Do any of you know what its like to suffer from a mental illness? Because of the traumatic things in my past its left me with some very deep emotional scars in the form of illnesses I can't get over. I have been diagnosed with bipolar 2. Which I heard is pretty common. I also have PTSD. I had to take the opportunity to write this blog about parents… as I have been having some conversations with a friend about being a "mean mom". Well I had my doctors appointment today. We pull up to this "back and neck" doctor and hes a freakin neurosurgeon. lol One hell of a back doctor. Anyway got in, filled out paperwork and they then tell me I need my MRI copies from the hospital, so off we go to get copies. Finally get the copies after a 20 minute wait and head back to the doctors office. Get there and wait another 30 minutes and finally get called back. So the news is, I have 2 herniated/bulging discs in my back. He prescribed me some pain medicine to take three times a day that will likely knock me on my ass. Ummm... no thanks. Ok, I’ve been really bad about keeping this up to date. Since I last wrote, I’ve had a lot happen. In September, I went on a 4 mile walk around a wildlife refuge and apparently messed up my foot, as later that night, I noticed my big toe on my right foot was kinda numb. You know, like the feeling you get after getting a shot from the dentist and it starts wearing off… its fuzzy feeling. I ended up going to the podiatrist, and found out that I have a bone spur in my foot, in a really odd spot… it’s mostly about the top of my foot (above the arch) but just to the inside of the foot. The SAME place the nerve from the leg to the big toe runs. So when I went on the walk, the bone spur got inflamed and damaged the nerve. It’s better now, but could happen again at any time. I also was sent to see a rheumatologist, because I’ve started hurting pretty bad in my hips and knees again; mostly my knees. This is making it difficult to sit for long and definitely hard to walk

Okay all this last exam I got a B- on it and the math test an A. So far I am holding an A for the class and B for exams have to have over 75% on exams to pass so I am doing better. Other then that not much else as for school. Well today had another quiz.. and since this time she used the reveiw questions for the chapter I shouldn't miss any cause I didn't miss any in the book.. Other then that not much. Next week is a speaker on Diabetes and then review for Exam 2 that is on Monday the 15th. And I already told the instructor that I may be late or not even there next thursday due to hubbie has doc appointments. So far Mid term grad is class A.. exams B+ just me Today was the first exam. I had to retake this class due to missing the final by 1 point last term. You have to have both a 70% or higher on total Exam grade along with a 70% or higher for the class. Meetings
Several months ago, I had the pleasure and honor of becomeing friends with two wonderful ladies here on Fubar ( Lost Cherry back then). Pam and Trudy. Since then our friendships have grown and as a couple we have became friends with them and their spouses. Pam lives pretty far away from us but Trudy and Chris live only about 6 hours. This weekend they are driving down to spend the weekend here. I am so excited, I cant wait to meet them in person, we are already so close it will just be awesome. I am from Colorado, and have turned into a Gypsy. I love traveling and do so quite freely. After leaving Colorado 7 years ago, I traveled Europe 6 months and then fell in love with Italy, the men and the language so I stayed 4 years. I speak italian, and one day will go back and open up a B & B, and never come back to the states. After that I came back for reasons you don't care to hear, and got a job on a cruise ship in Hawaii. Nice for 5 months, and then off to Alaska. Now i'm living in Alaska, came for the summer in my 2nd season and wondered what it would be like to stay on winter,, burrrr its cold and snowy, that I like. I'm working for a hotel, and thats usually the type of jobs I do,, front desk, server, I like working with people, hopefully not grumpy ones. So till the end of summer at least i'm living in beautiful little town called Seward, and if this job offers me education and growth, maybe i'll stay longer.
