Okay, I was on the phone for
FOUR FUCKING HOURS TODAY!

For my besty to nag me to buy his games (for the sixth time this week)

and for my brother to tell me he didn't get the olathe job (FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-)

and for my wingbat cousin to insist on talking about how he's totally gonna buy a house.

Four hours later my throat is DEAD. Like dry rubber on fucking dry rubber.
No cornstarch. Nothing.

But I did buy some acryllic paint, and got the ol' atomizer out.

I'd have two primer coats already if
I knew what the fuck I was doing
and if I didn't get phone fucked (not in the fun way).

I stripped my Nieueu Ziel SD, pried some parts off and laid down a thin layer of white primer.

I made the mistake of

... thinning it before trying it
not having enough cleaning solution on hand
and not having a proper drying rig.

So here I am doing one piece at a time one side at a time with my forceps, holding the nozzle too close, blasting the material off with pure air pressure and not enough goo, and generally making a fuckwitastrifical mess.

I love learning.
I'm actually kinda encouraged when I'm bad at something straight out the gate, means I won't get bored that easy.

Anyway, the dispersal patter wasn't what I was expecting, the thickness (will be thicker when I stop thinning it) and ... I'm pretty sure this shit has at least a 2 hour dry period.

I'm a little nervous about doing a full breakdown and a full deep clean on my parts because... uuh I never have before and can't find anyone that has.

So I ran hot soapy water (what the manufacturers recommmend for this type of paint) through the contact parts and over the surface, she's got some new character but this shit seriously comes off with my fingernail.

So...

Gonna keep trying to prime the nieue ziel, and I only ripped off half of it thus far because this is uuh

I'm already getting a pretty good feel for how to move and how to layer I just really need to rig a good drying system and learn the layering, hopefully I won't have to triple prime double coat or anything crazy
but I'm ready to. I've got WAY too much paint in the smallest quantities they sell.
I have 1 qrt white primer and 3 quarts of colors I'll use... twice?
And mostly on test pieces.

Think I'll fuck up my 1/144 Gundam ground type too.

I got piano black, semi-gloss violet, and dark dark flat royalty blue... which I'm guessing isn't the same as royal blue

I dunno, it looks fucking BOMB though. And its gonna look great on my Ramba Ral custom.
