I just attended my best friends funeral today. And seeing him in thatcasket made me realize how short and precious life is. Food, Wonderful Food
For dinner last night I made a dish from my childhood. It is SIMMERED LION'S HEAD. No, it doesn't have any lion meat in it, rather the final dish should resemble a lion head (in an artsy fartsy way.) It is also a dish served on high occasions, as it contains enough meat to peasant feed a family for a week. It has relatively few ingrediants and should be enjoyed for the richness and simplity of the dish. SIMMERED LION'S HEAD 2 lbs ground pork 1 T rice wine or dry sherry 1/2 t salt 1/2 t msg 1 T sugar 1 T minced green onion 1 T minced ginger 1 egg 2 T corn starch Combine the above with the pork and mix well. My Mom would tell you to mix in one direction only, don't ask why, just do it! If the meat is lean add up to 3 T water. Now make a slurry of the following: 2 T soy 1 T corn starch 2 T water Divide the meat into 8 equal portions and form into meatballs, big meatballs. Then, coat the meatball with the slurry. This will give the meatballs color. Now fry them

Bear Raids Pot Farm
Garfield County Sheriff Danny Perkins says they got some unexpected help from a large black bear. Perkins says the bear raided an illegal pot farm. Deputies found pipes chewed in half, cans with bear teeth marks and food containers torn apart. Perkins says repeated visits by the bear apparently scared off the pot growers. Deputies found nearly 900 young marijuana plants. Sheriff Perkins jokes he might deputize the bear if he can find it.

As we all know, school pretty much sucks. Either the subject is boring or the professor is a moron. At the moment I happen to be in the latter though can't seem to do wrong. I love the class subject. Always wanted to learn Web Design and now I get to. Doing good so far, and oddly enough, I would have to fail every assignment from now til the end of the class to get anything less than an A overall. Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for Athena the wonder dog at Wal-Mart and was about to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? Wake The Demon

1981 Yamaha Xs400 "bobber"
So the work started on the conversion to bobber. I eliminated the shocks and will be replacing them with a solid strut making it a hard tail. The shocks measure 12.5" from bolt to bolt and the new distance I have is 9". Seems like its lowered alot more then that though. I found a site online that makes some pretty nice Springer front ends that I plan to get for $345+shipping. Got the dust cover that I lost already ordered. Should be here sometime this week so I can get the front end put back together for now. Tested the starter earlier and its working fine, so its the starter switch assembly thats fucked. Replacement for that is $82. Still have to get a rear tire for the bike before I can finalize the distance for the struts. My ex's uncle told me he would do the welding a while back, need to get ahold of him to see if he'll still do it. I plan to have a suicide shifter on this aswell. Omg! My Dad Is Crazy!
Apparently my dad was in line for trains or he's just so addicted to McDonalds! In a hurry to get McDonald's he drives right through this intersection at Warren Woods and Pardee Roads in Berrien County, Galien, Michigan. He drove straight through on Pardee Rd going North. You could turn and go Left as that the higher corner. The water was over the top of his car! He drives a 1996 Chevy Caprice which is a good size car! He's just damn lucky the car didn't stall which surprised me! We just hope he's learned his lesson. He didn't think the water was that deep. That just goes to show you all don't think or judge how deep water is over a road way. It only takes a few inches of rapidly moving water to cause your vehicle to float/drift away with the current. So please use caution when driving through water there may even be a big wash out that you can't see. If I can't see the center yellow line I don't go through and if it's going over a bridge or nearby a creek

On the 21st of Aug I received a Phone call form the National Bone Marrow Donor program wanting permission the do further test on a sample I had give 14 years ago When my son lost his life waiting for a Liver transplant well he did not get one. Well anyway I gave them the go a head for more testing in the beginning I never thought anything would come of it at all, Boy was I surprised to find out that I was a match for a 41 year old Man. Hurricane Ike Struck !
Well... we saw it coming....we knew it was on the way... I was out of town all week... the impending loom of the hurrican headed right for Houston..... My Mother!
My mother is a strong willed,loving,talented and can be honest to the point of bring someone to tears,kind of woman. I love her to death! I live with my sister helping take care of our mom. Returning Home From Ike
Thanks to all of you who have sent well wishes and phone calls to see if I and my family are ok. We did survive the storm.. and came back on Sunday to see mass destruction everywhere. I will be posting photos soon in my photo gallery. Mass destruction is everywhere in my area. Whole neighborhoods are destroyed. 40 Persons known dead at the moment with more search and discovery on going. The area in which I live has suffered total losses of homes, and all belongings. FEMA is starting to come in to help to give us ice, and non perishable foods, as most of us have lost all foods that were in fridges and freezers. Needless to say that the losses of material possessions is devastating, however, I am thankful to God for keeping so many of us safe. If anyone who reads this is a lawyer i need your advice. I was involved in a Hit and Run Accident on Sept. 3 of this year. The cops told me that i needed to call and check on my case and see if they caught the guy. Well i called several times and the same officer has sat there and told me there is nothing that he can do bc of the fact that they can not pin point the guy that hit me at the scene of the accident. Well my question is if they have the mans name, his address, and the rest of the insurance information can't they do something about it??? Ty Hurricane Ike!

This has been a long time coming and it looks like she will be gone from here in a few short weeks. She has been fighting her cancer since December 2005. It started in her breasts and now is in her stomach,liver,lungs and god knows where else. The dr has given her 3-4 wks to live. My mom died of cancer which started in her cervix and uterus and eventually went to her lungs and wrapped around her spinal cord which paralyzed her right before she died. I watched my mom died when I was just 8 yrs old. After she died I was in denial for a few years that she was really gone. I knew but I didnt want to believe it. I am going to NC to see my grandma one more time. I dont want to go after she's gone, to see her laying in that casket. I want to remember all the wonderful things about her. I want to hug her one more time, and tell her thank you for being the kick ass grandma that she was. When I was down and out, she was the one in my corner telling me I was better than that.

My sister in law Kandi my mother in law and my youngest daughther was in a wreck about 45 minutes ago. A 18 wheeler truck slammed in to the car and smashed the driver side in. The car flipped over into a ditch. My mother in law is ok and my daughter seems to be. But Kandi is being cut out of the car as I type this. She was stuck and her legs twisted. The last time mom talked to her outside the car she was crying hysterically and then just lost consciousness. I will update later. Please pray for her. She is in surgery. I was cought up in that awful wind storm that went through Ohio last Sunday. We had downed power lines and trees all around our house. Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, the California Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours. Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flakey at times, he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions. Update On My Dad And My Life
currently i am still in school. i should be done by next fall. hopefully by that time i will have my own place, i really thinking on leaving Charlotte. things with my dad are slowly getting worse n worse his condition is worsening every day. its now our job to make sure he is eating cause he not eating if we don't. it sucks to know that i am going to lose my dad. Dreams
In my dream I see myself walking down a long dark hallway. I can hear people talking, children laughing, everyday life all around me. I come to several windows and see my friends and family enjoying each other and enjoying life. I see myself in the midst of it all, a smile upon my face but my eyes revel the sadness I'm truly experiencing. I continue to walk down the dark hallway but it seems like the walls are slowly closing in the further down I go. Soon I'm at the end of the hallway and there is a door. New Beverly Cinema
Los Angeles peeps, if you're into film at all and you haven't yet experienced the New Beverly Cinema you are totally missing out! I've become quite a fan of this quaint little theater since Seth Green introduced it to me during a screening of the Coen Brothers films "Barton Fink" and "Miller's Crossing". You never know who will be sitting in the same aisle as you while you watch old favorites that you never thought would see the silver screen again. I recently saw "Reservoir Dogs" with classic trailers and a Tom and Jerry cartoon to boot and thought it was amazing. Good day and good by I thought I would drop my friends a note to explain why I am no longer around. Just so you know I am not ignoring you all. The primary reason is the fact work is calling me away again. I doubt I will have either the time or the ability for the next year or so to be coming on FURBAR.
