What the Media Won't Tell You

How could we know? Did you know that DUE TO THE TROOPS: 47 countries have now re-established their embassies in Iraq ? Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people? Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools are under rehabilitation, 263 new schools are now under construction, and 38 new schools have been completed in Iraq ? Did you know that Iraq's higher education structure now consists of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or Colleges, and 4 research centers, all currently operating? Did you know - that Iraqi women are now allowed to attend schools? Did you know that 25 Iraqi students departed for the United States in January 2005, for the re-established Fulbright program? Did you know that the Iraqi Navy is now operational? That they have five (5) - 100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels, and a naval infantry regiment. Did you know that Iraq's Air Force now consists of three operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130 transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day and night, and they'll soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers? Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a Commando Battalion? Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully trained and equipped police officers? Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq , that produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks? Did you know there are now more than 1100 building projects going on in Iraq ? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83 railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69 electrical facilities. Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential election had a televised debate recently? OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW! WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW? YOUR NEWS MEDIA REFUSES TO TELL THIS! Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos of flag burnings, incidents at Abu Ghraib and people throwing things at the presidential motorcades. Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq serves three major purposes of the liberal news media: 1. It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United States, thus minimizing consequent support; 2. It is intended to discourage American citizens and erode their support for the war. 3. It is intended to help the Democratic Party gain more power in the next elections. ---- All the above facts about Iraq are verifiable on the Department of Defense website: www.defenselink.mil Pass it on! Give this wide distribution, PLEASE. ~ GOD BLESS AMERICA ! PRAY FOR AMERICAN TROOPS.

War On Terror

This posting is from an email that I recieved from Grassfire.org. They are a good organization that is really in tune with what is happening in the world. I try not to get political in my posts, but I loved this one and thought it was worth sharing. __________________________________________________ From the Desk of: Steve Elliott, President Grassfire.org 7/30/2007 Bobby, I want to share an email I received recently supposedly written by an angry housewife from New Jersey. Ron De Jong is from New Jersey, and is often pretty angry. I had him read it, and he's convinced it's authentic. Regardless, it does accurately reflect my feelings towards the war, our troops, and those who continue to bash this war on terror. "Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it not started by Islamic radicals who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001? Weren't 3,000 American men and women murdered that day in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol, and in a field in Pennsylvania? Am I supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Perhaps I'll start caring when Osama Bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating those innocent Americans. I may start caring when these Middle Eastern fanatics start caring about the Holy Bible--the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia. Perhaps I'll start caring when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, I simply don't care. When I see a wounded terrorist shot in the head when he's told not to move because he may be booby-trapped, I don't care. If you don't care about this email, simply delete it. But know this... don't complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen right here in our great country. As Ronald Reagan said, 'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But the Marines don't have that problem.' "Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you": 1. Jesus Christ 2. The American G.I. If you share my sentiments, I urge you to pass this message along and urge your friends and family to click here to sign our petition supporting our troops and the mission at hand: http://www.grassfire.org/76/petition.asp?RID=9894666 If you'd like one of our exclusive "Support the Troops" yard signs, please click here: http://www.grassfire.net/troops.asp?rid=9894666 Thank you for your support of our troops!
