Hey there everyone sorry its been so long since I added to this conglomerate of bitch sessions.. been busy dealing with the real source of these... the public. Today i think one of my top gripes is gonna be people who drive small cars and think they must be magic.
For those of you who have ever moved a household you understand that when moving you have to transport items from one loacation to another. Most people use a large vehicle, either a truck or a van or rent a semi. LARGE being the opt word. WHY is it that when people go to the store to buy said large items they bring the smallest car they have and not only buy the biggest thing possible but insist that this item and 5 friends who came with them are going to fit back in said car. Case in point: Its weekend before superbowl and you decide you want a larger TV to watch the game. So you hop in the car and drive to your local TV retailer. Since its a big item you decide to take your 3 largest male friends to help carry this said TV. You go into the store, spend 30 minutes hmmmming and hrrrming and deciding on just the perfect TV. You find a wide screen 41" that will look awesome in your living room and decide thats the one. You pay for the TV and as you and your 3 largest friends are leaving the employee that is helping you out to the car out of courtsey, notices you are walking towards the Silver Honda the size of a postage stamp. The employee looks at you and looks at the Tv then looks at the car....... "I dont think its going to fit in the back of your car" the employee states. "sure it will!" You reply. Soooooo for the next 45 minutes you and your big friends an this lucky employee try to fit this TV in your car. You take it out of the box ( and if the employee wasnt with you would leave it in the parking lot) you try in the trunk, in the back seat, straped to the top, and finally decide it wont fit. One of your hair brained friends says " we could take out the seats and get it in." so now as the four of you are trying to remove the seats to get this TV in the Employee now steps back and watches with Awe. 2 hours later and about 8 busted knuckles later you now have this TV crammed into our Honda. The seats are in the trunk and tied in. As you look at your vehicle you realize that now there is no room for you or your friends to get in the car. You have 4 choices: A: you can squeeze in the car and leave your friends there promising to return to get them. But then you realize if you dont have them with you, ya cant get the TV OUT of the car. B: You think you might be able to fit one friend laying along the top of the TV against the roof of the car but yet again can the two of you get this beast out at the other end. C: You ask the employee who has been secretly laughing hysterically at you. if they deliver. or D: you give up Pull the TV out and then ask one of your beefy guy friends if you can borrow his truck to move it in..... Why in the HELL didnt you do this to begin with. I have seen this more times than I can count. From Foutons to Dressers to TV's remember if you are heading out to buy something large think about how in the hell you are going to get it home.
