Just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been on here today. We got a new puppy on Saturday. He was doing real good until yesterday. Then he wouldn't eat or drink anything. I tried anything and everything I could think of, but he wouldn't touch a thing. So, this morning I called the Vet and they said to come on in. Surgery
This is not my surgery, but this is what they did. I had my surgery today and so far so good. For those who don't know I tore my rotator cuff back in July. Today I had an arthroscopic procedure to sew up the tear, insert an anchor, and reattach the bicep. Doc said the tear in the labrum was not as bad as the MRI showed, but the tear in the cuff was worse than expected. So now I'm resting somewhat comfortably with percocet and this nifty cold water circulating device wrapped around my shoulder. Thank you Nancy for being my helper today so my wife could tend to the kids and make the day as normal as possible for them (and her). Days like this remind me of what a wonderful family I have. They are doing everything they can to make me comfortable. A long rehab is ahead of me but with the family and friends I am fortunate to have, it will be a breeze.

Court...
I went to Court today, on the Restraining Order case, AND I WON! The res order is good for 3 years. Some of you know a bit of what I've been going thru the past nearly 2 years, and that my X was recently arrested for some bullshit. In fact it was skin head bullshit that got him arrested. I also found out today, that hes looking at doing some time, at least a few years!!! Ive been dealing with two different court cases, against the same guy (restraining order and custody), and since I won today, this helps me very much!!! If I'm really lucky and hes still locked up on the next court date (nov 29) then I'll win that too. He's trying to make it to where I can only see my daughter on weekends and holidays. Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm, and that I'll have to drive 7 hours to pick her up and drop her off. Over my dead body! Thoughts
Why do people you consider friends do a complete about-face for no apparent reason? They claim to have feelings for you then suddenly stop talking, won't even take a message from you or give you any kind of explanation as to why. It hurts and pisses me off at the same time. It adds stress, when I don't really need more. Between work and school I barely have time to breathe. Anyone have ways of dealing with similar situation? 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, melted 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1 can (8 oz) Pillsbury® refrigerated crescent dinner rolls 1 egg 1/2 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing 1 can (6 oz) crabmeat, drained, flaked 3/4 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese (3 oz) 1/3 cup finely chopped plum (Roma) tomato (1 medium) 3 tablespoons finely chopped green onions (3 medium) 1 teaspoon red pepper sauce DIRECTIONS 1. Heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix melted butter and garlic powder; set aside. On lightly floured surface, unroll dough; press into 12x8-inch rectangle, firmly press perforations to seal. Cut into 2-inch squares; place on ungreased cookie sheet. Brush with butter mixture. Bake 4 to 6 minutes or until puffed. 2. Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix egg and mayonnaise until well blended. Stir in crabmeat, cheese, tomato, onions and pepper sauce. Spoon generous tablespoon crab mixture on each square. 3. Bake 10 to 12 minutes longer or until golden brown and tops are set. Serve

I am a little irritated. This pic got rated NSFW last night while I was asleep. Do you see anything NSFW about it? I see constantly on people's profiles; comments that are far more innapropriate. Actual clips of sex, etc. However a pic of a cartoonish girl not showing anything innapropriate is flagged. The profile comments are seen much easier than a pic in my photos section. Funny thing is that I have seen several of the cartoonish pics that were marked NSFW in my pics on people's pages as comments. It is really irritating.

Packing & Moving
so, the mortgage company is about to screw me. they arent going to be able to make my closing date, which will certainly mess up my moving date... and that was the -only- weekend i have free until january... this may mean i cant buy the house at all. grrrrrr. woohoo! moving moving moving. i got the house... waiting for the underwriting to go through... which i was assured wouldnt be a problem. so... i'm packing. 38 boxes packed (2 wardrobe, 1 medium, and 35 small boxes). made a sizable dent i think. :) still a lot of work to do. kitchen, closets, bathroom, computer desks, and random crap (you know the stuff you always wind up packing b/c you didnt have anyplace it belonged). the crew / army will be coming down to help w/ the move. mostly w/ the whole thing, but some people can only make it to one side of the move. it should be even more interesting since both of my parents will be coming down as well. ... and before you ask... the party will probably be in february or march.

Being A Little Selfish

I had a mamogram last week and got a call from my obgyn this morning telling me I have to go and have a spot compression test because my mamogram showed a mass on my right breast. I get this news the day after my 45th birthday HAPPY F....Birthday to me huh. Well I go in for the test on Nov. 5th ...the 4 year anniverary of my Dad's passing of all days. So I am asking you all to keep me in your thoughts and prayers that everything turns out fine. Also keep my mom in ya'll prayers too she is going through some rough times right now the Dr's are trying to determine if it's depression or possibly something nuerological. Please don't let the news of my test get back to my mom she has enough to deal with without having to worry about me right now.
