My grandfather led choir in church for several years.
My mother participated at singing at a town store for several years, which helped get more customers.
Two of my pastors in high school let me lead singing some.
I can easily carry a tune and sight read, and wave my arms properly. Since I seldom miss a note, other bass singers can easily follow my voice.
My 1st wife mary was a musician -- singer alto/soprano, pianist, and later organist, she also taught music some.
I can't sing solo, but can sing duet through quartet. I can also improvise bass, and hum a lot.
Myself sing bass and also alto an octave lower, best friend Kevin sings baritone, Bobby Ray professional on 1st CD album sings baritone/tenor, and Jack singer on upcoming CD sings tenor.
In high school I also played music instrumental, but not piano, or I might have majored in music composition in college. I did take a music composition course in college nevertheless and got an A.
My instruments were all brass -- treble clef baritone where my tone quality was best, bass cleff trombone where i did the widest participation including later at freshman year in college, bass trumpet, and tuba. I participatted in jazz group, and football Dixieland band in high school.
I own a trombone, and had a baritone. The baritone was stolen eventually.
I have career sponsored musical endeavors, because I am a lyricist snd had some funds available. Second CD we are working on will
hopefully include Venus Playgirl.
I appreciate all kinds of music except rap and heavy metal, in particular jazz where
the "Another Place" CD by Hiroshima had a big effect on my life personally. That is the only CD of theirs which I like a lot.
I like several singers, about 8 but don't remember many of their names at any given time.
Currently I mostly listen to music on my radio when traveling long distances.
I am trying hard to get Kevin to get off his butt and write some more of the music compositions to the 2nd CD, to which I have given
him the lyrics, but he seems to be more interested in just playing guitar and singing
at Karaoke etc currently. Kevin taught himself rhythm guitar and then he later taught himself lead guitar.
