The Mists
I come upon a lake nearby,
Not knowing what surely may lie.
I pick up a stone or two,
Skipping them across,
There was nothing else to do.
Thinking of you holding me tight,
Wondering if this will be my last night.
A suddle tear falls from my eye,
Like a drop of rain falling from the sky.
Wondering if you would ever take my heart
Or break it, beat it, and tear it apart.
Beating, pumping, yearning for you,
Is there truley anything I can do?
A shadow appears before my eyes,
Like a rolling fog, it passes by.
A hand raises from the lake,
Is this a chance that I must take?
A calming voice fills the air
My senses are highten, should I dare?
The touch was gentle and full of grace,
Was I to belong to this mysterious place?
I grasp the hand and firmly hold
Pulling the phantom, oh so bold.
Ermerging from the water deep
Wondering what it wants with me.
A woman appears before my eyes
Filling my soul with a great sigh.
Before I had a chance to even speak
She tells me my future is far from bleak.
She say, my heart is strong and pure
But you must be sure your love is sure.
The one you seek will soon
You will know what to do.
On my cheek, she did kiss
Then she vanished within the mist.
I turn to see my love returned
My heart is beating with such a burn.
I tell her I love her and all is right
She smiles and holds me oh so sight.
In my kiss I did see
Two lovers were wedand one was me.
Myheart I give with all my might
Hoping you feel the same tonight.
Telling you what I feel is true
My heart will always bleed for you.
