i put a wanted add in a local free swap sheet for some free carpet.
i got a call a little while ago and scored a good amount, should be enough to cover the ceiling and most of the walls if not all of the walls.
the carpeting is in different lengths and colors which is not an issue by any means cause i just want it to help soften echoes to make my drum room even more soundproof.
should i cut the carpet into 2' strips and overlap them for even more texture which should result in more sound absorption?
-or-
should i use full chunks?
i will be doing the work myself, cutting in strips will mean more work, but it may make it easier for me to nail them to the ceiling rafters
