Closure
On May 17, 2007, a dear friend of mine died of Lung Cancer. I did not learn of her passing until many months later nor did I even know she had been sick. We had drifted apart in life, as friends sometimes do. It had always been my intention to reunite...but as it often happens...life gets in the way. When I got married, she was a bridesmaid...when she married I was a bridesmaid for her as well. She went off to grad school and became a Pullitzer Prize winning journalist and a professor at Columbia University... I went to grad school and got my MBA and had three children. She got divorced--but never called to tell me she was even having marital troubles... I found out after 9-11 after I called to make sure she was okay as she lived in the city... We stayed in touch for a little while but then I lost my job and had to turn in my work computer and I lost her email address...stupid things.... Drama - I Thought We Were Adults Here?

Change Of Pace
Ok heres an update on how my grandmother is doing from my last blog (hell my only blog for that matter). My grandmother made it through surgery alright. They completed the triple bypass without any complications. When I left the hospital to come home for a lil bit she was showing good signs that she knows what is goin on around her (this is important cuz they are fearful she could have a stroke after having an operation like this). They said she seems to be breathing without the benefit of the respirator but she has to keep that in her until she can take deep breathes. Other then that its pretty much just a wait and see for the next day or so to see how she pulls through it all. We are hopeful to get her out of ICU by tomorrow but that all just depends on her really. The difficult part about her being in the ICU unit is the fact that the family only gets to go back there during certain designated times and only 2 ppl are allowed back at a time. Small Town
As most of you know I've moved from the big city to a small town. I am very happy being here. I finally got everything in order as far as getting everything put in it's place. I Was In A Car Accident..i Am So Happy To Be Alive..
i dont really know how to say this...but i am so lucky to be alive.....about 2 1/2 hrs ago i was driving home from work and was in a car accident......i was driving down rt295 coming home from work(i normally drive up rt70 and take the ben franklin) i dont know why i went this way...while i was driving... 3 huge deer were taking up all 3 lanes as they attempted to jog across 6 lanes of the highway... there was no way to avoid them at all...swerve to the left...i hit a deer.. swerve to the right...deer...straight ahead....deer...i had no time to blink..think...so i hit the center deer head on ...the impact nearly haulted my car so i try to pull over....the deer finally broke away from the front of my car and lay there in the highway...car after car..kept hitting this same deer and it kept flying in the air inching closer and closer to my car...at this point...i am scared to death..so i try to pull up more...two cars pulled over after they hit the same deer..one girl pulled over and star

Is Monday morning at 359 am. I am sitting here at work confused about something. I met someone here back in February, I wasn't looking for anything special specific. my daughter in law just had a little baby boy today. Things went terribly wrong today.. The baby is fine. But my daughter in law had to have a blood transfusion today so far they have given her 5 units of blood. She is in ICU--CCU now. She is in critial condition right now for the next 48 hours. I can't sleep again because when I lay there all I can think about are my kids, first it starts out with me thinking about what I want to get them for Christmas and then I think about how I will get them these things.. quickly it turns into thoughts of what these last few years have been like for me. All the things I've wanted to do for my kids and all the things I've wanted to have for them and I've gotten nowhere. I'm really lost and it makes me want to cry, everytime I think about it I just want to break down, sometimes it's way to much. I feel like I'm letting them down by being such a loser and when I try to make things better, it just seems as though it makes my tunnel even longer. I can't even see the light anymore that's how far away from the end I am. I'm so torn.. I try to do good and help ppl or atleast I think I am and I get stepped on.

My Son
Well I was letting my daughter go to myspace for a while today, and she found something for me. Some pictures of my son. A couple of years ago he begged and begged to live with his dad. I let him for the summer, while there for the summer, I was badgered and called everyday by his dad, telling me he could give him everything he wanted, sports , tutors a good school. Because I got a promise from my son to come see me every other weekend and all holidays, I agreed. As soon as I did, I never heard from him again, except to call and tell me he couldn't make it for this and that. This past Christmas he broke my heart, downing me, his brother and sister's, and everything I ever did except bring him into this world. These pictures are bittersweet. He looks happy, and full of life. A life I am no part of. Copied every picture there was of him. Oh well, its sad but still happy to at least see these. See a little of myself in him, do you ?

I will be getting on the train tomorrow from Kelso Wa to go to glorious Seattle Washington for a few days. My sisters wedding is on Saturday (thank GOD) so I doubt I will be getting on here much. Camp
Well some of you already know that myself, my sister and my brother have started a non-profit organization. Well back in December we were told about a camp called Camp Janus that works with burn survivors. So we asked for an application to volunteer. We all filled one and and sent them in and i glad to say that we were chosen to go and help out with this camp. We have had an awesome time every time we go to the hospital to give out stuuffed animals and other things to these kids. So we are relly looking forward to going to this camp this weekend. While we are there we have been that there will be a TV network that maybe coming to do a story on the camp. Also there is a game show called YUCK that will be there doing games with the kids so there is a good possibility that we will be on TV. For everyone wondering why my status is im on painkillers and im in pain and so on this is why.... I was comming outside saturday night after one of these stoves was burning for about 8 hours...I tripped and fell and burned about 50% of my right arm...I went to the hospital and found out i have 2nd degree burns and have to go to a burn treatment center for a few weeks....They said it shouldnt scar too much.....It was the worst pain I ever felt in my entire life...Im praying everything goes well...wish me luck

Well, as I sit here trying to begin the new life I know I must begin, I think Im finally unafraid enough to try. Note the I didnt say ready to, just unafraid enough to. OK - Just an update. Jodie and I are OK, we were on our boat on the river on Sunday 25th May. Jodie recieved a phonecall from her firechief - A tornado has touched down on the corner of our street and she is needed back. We left in a hurry - the 1hr trip only took us 30 minutes. Summer School
Well school starts again tomorrow, I only have 2 classes this semester, but they are 16 week classes crammed into 8 weeks. Still need to sort some stuff out. Either I was given the wrong information, or I miss hear it. One of the classes I am taking this semester, might be for someone that is farther along than I am. I guess I will find out soon enough. Also I thought I could take certificate courses for both Funeral Director and Embalmer. But it looks like to take the embalmers class, I need to get my AA degree. No biggy there, just 2 additional electives I hadn't planned on. But the class schedule for those taking the AA degree course is differnt than what I am doing, well at least the classes are in a different order. I don't think that will be an issue. Nor do I know how it will effect my certifcate classes. I need to find out. Brother In Law Passed Away Leaving 4 Kids
to all my friends on fubar.my 39 yr old brother in law passed away on 5-20-2008. he was a father of 4 children and 4 grandchildren. He is now reunited his wife and his mother in a beautiful place watching over us all. It appears I have hurt the feeling of a child by the name of Juice. I commented on his mumm and an agurement pursued. It's hard to find friends like you, especially on the internet. Sure you find "friends" but none that make me crack up like you do. Well, This is not to whine but I don't understand some people. Why would you tell a girl that she is yours and establish a relationship. Then ask her to move in with you. Then tell the people who actually see her she is your girl, but tell your female "friends" you have online that she is only your roommate? Even after you have told her you love her. Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up, this should make things a little bit clearer. In PRISON you spend the majority of your time in a 10X10 cell. At WORK you spend the majority of your time in an 8X8 cubicle. In PRISON you get three meals a day fully paid for. At WORK you get a break for one meal and you have to pay for it. It's just a small white envelope stuck among the branches of our Christmas tree. No name, no identification, no inscription. It has peeked through the branches of our tree for the past 10 years or so.
