DEMP Class 6/26/08 Time for a little alphabet soup. My local dive shop offers an option as part of their rescue program. They call it the ultimate rescue diver. It consists of three courses, EFR (Emergency First Responder or CPR), the PADI Rescue Class, and then the DAN DEMP class. Having completed the first two, I did the DEMP class this week. DEMP, or Diving Emergency Management Provider as tought by my shop is actually a collection of five classes bundled together. O2 provider, Advanced O2 provider, AED, First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life and On-site Neurological assessment. It is taught over two nights. The class began with a review of CPR. Most of us had just done the EFR class, so this went fairly rapidly. Then we moved into the Automated External Defibrillators(AED), integrating that into the CPR process. on the 19th of november we had a very close family members father pass away and, at the same time i was in sacramento with my daughter as she was trying to give birth, in which she finally had to have a c section and our baby was born with problems, now in my heritage of native american, when one old soul/spirit passes there's a birth for that spirit to go to, but you see my dilema is this i was not able to be there with my best friend to comfort him when he needed his friends and at the same time i was where my child needed me to be, i just dont think that i can get passed the feelings of guilt. Losing A Relative..
My grandmother died when I was 19 yrs. old. I found her one moring in April 1996. To this day, I still dont like to talk about it, because it makes me sad. If only, I had gotten up earlier, maybe I could have saved her... My grandmother was someone I cuould talk to about anything and everything. She put everyone first befor herself. I need to find something to add to brown rice that will add flavour without filling it with fat, salt, and empty calories. Today is the kind of Monday that you think "ugh,,,it's Monday, do I have to get up?" I didn't sleep at all last night. My stomach hurt all night long and kept me awake. I should be one of two places this weekend partying my ass off for St. Patrick's Day. The plan is to head down to New Orleans, but things aren't looking so bright for it. well it's been 2 months that i have not had my son with me. I went to court on Jan. 11th and they told me i had to go to parenting classes, take a drug test, do med. mangament and alot of of things before i get him back. well i have been doing everything that they told me to do. For those of you unaware, mead it fermented honey, much like wine if fermented grapes. I brew mead. I'm also going to try an experiment this weekend. I'm going to throw on a batch of vegetable mead, with carrots, squash and likely sweet potatoes. All are wonderful with both honey and each other, therefore there shouldn't be any problem with it tasting 'funny'. All I need to do is pick up both the carrots, a purply-red varietal grown here and the4 sweet potatoes. Should turn a lovely dark purple colour. Otherwise, I have on batches of maple-blueberry, lemon-lime, lemon-ginger, apple (made with a local varietal of apple called a viking), strawberry, pear, holly berry, grape, and cherry... Recently a routine police patrol parked outside a bar in punta gorda,Florida after last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so apparently intoxicated that he could barely walk. After what seemed an eternity in which he tried his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car and fall into it. New Job
Hello everyone. I started a new job at a sugar beet factory in Northwest Minnesota. I'm working as a process technician at Crystal Sugar. I'm starting out as a general labor person but I will be trained in four different areas within the first 45 days. Soon I can bid on new jobs and I will be able to advance within the company. When Is It My Turn
I have been through two marriages and several relationships. Each one a failure or something went wrong on my part. Okay. A little about me. I'm a British soldier currently working with the US Army in Tampa. Don't know very many people here and am looking for party and social invites so that I can get to know some people and have some fun while I am here. I am laid back, honest and will try almost anything once. I have travelled all over Europe and have worked in the Middle East. I speak a little Dutch, German and French. (just enough to get by. To Much Thinking In One Day....

As many of you know.... I am a work-a-holic!! That is probably an understatement as well. I live for my work. I have given up a lot for it as well. Most people dont understand why I do what I do, hell I am not sure I fully understand it. I met a wonderful person a while ago. I fell in Love with her. but I couldnt step away from my work enough for her. I dont know if I made the right choice (actually I am sure I didnt)but it is who I am. Work, that is.... If we moved ahead it would have been a struggle between the demand of my work and the demand of her. Baby Kaleb Update
Monday, October 29, 2007 My Miracle Kaleb is changing so much everyday! I look at pictures of him in the hospital and he looks like a little baby. It's like I just woke up one day and he is a little boy. He doesn't look like a baby anymore. Being able to see this makes me so thankful... He is such a miracle. We have great news! Kaleb is going to getting Hyperbaric Chamber Treatments three times a week. PRAISE GOD! All treatments are thanks to Harch Hyperbarics. This chamber regenerates cell growth and can stimulate nerve cells. This is usually very expensive and most health insurances will not cover it. Life Or Something Like It 2
My son has not had very good luck with his cell phone lately. I got him one about 2 years ago when he was 10. He needed it so I could call him and know where he was if I needed to get a hold of him. It was more for me then for him. He did really well with it for the first year and a half. Never lost it and kept it in good condition. Until....September. His brother told me that Christopher's phone was broken. So, I have insurance on the boy's phones which is probably a rip off. I pay $3.99 a month to have the insurance and you can only use it 2 times within a year. When you do lose a phone or it gets broken, you call and they send you a refurbished one! They charge you $50 for the phone and charge you $36 for turning the phone back on. So I did this, get the phone and then Christopher tells me his old phone isn't broken. Anthony just thought it was. The Challenge...
No pics in this post but I tokk them today for a baseline. About a year and a half ago picked up some kettlebells because i was tired of always havin a sore back and knees I've coasted on the serious weighliting i had done over 12 yrs ago. I;ve actually gained weight sinec i started, but my leg's chest and back have started filling out again and my gut has shrunk. So here'e the dilemna, a guy I work with is carrying a huge gut and all sorts of excess weight and he's lost a few pounds since he's started dieting, but i mean literally just a few and now he's getting really obnoxious about it. I'm wanting to take his assitude and use it as motivation for me to really trim up make a work out schedule watch my diet and see if i can't make a six pack out of my case. Religion In The Schools
My kids' school will not allow the kids to dress up for Halloween or have a party because they say it is a religious holiday and they don't want to offend anyone else's religious beliefs. They also will not allow xmas parties anymore for the same reason. This pisses me off! They want to keep religion out of the school to keep from offending anyone, but they force our kids to say "one nation under god" in the pledge of allegiance?!?!?! What kind of double standard bullshit is that? I'm agnostic. It offends me for them to make my kids say that, but I'm not crying at the school to make them take it out. When I was in school, we got to dress up and have a party at Halloween. We had xmas parties too. It was fun.
