I love me Mudder beyond words... but sometimes I could cheerfully give her a smack. She has this thing that nothing is good enough unless I am there. She drives my Sisters fucking insane blathering on about me and trying to force them to treat me like I am gods special gift that needs extra attention. My Sister was in town and when I saw her for the first time I felt a definite chill. When I was leaving she walked me out and I asked her what was up. She said I am sorry I was just so sick to death of hearing about you I was tired of your face before I saw it.
Mom had a FABULOUS 10 days with her. I saw them 5 times in those 10 days. Last week my phone went down for a few hours and I got 4 text messages from Bettty telling me to call Mom before she had heart failure and she had to hear one more fucking time of how worried Mom was bc I did not answer my phone. IT DRIVES ME NUTS !
Betty left on Wed ...Thursday I phoned Mom and asked how how her day was. I get in a small depressed voice this conversation
Mudder: "ohhhhh you know ... its soo sooo sooooo quiet"
Me: well is that not nice after a super busy 10 days ?
Mudder: well.... I have not talked to anyone all day and I have nothing going on coming up its very quiet and lonely
Me: (gritting my teeth bc I know she is working on having me drop everything and running over) Mom you have a whole community with in 4 min walking distance phone Missus Bischop or Ellen for coffee
Mudder: Ya maybe I will do that
Me: (changing the topic) it was a glorious sunny day today did you go for a walk?
Mudder: well no Corrie came for coffee in the morning then I did some housework
me: WHAT ????? you just said you have not talked to anyone ALL day
Mudder: ya well it was a VERY short visit
me: (gritting teeth harder) well I will see what is happening Friday I might have to do the night close but if not I will pick you up for dinner
Mudder: oh ... that would be nice but I am going to spend the night as Missus Kienickers and Sat does not work Tracy and Raymond are coming over with the boys to take me out for dinner
Me : MOTHER !!! you just said you had NOTHING going on for days now I find out you are having a sleep over and being taken out my your grandkids
Mudder: well ... ya ..... but it is still awful quiet here
this crap is never going to stop she will continue to do this ... do I pretend I dont notice and carry on or give her hell when she does it
