Jai Fm2 Sweet Dreams's blog: "From Jai"

created on 01/26/2009  |  http://fubar.com/from-jai/b274146

I think everyone can agree I'm a pretty vocal and opinionated person, as are millions of people around the world.

The reason why people like me aren't locked up or even put to death is because of the men and women who not only put their lives on the line for American freedoms, but for our allies in the free world as well.

Much respect to the Veterans that have come before, much love for the Veterans here and now, and much prayers for our future Veterans.

And God bless the wives, husbands, daughters, sons, mothers, and fathers of our Veterans.

America is great because of your sacrifices, and I for one will never forget that fact...

On December 14th of last year, a young man entered an elementary school and fatally shot over two dozen people.

   Twenty children died that day.

Unfortunately we all now know where Newtown, Connecticut is and our hearts pour out for them.

We've also engaged in a national, and worldwide, debate about "gun control" in the states.

This is where it gets tricky...

If you know me, you know I love my video games and action-packed movies. I've waited at midnight for the release of BORDERLANDS 2 on the XBOX360 as well as a secret screening of ZOMBIELAND.

But when I received HALO 4 for Christmas, something didn't seem right when I played it.

Do movies and video games really glorify violence?

Do they not only bring the best out of us, but the worse as well?

After the release of DJANGO UNCHAINED, I see where it brings out the worse...

Not only did this film's star Jamie Foxx joke about "killing all the white people" on SNL, but now Twitter has a bunch of moviegoers saying the same:

"Django just inspired me to go shoot some white people"

"We need a modern dy(sic) django to kill some white people"

"i wanna shoot a gun.. i wanna take self defense classes.. i wanna shoot white people.. and i wanna watch django again"

...it goes on, you can read these tweets and more HERE.

And I'm not saying video games and violent movies CREATE killers, I've already had debates with my fellow gamers and movie addicts.

I'm just saying let's stop focusing on guns, and start focusing on the culture this society is nurturing.

We can't continue to blame SOCIETY when we ARE society...

Alright, years ago I took up a second job at a fast food joint...

I actually ended up dating the owner's daughter, even getting to know her 4-year old daughter.

Now, I knew this girl had issues but I still kicked it with her after I left her work.

...eventually there came a time where I stopped by, and we were all cuddly and shit on the sofa...

Her daughter was upstairs with her friend, and it seemed we were all cool...

*knock knock*

She looked at me and said something I can't remember, but it was something like "This is not what I do all the time"...

Once I saw the two guys at the door, I knew what she meant...

Skinny guys in dirty jeans with dirty and ripped shirts...

Long story short, it was obvious to me the hot Italian girl I was falling for was not only returning to coke but to crack...

I was pissed at her letting these strangers in her house while her daughter and friend was upstairs...

I... left...

...

Fastforward about 10 years...

I was bored on FB and searched her, found her one sister...

I found the daddy of that girl's daughter, and clicked that...

...turns out, he has the daughter and she's a deadbeat...

Can't say I'm suprised, but I admit my first instinct was to find her and help...

...there was a time I loved her...

...but I know I can't do anything for her that she can't do for herself...

An Update...

It's weird being away from this site for too long...

There's alot I missed, alot I'm glad I missed, and alot I just plum forgot...

That being said, I don't think I ever want to stop being a member here.

I continue to meet cool new people under the radar, and even those that the general public would consider my "enemies"...

For those that love the gossip, I didn't leave for any one reason...

I mean, I did a few consecutive years on here through some drama and still stuck around.

And I'm not one to blame what happens in my real life, but I have had to take care of some things lately.

But after taking a hiatus from here, I kinda like the fact of just being a part-time mummer/point-hoar.

For those that truly miss me, I'm active on FB alot thanks to my mobile app.

Facebook.com/JaiSimon

Plus, if you didn't know, there's a "secret" MuMMers group on FB...ask any mummer how to join (y)

Thanks for reading, and God bless...

I'm a racist bigot.

Recently, I was called that.

Now if you've known me at all, you know that's far from true.

I am against the mosque being built close to 9/11 NOT because of race, but because so many New Yorkers are AGAINST it.

When was the last time I complained about a mosque being built?!?

Did I protest the recent Islamic center in Kent?!?

No.

The person who called me this has never gotten to know me.

It kind of reminds me of a pic I saw the other day:

"When you're losing an arguement, yell 'RACIST'."

But, I need to calm down and know that those closest to me know me for who I really am...

At My Core...

I'm not one to make blogs like this, so realize you are now a part of history.

Online relationships come and go, trust me.

When MySpace first came out, and before high-schoolers ruined it, I started meeting girls from online.

Granted, it was easy to meet local folks on there compared to fubar now.

MySpace soon became the new "bar scene" for me.

I actually got to know girls, without being tipsy and without watching the clock for the dreaded LAST CALL.

So, I'm not against the idea of "online dating".

...

Fast-forward quite a few years, and it's a different story...

...especially with fubar.

This profile is almost 4 years, so that makes my original almost 5 years old.

Five years on fubar, and I only thought of travelling to meet TWO girls on this site.

ONE who was really close to me, and another who I really enjoyed our interactions...

Neither ever happened.

But during this time, I met someone.

Someone who impressed me with her morals and outlook on life.

The friendship grew, continues to grow, and will hopefully always grow...

Now, off to a tangent...

A nickname I gave her was "Core", a shortened version of her name.

Recently, I was watching my favorite movie of late, IRON MAN.

If you're not familar, the hero suffers from a major attack early on, and ends up needing electric power to keep his heart beating.

Eventually, he creates a power source in his chest to keep his heart alive...

...a "core".

...

Cheesy, I know.

But what the hell, life's too short NOT to be cheesy.

I've been ignorant to the state of my heart lately, so I'm glad to return to basics and be "giddy as a schoolboy"...

...this is my love letter.

You are all free to puke now :p

Lebron James' favorite baseball team, the NY Yankees played the Cleveland Indians in Cleveland the other day.

Well, some douche thought it'd be cool to wear his new Miami Heat Lebron jersey to the game...

(further proof "common sense" is no longer COMMON)

Obviously, Cleveland sports fans said something as he walked to his seat.

Things escalated, and eventually he had to be escorted out of the stadium for his own safety, as the crowd chanted "asshole, asshole" and the classic "nah nah nah nah, hey hey hey, GOODBYE"...

He was given the chance to change his shirt and re-enter the game with a better seat, but the dumbass is playing the "victim" card...

*rolls eyes*

Lebron, we await the first HEAT vs CAVS game...

*the video will be posted in COMMENTS as well for those having FuFLASH issues*

If you know me, you know I don't have a problem with either groups.

If I see a MuMMer being a jackass, I'll say something.

If I see a Point Hoar or RED-NAME being a dumbass, I'll say something.

I really want to build a bridge, a bridge of communication between these two groups of Fubar.

But every now and then, I get the Benedict Arnold kind of treatment...

And since I already got THAT treatment ONCE this week with someone named LeBron, I'm kinda upset.

For you RED-NAMES and higher-ups, please realize something...

You NEED to have publicity for your MuMM to level.

So, to the RED-NAME that blocked me AFTER I defended you and AFTER I shared your MuMM, THANKS for proving the stereotype about your kind RIGHT.

There are quite a few MuMMers that try to give ya'll a benefit of a doubt, but you just turned the page back.

Personally, I WON'T hold other RED-NAMES and such responsible for your actions but no telling WHAT others will do...

So, in closing, please BLACKLIST this idiot:

Thank you, and I hope further relations between MuMMers and RED-NAMES can continue...

LeBron WHO?!?

Well, if you haven't heard by now, that basketball player that was born and raised in my city and promised he'd bring a championship to Cleveland is NOW playing for the Miami Heat.

Back in the mid 90s, a man named Art Modell took the football team he owned and moved them to Baltimore.

To this day, he still will not step foot in northeast Ohio.

My facebook is FULL of fans comparing LeBron to Modell.

But this is WORSE considering he was one of US.

Akron born, Akron raised.

Hell, he grew up watching the Cavs and Browns and know what it's like being a fan here (arguably THE best fans ever).

But, there are good things to come out of this.

Once again Cleveland fans have rallied around each other AND Dan Gilbert (Cavs owner) released a letter that sums it up for us all:

"Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working, loyal, and driven staff over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER 'KING' WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

DELIVERING YOU the championship you have long deserved and is long overdue...."

Nuff' said.

There's NOTHING tougher then a Cleveland fan...
