... instead of spending the next 6 hours getting every upgrade on MML2, I wrote future self a note on where/how to farm money and what future me was missing.
I was that bored with it.
27 hours.
... at least 20 of that was farming money for upgrades I did not need.
On the hardest difficulty, 2/3 power 2/3 ammo 3/3 range of the "shining lazer" subweapon and a 4 full health items was enough to blow through the
ZOMG IMPOSSIBLE BOSS!!!
in about 320 seconds.
Both stages of the boss
after 6 minibosses along the way.
I didn't even get through half of my ammo.
Seriously- people write entire guides just for this boss.
I can sum it up with 2 options
get good
or
shining lazer
You have to stand still to fire it (not a good idea in a boss fight in any genre)
but it has the best sustained damage. Even fresh out of the box, without the 5 million I spent tweaking it, its a godkiller.
So
yeah...
easy mode problem solver
Zombie infestation?
Shining lazer.
Jar lid stuck?
Shining lazer.
Giant robot attack?
Shining lazer.
Girls don't like you?
Shining lazer.

Although, I did replay Final Fantasy Tactics for about 500 hours for the... 9th time?
(not an exageration, I was playing it in cafes, in the can, while I played other games, while I watched TV, on airplanes, waiting rooms, everywhere)
I dunno... the story is kinda stupid
the main character is kinda fey
but there ARE robots.
Customizeable robots.
With big guns.
And I've already got a few other games earmarked, and ... hmmm infinity mode on jade cocoon...
