Please read this carefully. This is not a joke. I see this happen daily and you come to support frantic and expect us to put out your fire.
This is some of the stuff you open yourself up to.
-that dude you were fuengaged to who bombed for you while you were at work. He will give your password out to his other girl and she will get jealous and you two will start war. If you are stupid enough to allow someone into your account, then you are probably stupid enough to allow that person to buy bling. That dude will buy his sanchita some bling packs, and you will come crying to support that you were hacked. You were not hacked. You were stupid. Follow the golden rule.
-You decided you want to make a few extra points and let some fu-cheater log into your account to work whatever magic they are selling. They log in and lock you out and delete all your shit. They use up all your rangs and bombs and start making all your private gallaries public OR they just delete those photos that you have worked so hard to have rated. You then come crying to me you were hacked. You were not hacked. You were hustled. There is a difference. Follow the golden rule.
-You innocently give some dude your login cuz he is going to spruce up your profile. He is not as nice as you thought, and he locks you out and starts using your profile to pimp all his friends. You gave him your paypal info as well for some dumb reason and he goes on a spree buying up bling and gifting babyjesus fuponies. You then come to support claiming you were hacked. You were not hacked. You were stupid. Luckily babyj is NOT stupid. He knows fuponies don’t grow on trees. Follow the golden rule.
-Ok one last one to make my point! So you decide to send some fool some photos for that bling pack. He offers you some too good to be true deal and you really want to level. All you are thinking is bombs and rangs and you give up that password so he can make the deal happen. You know it’s shady grey market fu business, but you are ok with it. Ooops….you got hustled. Yep….homie doesn’t follow through and locks up your account. He starts spending your bling and he also posts up that little video cam clip you two had. You come to me frantic claiming you were hacked. You were not hacked. You were a fool. Follow the golden rule.
I will always try and help you with this stuff, but you people need to also take some responsibility for your actions. KEEP YOUR PASSWORD SECURE! DON’T Give out your information to anyone.

What is a FUBAR Salute? A salute is a candid photo of yourself proving to the world that you're the real person behind your FUBAR profile. Your face should be clearly visible, along with a clear HAND WRITTEN note with the following three things:
1. Your SCREEN NAME
2, Your Member ID number
3. NO SHADES or MIDDLE FINGERS allowed
4. NO heavy make up or masks, no body salutes(hands and arms will be accepted if legible and you've completed #5).
5. No unique salutes(hands, arms, CDs etc) until you get a paper salute approved.
6. AND, the words: fubar.com. *Photoshopped or any “type” print set will NOT be accepted. *Grainy and barely legible salutes will NOT be accepted, and you MUST show how the sign is supported(IE show your hand, not just the tips of your fingers).
*Salutes placed in a PRIVATE album will NOT be accepted. If you would like, the following items will be accepted as a complimentary add on to your Salute: You may wear your LostCherry or CT t-shirt, and show your fubar.com Home Page (which has to be clear) as part of your background. Please include the above three items to ENSURE your salute is verified.
All Salutes are approved by the fubar bouncers.
Using fake or bogus photos will result in your account being removed. NSFW, Nudes, privately marked, or exposed photos are NOT acceptable.
We will reject any salute that looks suspect or is questionable. Please do not take this personal. If your Salute is rejected, please simply submit a new salute following the above guidelines. If you see a salute that looks FAKE, please report to a bouncer or SCRAPPER. Sometimes, FAKE salutes slip through the cracks. We will audit any salute that is deemed FAKE and take appropriate action immediately.

***I originally wrote this blog in 2007 about missed referrals. It is still relevant today. This also applies to mercenaries.
We do not credit for missed referrals. If you signed someone up and did not get credit, it could be one of the following:
1. You cheated.
2. The person signing up's browser did not track your referral ID. (This could be associated to anti spyware, virus ware or security settings)
We will not investigate, credit or debate missed referrals.
Here are a few tips to making sure you do get credit. There are NO guarantees that this will work. 99.99% of the time missed referrals are due to user error or the person's computer OR something shady is going on.
1. Use the "Link to this profile" code on your homepage or in fuMafia
2. Use the INVITE link on the upper left navigation panel.
3 If you are linking banners on another site, please use this referral code.
TIP: If your brothers uncle was signing on from your laptop or house or your sister's brother's cousin from Facebook was on a business server on Long Island or Hawaii and his friend's uncle signed up from his computer.....uhm.....yea I think that's how that went..it probably will not work nor do we have the capacity to figure out why it didn't. Please play fairly and you should not have a problem.
5/22 Update: I have noticed that people who use a lot of weird firefox addons or privacy software often have problems with referrals. So...if you mom, brother, grandma, random friend signs up and you do not get credit. It could be because of their security settings or some addon or browser extension that fouled up the process. WE WILL NOT CREDIT REFERRALS.
If you are one of those people who show as the the referrer but you did not get credit. It means our system rejected the you getting credit because it did not appear to be legit.
The most important take away is....WE DO NOT CREDIT REFERRALS!

Many people use debit cards, gift cards or pay as you go debit cards on this site. This is totally fine and they usually work great. There are some VERY important things you need to know to avoid getting your card declined.
Debit cards hold a higher security than regular credit cards being that they are linked to active cash. Merchant accounts are very strict about online purchases with debit cards for this reason.
Many of you use cards that are gift cards or pay as you go where you have to register personal information. fubar will NOT accept any gift card that do not have an address registered. Make sure you remember exactly what personal information you have registered with that card.
This is the most important information I will give you.
To avoid any problems with your purchases, please make sure you enter the EXACT personal information you have registered with card. If you do not know it or or not sure, make sure you confirm it. if you enter it wrong your transaction will be declined and an authorization will be posted to your account. It will appear as if the money is deducted. It is not. The merchant account has declined the transaction and is holding the money because they believe there might be fraud. If you keep doing this, you will keep charging it up.
Once you see the error your transaction did not go through. Make sure to slow down and check your Credit card information or this will keep happening.
Unfortunately there is NOTHING we can do once you have pending authorizations from you bank. They will fall off in 7-10 days.Your bank will tell you that we can do this or that. I am telling you we can't. This has nothing to do with fubar. This has to do with the merchant account
I know you will be pissed off hearing this, but the best solution is to call your bank and confirm your personal information and ask why the transaction was declined.
I have looked into multiple claims in the last two days. With out fail they have all been declined transactions for:
-wrong address
-wrong zip
-wrong spelling of street
-wrong security pin
-wrong spelling in the name
As much as you might not believe that you are at fault, please take the time to take some responsibility. Please do us both a favor and take this information very seriously so you can avoid any headaches.

We have been making some changes and tweaks to various areas of the site.
1. We doubled your photo storage for non VIP and VIP users.
2. We increased the daily 11's from 100 to 250 for VIP's.
3. We removed the bouncer checks on ratings.
4. We made it so you can now fuPal bling credits to each other.

We removed them? No it is not a conspiracy. It just looks better.
We were very diplomatic about it. An overwhelming majority think the symbols are as annoying as I do :)

Babyj hooked it up today.
He doubled the number of photos each level can have, and also the number vips can have (from 5000 to 10000).
He also doubled the number of 11's vip's get each day from 100 to 200.

Many people ask me daily about their VIP. The following information should help answer all of your VIP questions.
1. If you are paying 14.71, you are on a reoccurring VIP. If you do not cancel it before the renewal date, you will be billed every month. If you cancel before the renewal date, you will still maintain your VIP status until the expiration date. If you are on a reoccurring, you are responsible for canceling your VIP.
2. If you do not want to be on a reoccurring monthly charge, you can purchase a month to month VIP for $20 bucks or you can gift a month to month or more. This type of VIP expires after the allotted time.
3. If you want to check the status or cancel a VIP, click into your settings and look for the link that says "click here to check your VIP status." This link will send you to your VIP Status page where it will give you the option to cancel your VIP. This page will also give you the date your VIP expires.
4. Our system sends courtesy notices when your VIP is about to run out. This is a "COURTESY" notice. Often users will complain they got no notice their VIP was about to expire. If you fall into this group, simply buy a new VIP.
5. If you see "too many failures" on your VIP status page. This means your card failed. You will be re-billed until you resolve with your bank. To avoid account suspension, please make sure you have the funds to cover your VIP if you are on a reoccurring.
6. If you want to change the credit card you being billed on, please cancel your VIP. Sign back up on the day it expires with the new card.
