Stupid Parents!!
Why is it that whenever parents screw up they try to blame everyone but themselves. Most people wont have noticed this but many OTC medications geared towards kids under 6 have recently been pulled off the shelves by the FDA. Why you might ask?? Because parents are IDIOTS and are self-dosing and their kids are OD'ing and then they are blaming everyone except for their stupid selves. They read the packaging that specifically tells them the ages in which it is for and yet they continue to give to children under that age without first speaking with a doctor. Why should the drug manufactuers have to reformulate all these medications? It isnt their fault parents are idiots and refuse to read directions. So remember the next time you have a sick kid, wether it be a son, daughter, brother, sister, cousin or whatever.... dont be a dumb ass and give the child anything unless the box says you can.

Kids
Lately I have found myself being kept busy by my grand-daughter. Last night ric and I both received invites from her to join bebo. I haven't joined but have checked out the site today. It's not somewhere my ten year old grandchild needs to be. I talked to her mom, my daughter, today about it. It seems when the babysitter is there my grandchildren do quite a few things they aren't supposed to. One Year Anniversary!!
Tuesday is mine and my fiance one year anniversary and I am so stoked. This is the first relationship where I am happy to be with someone for a year and nothing bad has happened. Ok a New year and new goals. It wasn't long ago, or maybe it was. When I had DDP (Diamond Dallas page) on the show. He talked about this great revolutionary thing called YRG (Yoga for Regular Guys) and he was talking how this low impact thing was being used by people like Kurt Angle, NFL Football guys, Lee Marshall and many others. I thought yeah but most of them guys are already Athletes. What about someone like me? He sent me the stuff but I was already on a diet and thought I am doing fairly well on my own, so I put it away. I lost a total of 80 pounds on my diet. Well as all diets go, I got stressed and put on about 30. so December 31st 2007 I put my Diet back in action and lost 15 at this point. Many of you may or may not know this but by day I sell technology. Yes I am a Computer Geek and not afraid of using the technologies I sell. Of course if you think about it, loo0k at some of my toys. I own a Hybrid Car. I have a fairly advanced Wireless network in my house. I was doing Computerized Rock back the 80's (Before it was common). Fast Forward to the TTRS on 2/12/08. We had a fairly bad storm and I was late getting to the studio. The Show started about 15 minutes late. Trish wasn't able to get there due to the snow. Oh boy, flying solo. Everything seemed to be going fairly smoothly. First interview with Jaden went off without a hitch. Massive Mike is on and the connection wasn't the greatest, but it was usable. The Show usually goes till around 10PM – 10:30 depending on the guest. Its now about 9:45 and I start hearing this beep, beep noise. As annoying as it seemed, I kept going. Good Morning all.... Well, last night at work was one of the toughest that a nurse has to face. We had a patient whose health was declining for about 5 days. She lived a good life though, she was 100 years old. It was a very difficult night to say the least. It was my first work realted death. No one ever prepares or teaches you how to deal with this when you are training to be a nurse. No one tells you how best to deal with the patient or the family or your peers for that matter. The lonliness I felt for this woman was almost overwhelming. I notified family, but suprisingly no one wanted to come and be with her in her final moments. So, who does that leave....ME. Daily Musings
Well, I had my first horse show on Saturday Feb 9th. For starters, I was nervous as hell. Just like your first time driving, or your first day of high school, or hell even college...You're not really scared (well, some aren't), just nervous. It's a new experience, one you've never had before only heard about. Throughout the day I had 5 different people offer me a beer to calm my nerves, and Mel even offered me a Valium, lol. It was Georgia's first time at a show as well. It was a new place for her, a new experience and for the most part she did well. She wasn't used to be ridden for more than an hour or so a day, but she was a trooper, and except for a few kinks she did well. I rode her for about 2 hours all the while trying to clam my nerves. On top of being nervous, I do not do well in big crowds, especially when I'm the center of attention. Everyone came up to me throughout the day complimenting me or talking to me about my horse. I was asked today by my SO why I have seemed so angry lately and why I seemed to pull away from her lately. I am currently 500 miles away from her and didn't want to go over it on the phone. Today I get a phone call from my niece that lives in Roff Ok. Snow Keeps Piling Up
On Feb. 17, 2008 a total of 0.93 of liquid precipitation fell by 11 am when it switched over to snow which fell steadily till 3:30 pm. Strong winds blew the 2.8" of snow around and there were whiteouts in the rural areas. Some of te roads drifted shut again. The barometer fell to a low of 29.05" which is the 2nd lowest reading ever recored for the month of February. The total snowfall for February stands at 34.0" which is also our 2nd snowiest month ever. Only January total stands at 67.7". We set a daily record for precipitation on Feb. 17 with 1.20". Our 34.0" for the first 17 days of February is also a new record for any month. While the first half of February was below normal, last year, the first 15 days were over 14 degrees colder. The first 10 days saw below readings. With 3.84" of precipitation so far this month, we are now in 2nd place for the wettest February, only 2001 with 4.19" had more.

Life's Lessons
Tonight I was playing video games in the truck stop and I kept hearing someone making noises that sounded like they were having their own one person party. I turned to look and saw a little chubby Mexican guy playing the free machine. He was hooping it up every time that his little game character did anything, including dieing. I kind of shook my head and chuckled. That's when he noticed me laughing and decided to talk to me. Long story short, in his broken English, he gave his life story to me over dinner. He had only recently became a citizen in the US. He worked 41 years of his adult life to be here legally. He told me of his struggles in Mexico, and the things he and his family had gone through to do things the right way. Some of the stories he told brought tears to my eyes. To sum it all up, and not bore you to tears, the man made me take a minute to be thankful for the life I have. I think we should all meet someone like Alejandro at least once in our life just to remind us

"What a Loser He Turned Out to Be..." . If only I was able to collect some monetary fee every time I had to hear that line. Hell, I'd be charging myself just as much as I would my friends. The thing that's most interesting about that statement is that he didn't "turn out" to be a loser. He always was one. We just didn't see it until reality was slapping us in the face. It's really hard to believe that a whole year has passed since I wrote a blog about this subject, but it has! He didn't make it, and passed later that day. Last year both my son's and I want to the 1st Walk Now for Autism. This year, my family, friends and I are Walking For Kevin!! Kevin was Autistc, but was the nicest, happiest young man I ever have known. My son was always happy, loved to give you a hug and a kiss. He was always there from me, when Dad was down.
