New Month New Company New Face
Ok well I guess to start I have been workin as a web designer, office manager for MESSCO USA. Honestly its been quite a wild ride. However now there is a whole new face turning. We are revamping the company. Which should be fun seeing as I am Office Manager which means most of the new things going on have to go through me as I am the main contact between customers and our company. So today at the morning meeting I got a list of my new objectives. Lol I came home called my mom and was like omg I wont be able to take a dump with out having the computer on my damn lap and the phone in my hand lol. She's the one that got me all the extra work. So, this is a whole new month. Another month added to my life. July. 2008. My life just seems to keep progressing. And I don't know where it's going. I can't control it. And it really bothers me. Newman Agrees To Drive For Stewart-haas
Posted: July 30, 2008 Sporting News staff report Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 12 Penske Dodge, has agreed verbally to drive for Stewart-Haas Racing next season, according to ESPN.com sources. The 30-year-old has been in limbo for a 2009 driver's seat since declaring that he and Penske Racing were parting ways. Joe Gibbs Racing President J.D. Gibbs confirmed Sunday that Newman was not being considered for a ride at JGR next season. Once a deal is signed, Newman will drive the No. 4 car, and two-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart will be in the No. 14 for Stewart-Haas. Stewart spokesman Mike Arning told ESPN.com that talks are ongoing with several drivers and that "any verbal agreement with a particular driver is premature." One factor that makes the deal more attractive for Newman would be that his former Penske crew chief, Matt Borland, who guided Newman to 12 of his 13 Cup victories, is currently the competition director at Stewart-Haas.

New 'mum' Update ......
Hi I hope you are well and having a good week. I am still having tremendous support from some really great friends on here so i thought i would give you the latest update on my mum's battle with cancer. She was still struggling with her breathing after the latest chest infection that landed her in hospital but she was coping with the help of her nebuliser which she was using 4 times a week. The thing she was really struggling with though is the terrible fatigue. She is so tired she is fighting to stay awake in the afternoon and evenings and this is getting her 'down'. On Monday the had some bad pains in one of her arms and hand and within a couple of hours she had lost all use of the arm and hand. As you can imagine she was terrified so we got to the hospital but the doctors don't really know why this has happened. Her chemo session was cancelled today because there could be a connection with her chemo but she has to have a brain scan and some x-rays. She will be seeing

I got a new CPAP mask today. The old one (nasal pillows) let me open my mouth while I was sleeping. Therefore, the air would come in my nose and straight out my mouth. The new one is a "full face mask," meaning it covers my nose and mouth. Hopefully, it'll work better...

A New Me
Well I have done a lot of soul searching here the past few weeks. In doing this I have realized a lot about myself and my life. My happiness is due to the choices I make in life. Bad ones make life not so great and good ones make it effin awesome. I realize I have made some pretty bad choices in my life these past few years. I have beaten myself up a great deal for it. I have talked to a few of my newly found friends and realizr that I am only human. I make mistakes. They have also made me realize that I am a pretty awesome, sexy, smart, and funny woman who is one tough cookie. That everyone makes mistakes and that if people judge you for them than they suck and are not worth my time. Or are they worthy of my friendship, my heart, or time. I have 2 bands that I'm tryin' to get people to check out. The first one is KANE. They are a little country rock style band and the lead singer is actor Christian Kane {ANGEL}. Oh goodness. What Cinema Blend is reporting might be correct. It seems that there may indeed be a leaked draft of The Twilight Saga: New Moon script leaked on-line. Either that, or like Josh Tyler (writer over at CB) said, "someone has gone through an awful lot of trouble to write a 105 page fake." Not wanting to spoil it for myself, I took a brief glimpse at a few pages, and it was pretty good! The "second draft," it says on the first page, is from December 21, 2008, and it is claiming to be written by Melissa Rosenberg. Basically, it works the same way as the photo rating system. you can now rate someone every 7 days, and every 7 days (or anytime after that) you'll both receive full credit for the rating (including rating count). just as before, you can *always* re-rate anyone at anytime, but if it hasn't been 7 days you won't get any points/credit for it. previously, a member could only rate another member once... and that was it. i think this new way is more fun and gives everyone a reason to show their friends more love, more often. 2 New Noise-toys
Im sure that in America there are 12 step programs for people that collect musical instruments and other music related gear, here in Iceland there is however no such program to the best of my knowledge, therefore i will continue to be an active addict. I bought two new noise toys today, well they arent exactly new, i bought them second hand but anyway, they are new to me. I traded some kid my Morley wah/volume pedal for a Boss DS-1, i didnt really have any use for either the wah or what i traded it for but i will probably modify the Boss pedal to make it sound a little bit more interesting. I also bought a Aramat Mojo Fuzz for around a 100 dollars, this pedal truly kicks ass and after browsing the Aramat website i found out that the guy who made these pedals died a year ago and there wont be any more of these pedals made which makes this pedal rare and probably valuable not that i intend to sell it. So, all in all it was a pretty good day for me.

You know, how it is, if people belong to that kind of persons, who are always expecting the best - of others. Here we have found an example of this, so it happened today in an new opened restaurant, when I was there together with my husband and my kids. We went there and the service was okay, they made a good service for the kids and for us, and when we had paid, there was a couple, who called the owner. The plate would be dirty, the music would be too loud and the pasta would not be hot enough. Then they asked us to approve this. We didn't agree and said we would be satisfied with all. Then the couple left the restaurant and went away without paying their dinner. The owner was running behind them and asked them to pay the things they had ordered. 1 cup Shedd's Spread Country Crock® Spread 2 tsp. Lawry's® Garlic Powder With Parsley 1 tsp. onion powder 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves, crushed 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper 4 bone-in ribeye or shell steaks (about 8 oz. ea.) 4 ears corn-on-the-cob in husks, soaked in water In small bowl, blend Shedd's Spread Country Crock® Spread, Garlic Powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, paprika and cayenne pepper; chill. Well everyone the big move is just over that hill. My housemates loan came through and he is closing next week on wed. Now its off to New Orleans the week after to get settled in. I've just received this from Renate. I know these blogs are being read so will continue to post them. The mention of a stat in this one refers to the new email stationery she just made which I received the letter on. Gidday All. It's been ages since I finished a stat.... tho I do have a few 'almost' finished....lol... Even tho the chemo is not making me obviously ill... it is having an awful effect on me in other ways.... This week I went to Perth for the usual weekly chemo blast and after the blood tests came back.... the chemo session was cancelled....I had to have a unit of blood instead.... My Haemoglobin had dropped dramatically as had the platelets... and this was why I had no energy and no appetite.... Sleep and yawning was about I was any good for....lol... I drove to Perth on Thursday evening ... stayed with my daughter last week... but it's my sisters turn to have me this Thurs & Fri... and she doesnt like to be 'cheated' out of her 'weekend'....lol....lo

New Orleans Style Hot Sausage Patties
Makes: 4 servings Prep Time: 30 minutes Cook Time: 15 minutes Ready In: 45 minutes This is my take on New Orleans "Hot Sausage". I came up with this recipe a little less that 2 years ago. I've been in Wisconsin and when you want hot sausage, ya gotta have it... Ingredients 1 pound ground beef or pork 3 tbsp Paprika 1 1/2 tbsp Tony Chachere's seasoning 1/2 tsp chili powder 2 tbsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp crushed peppers 1 tbsp each - garlic powder and onion powder 1/3 cup cooking oil Directions For more "heat" add more crushed peppers and cayenne pepper). Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix by hand until everything is well mixed together. Form into "hamburger" patties and fry, as you would fry a hamburger. This maybe served on hamburger buns, white bread, but its best served on French bread dressed with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and ketchup. Patties may be frozen, recipe makes 4 patties.

This is always a big hit at casual dinner partys. I spread out newspaper for the tablecloth, use lots of oversized napkins (since this is a hands-on experience!) and serve lots of cold New Orleans beer. I also serve hot steamed rice for those that want their shrimp on top. I usually make two desserts--bread pudding and banana pudding, along with chicory coffee. New Outlook On Life
Well, after Sunday, I have a new outlook on life. I am VERY thankful I am alive. Sunday morning I was on my way to work when I hit a patch of ice on the interstate and rolled my company pickup. I was wearing my seatbelt thank god. It was the scariest thing I have ever been thru in my life. I could have been seriously hurt! I walked away with bumps, scrapes, and bruises. If I would have rolled another time, I probably would have been seriously hurt or even killed. That nite, I was laying there, dozed off, and I had an image of a truck smashing into something. I woke with a start and jumped out of bed, scared as shit. That's when it hit me. I sat and cried, thinking I could have left my daughter motherless. I really truely believe in angels now. My son Mattie was up there looking out for me and Melissa that day. I now realize that every day is a gift, you never know when you might not be here anymore. I plan to live my life to its fullest. As I sit here listening to the quiet sounds of the house, I have a lot of things on my mind. It seems like this year has just flew past. So much has happen this year . Lately I have been thinking about all the things that have happen this year . I’ve always been told you have to take the good with the bad, but does there always got to be so much bad ??? I recently bought a Maestro Echoplex tape delay unit from the early seventies, these things can be heard in action on older jamaican reggae songs, they used to run everything through these things, drums, guitars, vocals etc.. I also bought a Gibson Minuteman guitar amplifier from the sixties, its a Fender Pro Reverb copy and it sounds pretty damm good, they sure werent skimping on expensive components when they built this thing, it has an alnico speaker and tube driven reverb and tremelo, good shit! I love old gear, if its kept in good working condition it will sound much better than anything made today.

Yesterday(Monday) when I was pulling into town to get to our drive way off the highway, Hrothgar (my hubbie) was comen outside the front door, at first I thought he was going for the mail box but instead he was heading towards the car, clasping his chest, So me call 911 told them i was on my way to the hospital with him and what was going on with him, Passed 2 cops doing 80mph, ya i figure i would get a ticket but it would be worth it, got him to the hospital they got him stable and life flight him back to the Nebraska Heart hospital, by the time I got there they already checked the stint he just got 10 days ago and saw that it and another artery was completely blocked agian.... thanks to fucken VA refussing to fill his medications that he was to be on. 4:50pm I just found out some great news. The firm will be paying for our flights to and from Lousiana. This is a great thing. It means I get to save at least $400! Yes, I will be out there Thurs-Sun.
