Star Crossed And Sleepless
People stroll by me in a daze
Unsure of their own destinations
Unconvinced of the glory that awaits them in their own long, sought after dreams
I can’t help but think it’s a tragedy
A beautiful, yet ugly calamity
A fall from grace if you will
A plunge from such a height that they may never reach the ground
Destined to always walk amongst the clouds, never realizing their place and age in this life
Forever carrying that silent rage bottled up inside of them so deep
Their entire life a direct result of one missed opportunity …
That missed prospect they neglected to acknowledge whilst they walked perilously down the wrong street
Its almost surreal how they must feel
The ever pressing urge to spill all of their thoughts and apparitions out into the gutters we all walk by
Pretending to not hope upon hopelessness that they to may one day fly free, with the rest of us
