i am an ever changing, growing and aging man that enjoys a peaceful life

i am very content with myself and where my life is today

this summer has been a great summer (2011). one activity that i have been spending a great amount of time, thought and effort on is local kayaking



i love my old town camden 120, its been strapped on my truck all spring and summer just waiting to get in the water. i prefer to go solo when on the water, i have a high def camcorder that i rigged up to my boat and record areas on the water that i find of interest. i upload all of the recordings that i make no matter how short or bad they turned out.

these videos can be found on youtube @ liverontheriver. maybe someday i'll make a website that includes a map of iowa where you can click on a waterway and have an option to view the videos from that stream or river? as time progresses maybe venture out of my state?





i use my bicycle as a main form of kayak hauling. i will park my truck at the designated extraction point, then ride up to the launch point, floating down to my pickup
