A 3-year-old tells all from his mother's rest-room stall. By Shannon Popkin My little guy, Cade, is quite a talker. He loves to communicate and does it quite well. He talks to people constantly, whether we're in the library, the grocery store or at a drive-thru window. People often comment on how clearly he speaks for a just-turned-3-year-old. And you never have to ask him to turn up the volume. It's always fully cranked. There've been several embarrassing times that I've wished the meaning of his words would have been masked by a not-so-audible voice, but never have I wished this more than last week at Costco. On Sunday night, my dad informed me that we will be moving by the end of the year. The people who own where we live now have decided to let the residents buy the places they live in. THAT MEANS THEY GET TO PAINT NOW! YAY! But thats besides the point. Unfortunately, my parents opted not to. So we are going to be moving. Its unsure where we will be going though. One thing I do know, is after Jan 1st, I will be in a new house. It could be in Tacoma still or as far as Centralia. I dont think I wanna move that far, that means I wont get to see my friends anymore and will have to change colleges (AGAIN!). And I would know NO-FUCKIN-BODY! We moved only 5 years ago, but it was from down the street from where we are now. Before that I was in NY, leavin my friends out here behind for "so-called" friends in New York. So I am hoping we find a house to own or an apartment to rent up in either Tacoma/Lakewood/Spanaway so that none of the above has to occur. Laters, I will update this

Need all the angel prayers that we can get for the victims in Ft. Hood. A cousin of my daughters friend is in that area and they have not been able to reach them. Caa1 - Update
Angel's niece will be okay. She does have some broken bones, and scratches and will need continuing prayers for healing. I have been told, though have not seen, that viewing the picture of the car she was in there must have been angels watching over her. I definitely know that we had angels watching and praying for her last night, and the family sends their thanks and thank you for continued prayer as she heals from these injuries. I would also like to thank you all for your continuing efforts all the time, always giving of yourselves and your time for others. Doc

Caa3 - Update
The power of prayer. Heard from my friend this morning. She had gone to her Doctor for the test results. He was puzzled and can't explain how her throat is healing, but it is. This is so Great. She has to go for a scope in 6 months, but so far so good. Thank all of you who continues to pray for everyone here. She also told me to thank all of you for your prayers. Let's keep them up for together with God's help we can do miracles. I also want to thank all of you for your time and prayers. It is you love and compassion that makes a difference. Doc

Caa #23 - Update
One thing need to clarify it was only one ankle that he broke. He came out of surgery today from having his kidney removed, they think it was just on this one kidney and so far all indications are that he may not have to undergo chemo. His wife said the surgery went better than expected and he is resting comfortably. He said to tell all he really appreciates all the prayers. Doc

I have just heard back that so far everything is going well for her and she wanted to thank you all, as do I. We must always remember though, the prayers are ours, the actions and miracles are of God and His will, no matter what may happen. Just heard back from my friend, it seems that her niece has contracted an infection and with the diagnosis and antibiotics, is being released from the hospital. Have heard back and Michael has made it through the surgery and is doing okay. Still, there will be need of continued prayers for recovery as this takes a lot out of a person. Thank you from his caregiver and family, and me also. Doc

Caa #54 - Update
Please keep in prayers, have been updated on what happened. Seems that their truck was t-boned hitting the daughters side (she was the passenger). Other driver ran a red light. She has cuts on her face, but right now she is still unconscious from the accident. Dr. thinks it is due to shock, so we are waiting, but there does not appear to be anything major for right now. Will keep everyone updated. Doc

Caa #54 Update-2
Just hear this morning that she had woke up at 4 AM my time. There are some cuts from the shattered window and bruising, but no broken bones or any other injuries. Like to thank all of those for their prayers, and ask for continnued angel prayers of healing. Doc

She has been awake and is talking. The doc says that if she continues to improve she may be released tomorrow (Saturday). Let us continue our prayers, and the family tells me to say thanks and send love to all that are praying for them. Doc

Caa #23 - Update#2
Good evening Angels, Angels in Training, volunteer angels and others that come to my humble blog, welcome. Pray is an amazing thing and a lot of times we are asked to pray for someone or something, especially here on my angel blog, and may never know what happens. Except in a few rare instances. This is on of them, my friend at work, for those who have not seen, had fallen of the roof and broke his ankle. Somewhere during this they found out his kidneys were failing, one of them had cancer and it had to be removed. Though he lost a kidney, they are almost 100% sure they got it all and he returned back to work this past Monday, looking good, lost a lot of weight, bu still looks healthy. He sent me an email for all the people that donated sick time to him , and kept him and his family in prayer to say thank you. So on behalf of my friend and coworker, I wish to extend his thanks to all of you out there, our prayers really did make a difference. Love and thanks, to God

Caa #62 - Update #1
Quick update on this darling little girl. First I got her name wrong (multitasking did this) her name is Rosa Gail. She is 6 lbs., but her lungs are not fully developed. The doctors said this was what was causing the shortness of breath and is normally seen in really small birth-weight babies. They are thinking that the lungs should develope over the next 3 days to 2 weeks. They will keep her on the feeding tube during this time and keep monitoring her closely. The Great Aunt told me to tell everyone thank you and God Bless you. Will keep everyone updated as I hear more.

Rosa is home! Rosa is home! Just heard from my angel that Rosa is at home now and is eating on her own. Let us continue to keep this little miracle in our prayers, because she is everyone's angel. We all here would like to thank you for the support and prayers. His dad told me to personally thank you all for your prayers, as did his mom and step-mom. To the update! After waiting for the Doctors all night to view the MRI's and what else was going on, after the swelling and cleanup it was not as bad as they had feared. Still do not know the extent of the injury (his dad will update me later), but he is in a neck brace for a couple of weeks and was released earlier this morning. Addysan is a fighter!! She is doing better today and is scheduled for an MRI tomorrow to check on the fluid in the brain. If everything goes well, she might be going home in 4 to 5 days. Thank you all for your continued prayers and Mare and the family thank you also. Love Doc

Though Addysan is gaining weight, the Doctor is still worried about the fluid on her brain not draining as fast as they would like. They have scheduled surgery for Tuesday, February 16th. Please keep her in angel prayers of healing and love. Love, Doc

Just heard back that it is good news. It was not a stroke but a siezure due to extreme;y low sodium levels. They are switching her meds and watching her but she is coherent and aware of everything, sothat is good news. Thank you all for your prayers, they worked wonders. Love, Doc

Caa #141 Update
He suffered a concussion and nerve damage, but the doctor said that he will be okay. He is looking forward to competing in two to three weeks as long as the doctor releases him. It seems that he was expecting the bull to move left, and he was sitting for it to do just that, but the bull went right, and when it went up the horn (sawed down, thank God) hit him in the head, thus the concussion. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers and pray for his continued recovery. Love, Doc

I broke my own rule about not mentioning anyone name here unless they approved first, but many of us here knew Whitney aka kept in corsets. I did not know her as well as a lot of my friends did. Cabbage Rolls With summer ending and all the fresh produce available... This is a recipe I've used for years... Prep Time: 30 Minutes Cook Time: 9 Hours Ready In: 9 Hours 30 Minutes Yields: 6 servings "Cabbage leaves stuffed with ground beef, onion and rice, covered in a sweet and tangy tomato sauce and cooked in a slow cooker." INGREDIENTS: 12 leaves cabbage 1 cup cooked white rice 1 egg, beaten 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup minced onion 1 pound extra-lean ground beef 1 1/4 teaspoons salt 1 1/4 teaspoons ground black pepper 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce DIRECTIONS: 1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil cabbage leaves 2 minutes; drain.{ I normally steam mine} 2. In large bowl, combine 1 cup cooked rice, egg, milk, onion, ground beef, salt, and pepper. Place about 1/4 cup of meat mixture in center of each cabbage leaf, and roll up, tucking in ends. Place rolls in slow cooker.

It was bitter cold. There was a fierce wind coming off the mountains and snow was already falling. Although I put little trust in the weatherman, I knew we were going to see some snow and possibly a lot of it. It always amazes me how soft falling snow can lull you into oblivion then leave you stranded and fighting for your life the next. Cabin Fever - Not Yet Finished
Mid-winter. There's snow everywhere, and more freshly falling in the moonlight. If you look up the hill you can spot my cabin in a small blot of thin woods. [Begin rant] Ok. So. I have basic cable in my apartment for "free". Well I paid a lot of money for a flat panel HDTV and the analog cable channels look shitty.
