Statue Made For The American Soldiers By An Iraqi Artist...amazing....u R Fighting For Something Good
What is it? See the description below the photo.... This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division. It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood , TX. The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. Kalat was so grateful for the Americans liberation of his country; he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors. Kalat worked on this memorial night and day for several months. To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms. My son has recently been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism... After all these years of trying to figure out what the hell is goin on with him... In the past he was diagnosed with ADHD, ODD, Bi-Polar and Asperger Syndrome... This is gonna be one difficult journey ahead of both my son Mykal and I... Okay, so some of you knew that I have been sick most of the week. I had a bad spell with the flu. I'm still not 100%, but I didn't want to miss anymore work so I went in this morning at 6:30 AM as usual. I walk in and my boss tells me that I have been replaced, that he needs "reliable" employees. This is a poem I wrote about two years ago.. Seven Silent Tears Last night as I went to bed, Thoughts of you appeared in my head. Although I've not cried this way in years, On to my pillow fell seven silent tears. The first one came as a vision of your smile, it carries with it the innocence of a child. So I pick up my distributors from their hotel and drag their ass to the Anaheim Convention Center. The 1st 10 minutes is spent finding our bearings and getting in the door. Waste Of More Time
Last night was a little drama-filled. It wasn't supposed to be, mind you. Last night was supposed to be an early-to-bed night, filled with restful sleep such that I could wake up at the sucktastic hour of five and hose off prior to the big non-AIDS-related test. I went to bed at about 11, roughly an hour later than planned. As it turns out, the bed and the television in a non-fine hotel room have an unusual inverse relationship: the nicer the television, the shittier the bed. I had a very nice television. I saw something today that made me think. I was running into the drug store to pick up a few things for a sick friend, and as I was parking my car, I noticed a older lady pushing a stroller with a kid that at max was 2 years old. Cleaning!
Cleaning sucks! You always start out thinking it will only take you a short time, and then 6 hours later you are only half way done. Work
I have got a full time 'real' job after working temp labor for far too long. That's right true believers I am now Working @ KFC in Knoxville, TN averaging right now about 20 hours/week @ $7.00/hr. the low hours is due to the fact we are training new people for another store that has not opened yet, this new store is due to reopen on the 23rd. Once this happens i'll be getting about 30-40 hrs a wk. keep in mind KFC pays every 2 weeks. so this means i'll have loads of $ soon. this is one step I have in getting my life back in shape. I'll ofcourse keep you guys posted on what happens next, I am looking into getting my own comp and full Cherryship here on Cherrytap. Well things are back slow for me. I aced my second math test!!! My third one is next Friday technically, but for me it'll be the week after since I have to take it at DSPS. My math teacher said I was doing really good. I am all caught up on my math homework also. I just got the 4 last exercises on the chapter we are on. Homework isnt due until the final though. A Day In The Life Of Bella Rosa
Seems like I'm moving up in the world again. I'm finally getting back on my feet and starting to enjoy it. I love my placement. It's a great place to be. I love the people that I work with and the staff are great too! It looks a lot harder then it actually is. For those of you that are reading this and didn't know I'm in my second year of college in the Developmental Service Worker program and the rest of the year is all placement. I'm happy working with people who are in wheelchairs. It makes me feel like i'm making a difference in people lives. It is such a great feeling!!! Anyway, enough of my babble. Hey gang Sept 10th was my 12th wedding anniversary could everyone take just a second and wish my wife a happy one. She is the most beautiful woman in the world to me and she is one of the most caring and understanding women i have ever met. The newspaper wrote a lovely article over him. He was an amazing friend and man. Never EVER argued about going to iraq. I think the only think most said was "I want to be home. I miss it there.
