A good friend who knows me well told me I'm a "Poet Chipmunk."
I laughed out loud and asked him what the hell he meant by that! He said it's because I churn out these excellent but incredibly intense poems for people and hand them over as a gift like a Chipmunk offering up an acorn! LOL!
HA! It's a pretty good analogy actually I think....
Some people are intimidated by my poetry, others are flattered and deeply touched.
I think how you receive it depends on your self-esteem.
I would personally be very flattered if someone wrote a poem for me, but in truth, thus far anyway, all of my poems were inspired by my late husband Gus, The-Love-Of-MY-Life.
