"LOVE", What ever happened to it?

You know, some of you are not old enough to remember the simpler time in life. I was recently reminded by a post from a friend. The post was about, "Do you remember". It got me to thinking about what was really important. There were things like, lying on your back with a friend and looking at the clouds and saying, "what does that one look like", or, cartoons that weren't 30 minutes of advertisement for an action figure.....What ever happened to those days? I can only guess. First came the commute to work, gotta go where jobs are but don't want to give up that home in the suburb's. Ever notice, you don't spend alotta time in that suburban home anymore??? Then came the computer, well hell we all know what the fuck happened after that....WE"RE HERE!! We're so busy doing shit and fighting traffic that we gotta schedule a meeting with our family just to remember what they look like. Along with what i mentioned are numerous things i didn't mention, The one thing I will always mention is "LOVE"
:LOVE". We all say it's the number 1 thing on our list, but is it really??? Take a look at the last two weeks...What do you see?? Running to the store, countless times, pick up the cleaning, take the kids to soccer practice, had to work late...etc. You get the pic. In that 2 week period, can you say how many times you and your partner spent QUALITY time together? Not just, oh, your home, dinner is almost ready, or what's on tv, time....I mean real quality time, you remember. "How was your day...and really meant it, or really listen to what they had to say... really listened...... Cuddled on the couch and played silly ass games like you used to. Holding hands and kisses on the forehead. The little smile with a glance, that meant, "Hey, I'm really glad I'm here with you, don't ever leave...The shit LOVE is made of!!!!!! Sure, our intentions are good but seems we just don't have the time when the day is though....Well I got news for you, You better damn well make the time for LOVE!!!! The rest of the stuff that you can think of is bullshit compared to love. We all need to go back to a simpler time, when LOVE was king and nothing came close to it. We used to take the time for one another, why, because LOVE was there...I'm not sayin love isn't there, it's just taken for granted, over looked, misplaced, it's just out of order because of our fast paced life. People don't hold love as an honor anymore. It's not a right you get when you become an adult. You don't take a test and get certified.....you earn LOVE from someone. If your an asshole or a bitch, that superficial love you have ain't worth shit, better get it together or your fucked.....All I'm saying is slow down alittle, you don't have to put your life on hold for LOVE, just make a gap in it to let LOVE in. God, do we need LOVE??? I bet my life on it!!!! Do You??????
