My wife has had a stroke that occurred on her brain stem. I am bringing her home for hospice this week.
Sadly I have opted to remove fluid and food intake and have her placed on a morphine drip. she has lost speech, swallowing and the use of her arms and legs. We had told each other a long time ago that we did not want to live as vegatables.
Hardest decision I have ever made.
