To all my friends, On Saturday morning, at 11:30am, October 6th, we lost our beloved mother. I am terribly sorry I have not been on as of late, but my brother and I, night and day, were trying to make a great lady as commfortable as possible in her final days. She left us in no pain and as comfortable as one could be. She now joins her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ in a better place. Believe me, shes with him. Well after an up and down year, it is nice to hopefully start with a new beginning and the chance for things to begin anew. After spending half of 2006 in IRAQ, I thought 2007 would be better and it has been to an extent. For those that didn't know, I didn't have a driver's license until this year. "Far From Heaven" is perhaps one of the finest masterpieces ever assembled on the big screen. The story is set back in the 1950's with a mother, Cathy Whittaker played by Julianne Moore, that seems to have the perfect family life. However, things aren't as perfect as they seem as she soon discovers frequent and shocking turn of events that cause her life to almost become utterly destroyed. Todd Haynes brilliant homage to classic 1950's dramas work perfectly for this film by elaborating the emotions and struggle of the character's themselves. I loved how Todd used the stereotype of modern 1950's families and completely shattered it with modern and controversial themes like homosexuality and interracial courtship. Farm
I want to set up a farm to help children & teenagers at risk of homelessness or that are already homeless. I have a dream of opening a farm to help train, look after and care for homeless children. I plan to give these kids a huge chance to make something of themselves and to give them motivation to have a go at life. There is a population on the Gold Coast and Brisbane alone of over 1,500 children homeless and another 2,500 or more at risk. We have a responsibility to the younger generations to help them as we are now the next generation and the onus is on us to help them have a go at a life away from severe crime, violence, abuse and hard drug. Many of our generation have suffered the severe life trauma of being homeless or at risk at some point of time in life, where if there were somewhere or someone there our lives may not have ended up as they are or for many and these deep embedded scars may not be still there and presenting themselves today. SO my stepdad has been working long hours all week. My mother has been in the hospitol with pancreatitis for the past few days. Ingredients: 4 Potatoes; medium 4 Bacon; strips, cubed 3 Eggs; large 3 tb Milk 1/2 ts Salt 1 c Ham; cooked, small cubes 2 Tomatoes; medium, peeled 1 tb Chives; chopped Preparation: Boil unpeeled potatoes 30 minutes. Rinse under cold water, peel and set aside to cool. Slice potatoes. In a large frypan cook bacon until transperent. Add the potato slices; cook until lightly borwned. Meanwhile blend eggs with milk and salt. Stir in the cubed ham. Cut the tomatoes into thin wedges; add to the egg mixture. Pour the egg mixture over the potatoes in the frypan.
