 3 oz (small box) lemon gelatin (can be sugar-free) 1 cup hot water 1/2 cup miniature marshmallows 1 cup pineapple juice 8 oz cream cheese (can be lowfat/Neufchatel) Dissolve lemon gelatin in 1 cup water in double boiler, add marshmallows and stir to melt. Remove from heat. Add pineapple juice and cream cheese. Beat until well blended. Cool slightly. If you have a truffle candy mold or round ice cube trays, spary them with non-stick cooking spray first, then pour the mixture in the molds and leave to set in the fridge. Otherwise pour into a deep ceramic dish and chill until thickened or firm enough for scooping into eyeballs. Using a melonballer, scoop full balls of the mixture and set aside for decoration. Life Works Mysteriously
Just wanted to say thanks to all you people that had such kind words, thoughts, & prayers, for my Dad, My Family, & myself! Guess the power of prayer really does work.... My dad has been in the hospital since May 19th. He had toxic poisoning from a medication he was taking. The toxic levels were so high in nearly damn killed him. While they were trying to get his toxicity levels down, he had to endure many many uncomfortable tests. One test showed irregularity to his heart rate and pulse, so after even more testing, they decided he needs to have implanted a pacemaker and difibulator. WOW.. that comes as a shocker to us all, including him. Done deal!!! Everything went well!!!! Wahoo I feels better! He has been in a physical therapy rehab now since Sunday, June 1st & is doing great. My Life
Anyway I've never written a blog on here before and most on here probably don't care but it's just something that I can't seem to get off of my mind litereally. Yesterday I went to my dr and found out that I have a brain tumor on my left frontal lobe. To a lot of people they are like yea big deal. Well to me it is a big deal. I'm 25 and a mother to the most precious 5 year old little boy in the world and im scared shitless right now. I feel lost and alone and don't even know which way to turn. People say there are dr's out there. Yea but that also means I get to trust "Dr's" to eventually cut into MY brain and not to mess up. Status Update On Xena
Just by way of background for you, last year I was unwell with a serious Liver Disorder following which my marriage disintegrated. My spouse and I are now separated however, the emotional stress and trauma appears to be taking its toll once again, unfortunately, and there is some concern that i may be taking ill again. Aside from which I am having some lumps in my neck checked out, so just so u are all aware, I am in a bit of a fight mode, so anyone that says or does the wrong thing will either be ignored or flattened by my thunder. The pictures in the paper are so shocking I felt like crying, horses are gentle creatures, when there are two males after a female they may fight over her but the stronger one will win and the weaker one will go away. They never fight to the death! Although the 3 day fight festival a year was banned 10 years ago it seems it still goes on. They get tortured, tied up, beaten so that when they go out into the ring they are so in a frenzy they fight to the death, the rings they fight in are so small that they can only do one thing and that is to fight or face being beaten by their trainers who train them to fight. Is it Sunday yet?? I can't wait to go see my Angel Girl! This is going to be the hard part of being an Aunt. We live about 45 minutes from them, working two jobs, and with gas prices, we have to limit our trips out to see her. I miss her, and she has only been here for a week! My sister in law went in to labor at ten AM, and she and the baby are doing fine so far. I don't know anything else yet, but I am so excited I can't stand it! It is a real illness with a real causes. But the good news is that it can be treated. Some people think you can just will yourself out of a depression. That`s not true. When you`re clinically depressed, one thing that can happen is the level of serotonin ( a chemical in your body) may drop. So you may have trouble sleeping. Feel you unusually sad or irritable. Find it hard to concentrate. Lose your appetite. Lack energy, or have trouble feeling pleasure. These are some of the symptoms that can point to depression- especially if they last for more than a couple of weeks and if normal, everyday life feels like too much to handle.!!!!

Too Much On My Plate
