"Who watches the WATCHMEN?!?"
Ehhh, I wish I didn't.
Quickly rewind to the 80's...
Alan Moore writes a "ground-breaking" comic mini-series for DC comics.
It was "criticaly acclaimed" and has MANY re-publications...
Now, fast-forward to NOW.
WATCHMEN gets made into a feature film.
It gets the same reviews as the book (despite the fact it's author HATES the flick).
That being said, I think they made the comic book come to life.
There were scenes in the movie that were shot EXACTLY like frames from the book.
...that's about the only redeeming quality I found.
BOTTOM LINE: If you're a fan of the comic, go see it. If not, rent the DVD if you're curious. It's 2 hours and 42 minutes, so ask yourself... do you really want to be without a "PAUSE" button during this?!?
