So, talked to John and he filled me in on whats going on over there in Afghanistan, hes been outside the wire (outside Kaf -the main camp) since the second week in October, and as far as he knows he is going to be out there till at least December 12th before his coy is going to get some relief. His days are spent digging and sandbagging..fun i know..He said the place is starting to look like a sandbag fortress!! Must be quite a sight - cant wait to see the pictures he took. Since he has been out there theres no computers, no phones, showers or even REAL FOOD..these poor guys sleepin on the ground, eating rations for 2 months, not being able to shower properly or keep in touch with loved ones like everyone else. They havent been getting their mail or their care pkg's because its too hard for the drivers to get everything out to them safely..remember they are front line infantry troops.. Ok. so I met someone on here. All she had to talk about, at first was her cousin, which i thought was odd in and of itself. she didn't ask me anything. just started talking about her cousin. Then, we start talking about music. She lists: Britney Spears, Prince, Patti Labelle, and some others. I tell her, I don't like most of what she listens to, based on that sampling.
