A lot of people that I am friends with do not know that I'm Type 1 diabetic. I tend to hide it from people because of their judgments towards me. A few friends know that I am one but not all of them. Good Morning and welcome to Hump day! Wow what in the world did my girl Ellen get herself into? Have you seen that story on the Pooch she took from a rescue shelter and then after it did not work out with other facets of Ellens lifestyle at home she decided to give it to her hairdresser and her children. In a casual text message conversation just now, one of my Fubar friends and a member of my bomber family, Mandah, was telling me how she was standing outside in the snow waiting for her mom to come pick her up. One of the things that tend to pop into my head a lot is this. What would of happened if I would of made a right instead of of left. Back in may I looked at my self and thought you are fat! I decided to do something about it. I looked at what I had been doing and found my pit falls. Just like any one that has gotten fat, we do this. We get lazy, yeah lazy. I also never did aerobics exercise just lifted weights, dumb. I also ate like a pig, to excess and never the right things. Well i was pleasantly suprised, she was neither rude nor mean. She told me point blank that i need to lose weight, which DUH i know...lol So she gave me lists of things...and a guideline of how much of what to eat, seems straightforward enough. I'm pleased that she didn't expect me to go out and buy special foods, just alot of veggies....which i knew i would have to. Well, its not like anyone reads these things but I feel better writting stuff out. I went hiking Sunday with a few girls. I know I am a big girl, but I really didn't realize how out of shape I was until I tried to hike up all these stairs at Starved Rock. So that was my motovation to start getting into shape and making myself healthy again. I am sick of being that fat chick that none of the guys want to date. Maybe thats why I am still single. I don't know. And don't think I am doing this just because society says I should be skinny. I am doing it for myself, to make myself feel better. I am just sick of being so over weight. I meet guys and they seem to not want to talk to me after they meet me for the first time (aside from one so far). Am I that fat and disgusting? I would like to think that I am not, but maybe, just maybe I am. I just don't feel good about myself anymore. It makes me depressed to think about it really, that people can only judge me by the way I look.

yesterday I started my diet. Did really good,,and I have even started exercising. Usually I do go loosing weight just by dieting..but feel like I need to start getting more in shape. We just rode 4 miles..wasn't to bad..but hard on the butt. LOL. I was very tired..after being up at 5 for work..then after work..had to go back in for a 2hour meeting. Diet And Mother-in-law
Despite not having the best week, between preparing for MIL's visit, having a fight with hubby and cheating on my diet right after the fight, missing my walk twice due to bad weather, etc., I still managed to lose 2 more lbs. I have found that the key to weight loss, with lasting results is to eat higher protien meals that allow your body to use its own fat storage as fuel. I have limited the carbs in the afternoon unless my workout falls in the afternoon but really taper them off going to bed. I try to eat at least 8 times per day with 6 being the min. mBreakfast by far is still my largest meal, but the calorie content is low.

Diet And Exercise
Okay mostly diet because I still have my sciatic pain. Trying an acai cleanse and Zantrex 3 that I bought at the store for around $30. Both seem to be working however, the Zantrex was too strong and I was jittery yesterday and ended up with a headache that lasted all night and part of this morning. Met my girlfriend for sushi last night, tiger rolls and salmon rolls, wore my polka dot dress because it's hot here and it doesn't look like a mumu. Was feeling blah until we went to karaoke and was told I was hot by several guys...yeah it was after 10 and they were most likely drunk but they were cute and I'll take what I can get :P Oh and ran into a customer from the club I used to dance at and he said I looked great and asked when I was going back to work. Just found out from the nutritionist that my triglycerides were 588 and my cholesterol was 280 ... way to high for both areas. Starting tomorrow morning I am on the same diet that my husband has been on for a month and he is detoxing and losing weight like crazy. 2 berry smoothies with protein powder, organic plain yogurt and flax seed and scrambled eggs for dinner. with nuts for a snack along with carrot sticks. I have to start exercising now too ... I hate to exercise. It has done wonders for my husband and now I am going to try it and see what happens when I have my blood drawn again in 6 weeks.

Well I am on the road to healthy weight loss and being more active. The worse is all the measuring and the weighing in and knowing that if I am to make this work I have to cut out all alcohol and all sugary, fatty, non-healthy, non-essential foods. The Difficulty Continues...
I feel like I am a part of Dave's life from a distance. We have agreed to back off some and talk a little less out of respect for me and Mike. We still talk on the phone occasionally and online some. I have asked him if this is just useless spinning our wheels....will anything be able to come of us while I am with Mike from the inside or even on the outside with Mikes knowledge and consent? Dave feels that if we want it bad enough we will find a way to make it ok with all of us. Why my ex wants to call me now and on a Sunday? he wants to talk and act like nothing happened. I am so mad because I can't just stop liking a person but I was hoping that he would just not call and this way I can get my old feelings out the way.....Noooooooo he wants to call and be nice.
