This is what I was working on Sunday. Linearts to test out a color scheme before I actually post it. Sees I gots these goufs.... and I wants to dos me some custom colors And I'm... pretty lazy. Well, thats not really the problem, the real problem is I'm also still stockpiling for a workshop, and I'm always planning other builds. And people keep calling me for 10 hours of every weekend.

The purple one on the right is the original concept... which I arm wrestled for hours

then I turned around and did the one on the left based on the same team's older custom colors.

You would NOT believe how hard it is to find black and white linearts for these fuggers.

That was half the battle.

I broke down and picked up a flat red and a glossy bright yellow for a couple other builds... what the fuck was the red for? ... ... ...

And I picked up some sandpaper glue and squeeze bottles.

Duh. The grates and jets on my Kampfer.

Plan is-
finish Neue Ziel. And that really just involves 8 more pieces primed, and a BUTT load of pieces colored.
Did I do 3 coats of color or 2...

My paint to water ratio is off again. Too thin.
But damn cleanup sure is easy when you're using mostly water.

I need to swap blades on my exacto, I need to consider puttying, paneling, and sanding.

I could've dropped 14$ on some sand-sticks (relabeled nail files) or I could've spent $3 on 100x more sandpaper and a cardboard box that I could cut and glue the paper to :B

I'm that smart.
I'm that cheap.

Still need a pin vise, drill set, and a stockpile of scrap.

I think now that I've all but decided on the paint scheme (the one on the left- go ahead and convince me otherwise) I'm gonna try and ... ... *spaces out for a minute*

I was going to draw some of the panel lines on the lineart and see what I liked.
I'm still planning a custom sword and a custom heat rod with a claw end.

God damn this shit is ambitious for my first real custom.

I should consider just getting some tech work in, sand file putty paint.

But sand file, panel line, custom parts, putty, paint... I'm surprised I haven't talked myself into doing some accents (recutting the angles at a sharper angle to make the kit more dynamic and geometric) ... *puts down his knife*

That way if someone needs something from me, or I'm expected to be somewhere, I can freak the fuck out three weeks in advance, and then work it in my head and prepare for it to the point if perfection so there's no longer a cause to freak out. All scenarios worked out.
